Raw footage of a Tigercat 1165 Harvester

Tigercat 1165 Harvester Processing Lumber on Halloween. Shot on a GoPro Hero 8 Black on a Magnet Mount.
Is there no mechanical or electronic damping control on the opening for knives or rolls? Slow it down or use damping. Or just beat the stops out i guess. That's also an option
The equipment seems unnecessarily large for the size of the trees. Kind of overkill.
So are we thinning for pole.quality or saw log. Red pine is used for pulp I would assume mainly
I wonder how much them guys make off logging
I am in Florida and down here we haul as much tree length wood as possible why do yall cut it all up for double bunk
Better utilization. This is what the entire infrastructure was designed around as well. Ctl is also a lot less invasive. Ctl is already in Florida, and will grow
Một cỗ máy thật tuyệt vời ❤❤
This looks like a tree farm not logging lol
There is more than one way to skin a cat. this is how we do it here in this area of Michigan because the state has plenty of flat land for seeding conifers. Thanks for the comment.
Wow, the footage is impressive!
Some nice looking pine like we have here in Ringwood Forest in the UK.
Thanks for watching.
Do you guys have a market for the oak pulp? Or is it firewood?
I believe it gets shredded for construction materials like OSB, Particle Board, ETC.
These are really good videos
Vau. Teillä on kaksi modernia konetta metsässä (ponsse ja deere) ja kaksi 1800 luvun konetta 😂😂

Whether forest management after the presidential elections in the USA will change?
🤣😂
The spread on the back bogies must make quite a difference in the ride and stability?
Hi Andrew, The long-bogie configuration for the 1510G improves the sideways stability of the rear frame while driving, and provides lower ground pressure than standard bogie models in soft terrain.
Nice to see some Michigan loggers on UA-cam.
How many cords can that skidded carry
@@Stevegrulke Hey Steve, the John Deere website says the 1510G has a load rating of 33,069 lb, so if an average cord is 3/4 ton, it would be able to carry roughly 20 cords, depending on how well the operators pack it.
@ wow. Thanks. My father in law had iron mule and u could maybe get 2 cords. That was 30 years ago. Thanks for the info.
First 🥇
