Rhymesayers is a Midwest independent rap label that used to have incredible influence in hip-hop, though I’d argue it’s popularity has waned a bit as trends in rap music have changed. The Ali songs you’ve reacted to so far really cover a relatively wide span of his career. The stuff off of Room with a View is now over 20 years old, and you can tell he’s much younger and more aggressive. For what it’s worth, as far as him being a radical or a revolutionary, I can tell you that in Minneapolis he used to be a regular sight at some militant actions or protests in service of helping poor working class people. Check out Officer Down or Mourning in America if you want to hear some more political songs.

Jedi Mind tricks is a Philadelphia based group consisting of Vinnie Paz, his producer Stoupe and formerly Jus Allah but he got kicked out like bolic said at the end. Vinnie Paz also has another group called Army of the Pharaos, which Jus was also a part of. The group contains rappers like Apathy, Celph Titled, Esoteric, Reef the lost Cauze and Block McCloud thats why diabolic talked about them.

I agreed with some of the things you said but not everything. That's ok. We have to stop demonizing each other for having different beliefs. In the end there is no reason to think other people are messing up the country.

My dream is an election where no one shows up to the polls.. or we just clean house with career criminals.. I mean politicians lol.. I'm tired of seeing families fighting over this stuff. But really it doesn't effect my house hold too much, I try to keep it under an umbrella of protection from it. I just like that Ren does music that brings about this kind of conversation and I salute you for talking instead of attacking, that's usually not how it happens anymore. I filter my tap water through a countertop filter jug. The filters are plastic but one lasts a month, seems better than single use plastic bottles. Thanks for your reaction.

Keeping an eye out ... don't worry too much about negative comments, unfortunately every reactor gets them. There's always something other people think you should have done differently or not said ! A comment is a comment as far as the UA-cam algorhythm is concerned and ironically they can help get your reactions promoted in peoples' feeds. Great track this one. <3

He was signed by Sony at the time he was getting sick originally. The contract ran out because he couldn't recover enough to do live shows and recording work so they released him from it. By the time he recovered sufficiently, he realized he didn't actually need a label - and could keep control of creativity / earn the same from way lower sales and streams if he leveraged the traction he'd built up going viral on UA-cam and TikTok.

Just to be clear. The medical system really let Ren down by insisting his illness was in his head, but he is pushing bpundaries looking for alternatives or treatments that will help him. He takes almost 100 pills a day to stay functioning abd still had a serious relapse because he still has Lyme and autoimmunity plys several other conditions due to the delay in proper treatment. He is also allergic to almost everything, so needs to take many supplements. One antibiotic he takes is $950 per month. He has issues with big pharma..

Ren was bitten by a tick & contracted Lyme's disease at 19. Lyme's attacks every part of the body, including the brain. He was misdiagnosed for 8 yrs. While Lyme's ravaged his body, he was told that it was all in his head or that he was a hypochondriac. He was given all kinds of medications that either didn't help or made him worse. The pig will reappear in other videos. To Ren, the pig represents greed & it also represents his illness. Even on his best days, he still has pain. Because his symptoms are always there, he says it's almost like an uncomfortable companion that's always there.

The dispute with UA-cam was due to a problem with the beat. Ren paid for an unlimited license through Beat Stars from a producer named Kujobeats. Kujobeats used an unlicensed sample of the Bulgarian Choir who came after Sick Boi for using the sample (I am not sure if they came after Ren or Kujobeats). There was a lot of back and forth (Ren has a video called, 'Why Sick Boi is off all all streaming platforms') and off UA-cam. Sick Boi had been used as leverage by Kujobeats to force Ren to make concessions by issuing a copyright strike and taking the video off UA-cam. I was after Ren took the video off all platforms that the meeting with the CEO of UA-cam took place which allowed Sick Boi to return to UA-cam and you were able to react to it. If you ever get to react to Kujo Beat Down, please watch the 'Why Sick Boi is off...' video first for the full context.

@@michaeljeraloThis explanation kind of mixes up the UA-cam *video* and the *audio* in a lot of ways... but as long as you intend to watch Ren's video with the full explanation I won't bother much. The dispute was over the *song* though and Ren pulled the *audio* off all platforms, himself, to kneecap Kujo. It's still down to this day. Kujo claimed a copyright violation against the *video* and got it struck as leverage in the *song* negotiations. Ren talked with the CEO of UA-cam who agreed it was a false claim and reinstated the *video*.
@perfectkismet I'm gonna watch the explanation video and listen to the kujo song tomorrow, so look for it to be up the next day. I didn't think I'd be getting into some Ren beef lol.. I almost hate saying I liked the beat now lol Krayzie stuff
You will find a strong commitment to social consciousness in all of Ren's music. He believes that we should be practicing mediation between people instead if polarization, and fostering balance and homeostasis with the earth. He will always turn the mirror on ourselves to see how we contribute to the problem . Rather than "they" are doung such and such, "we" are allowing this to happen. To use your water bottle example, Walmart might be following the dictates of greed in their production policies, but we are buying the cases of water. By using refillable containers, we help undermine the greed. Our actions have an effect on the earth.

Honestly, the songs he picked are some of the less palatable death grips tracks. I wouldn’t even describe them as a hip hop group. Their style is just as much electro-industrial and hardcore punk as it is rap. Everyone has this reaction when they first hear death grips and that’s definitely intentional. Their music is supposed to create a sense of anxiety that their fans call being “noided.” You should check out I’ve Seen Footage, The Fever, and No Love (not the music video for No Love cause it’ll just confuse you more lol.)

I watch reaction videos. I would love to hear the UA-camr's POV. If this means pausing, even better. It's fun to watch how the YT initial view changed at the ending. Truly, I want to watch your reaction, thoughts of what you're watching. When I saw your Hi Ren video reaction, I wasn't planning to watch anymore After I watch your Jenny-Screetch... This is not a negative criticism. Just advice to give us what you're thinking. By the way, people will complain if you pause to comment vs those who wants you to do the opposite.

I looked and the ep I heard a track from was called "shadows on the sun" so I haven't heard any of the new EP.. I did see the cover art for it though and it looked awesome 👍 and no I've never met him, I photo shopped the thumbnail lol... Being in chronic pain is VERY isolating. Ren has made many of us feel seen, and heard, and understood. Ren is absolutely 100% authentically himself, always. He has actually just suffered a severe setback with his autoimmunity and the co infection Bartonella where he was put on some medications that left him bedridden once again and that impacted his mental health and triggered his ptsd. Unfortunately autoimmune conditions are rarely “cured” ; rather they’re treated and managed with the goals being remission and achieving the ability to live one’s life as fully as possible. Give your sister a big hug. Tell her that you love her. Show her Hi Ren. ❤
