Traffic here is nuts. Population signs say 27k. But in reality is closer to 50 or 60k. To say its quite only means in any particular neighborhood. But going on 71. Is comparable to dallas traffic.

Adding to the comments in this video, Bentonville also has a "First Friday" event each month, starting in April and running through October, on the first Friday of the month. I think Fayetteville has a "First Thursday" that is similar. At the time I am writing this, the remaining event for 2023 is October 6th and is "Octoberfest", sponsored by Werthers Originals. I have friends that come up from Little Rock for the lighting of the square and they also take in the Northern Lights at Crystal Bridges while they are here. This year it will be November 18th. You can walk or ride your bicycle from downtown to Crystal Bridges on the lighted & paved trails, or park at Crystal Bridges.

Live in Northern California which is very different from the cities people think of when they think of CA. More rural here. But the CA government is going to far. Want to move to a red state and Arkansas looks like it might be the place!

I just visited Bentonville for 5 days over Memorial Day weekend. I live in Phoenix. Regarding the driving, yes, the traffic was surprisingly heavy during rush hour for a city its size. Compared to Phoenix, I found the drivers in NWA to not be as fast and aggressive as here. However, I did notice that in NWA a lot of people don't use their turn signals. During my 5 days I only saw one panhandler in Bentonville, and could not detect any gang-banger element at all there. Unlike a large city such as Phoenix. I rented a mountain bike and having shade and cooler temperatures were very nice. Going out to some bars my impression was that it's a little more family oriented than here. Lots of people sitting at the tables with their families while the bar itself was pretty empty. Which is kind-of the opposite of what you get here. Overall I was very impressed with the area!

I live in Bentonville but where Bentonville, Rogers and Little Flock almost meet, but it doesn't take long to get around regardless of where you chose to live. If you are retired and like beautiful views, there are some great water view lots & homes in the eastern part of Rogers with views of Beaver Lake. If my job involved a lot of flying, I would certainly look at Centerton or the western part of Bentonville over Rogers. Example of how easy it is to get around: My Woods Creek neighborhood is on the eastern edge of Bentonville, and my favorite park for walking / biking is Coler Creek, a 13-minute drive away. If you can get to I49 fairly quickly, then almost anywhere is fairly close. I go to Razorback soccer & softball games a lot, and Fayetteville is 30 minutes away in normal traffic, 40-45 minutes if you are in rush hour traffic, and that is going from northeastern Bentonville to the south part of Fayetteville. I am 5 minutes away from Memorial Park, where the Bentonville Parks & Rec. soccer & baseball is played, along with their outdoor aquatic center. If you have children and are going to spend a lot of time at soccer / baseball / softball games, selecting a neighborhood nearby might be important to you. You have lots of choices. As far as the restaurant scene, parks, trails, shopping, it almost doesn't matter where you chose to live - all can be reached and enjoyed regardless of which city you chose to live in. I also use the trails in Rogers a lot. What does matter IMO is getting into and out of the neighborhood you have selected and onto the major east-west roads. As the video mentioned, New Hope Road in Rogers has a lot of the shopping in the area, so trying to turn left onto New Hope Road from a stop sign is tough certain times of the day. Same with trying to turn left on Walton (Bentonville) / Walnut (same street, but in Rogers), another busy street. But there are almost no bad choices for this area.
