$9 vs $36 specialty valve
Someone explain the "enriched" negativity to me, I'm still learning. So far I know to look at carbs and sugar, and that's what I was pointing out.
Bad video
Hey man, highly recommend checking out Dave’s killer bread. It is made from scratch and needs to be frozen due to its lack of preservatives but it is good. Enriched wheat flower is quite unhealthy compared to whole wheat or heirloom wheat bread.
Really? Tell me why! Why did it need to be enriched??

Harbor frieght has come a long way
Thanks for the advice
I happened upon a C MP5000 for free recently, but it had several broken plastic components in the right side door assembly. I really dug that machine, so I found a C MP3001 for $200 that had been very lightly used... only when I went to use the 3001 from my Mac, I found out all this fun stuff about PostScript being an option... one that was installed in the 5000, but not the 3001... and of course, the SD card wasn't compatible. I found a used one, but this guide was really helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful

I agree....what about the a actual finished item....waste of time🙁
I had the exact same issues with this Harbor Freight 48” Badland farm jack. I commend you for your rebuild of this product because I didn’t have the patience or time to do so. Took it back to Harbor Freight just hoping for at least in store credit. They only have a a 90 day warranty so the first time I needed to use it was after that. So I was out $100. I told them to keep it or give it away but I would not feel right even gifting this to a friend or family member.
You could have bought another, waited a few days, then return the defective one for a refund as the new one. Is doing so questionable? I value life and limb over fine print - they defect the bad one and they have my money for a purchased/kept one. Worth noting, it was after my 2nd defect in a row, when I opted to make repairs. My guess, with many others having no issue, that these (like other tools) are produced in batches, so they have runs that are flawed. Seems that when portable bandsaws go on sale, they are trying to liquidate flawed batches, never had issue with full price bandsaws. Thanks for the comment!
And yes, when I know a return is an outright defect, I put a small mark on it, and make sure they key it in as defect. I go back in a few days to make sure it's not in the clearance section. Not harbor freight, but I caught another brand store putting my returned defect on clearance - which I confronted that manager with. It's not worth someone getting hurt, regardless of cost.
Great idea to cut tabs - as long as the tolerances fit with the additional width of the new nickel strip.
Could be a good idea? Lot of talking and no actual showing of what is being done or a completed product so hard to know what you are aiming for. Thanks for sharing, ,but going to continue search for something that is more complete.

Bad air pressure switch. The switch which turns the air motor on and off
Nope
I wish to see sam comparison between noctua p12 and arctic p12. P12 and F12 are different purpose fans.
Mine does exact same thing! Thought it was heat sensor so I move it to the outside! It’s a POS compressor wish I didn’t buy.
nothing but a piece of junk, the only solution to it is a sledgehammer and dump the pieces in front of the store you bought it from, called it a lost for your peace of mind.
Didn't learn anything new. For me it's 11 minutes of my time. Give them back! 😀
I made it 2 minutes. TORTURE!
Having the same problem smh
Yep, mine did the same thing after a couple months. Defective. Depot should stop selling this POS
The winner IS Arctic
Why are you comparing an airflow fan to a static pressure one!?? They are clearly different fans. Also the comparison was "Pears to apples". Not apples to apples. *Stop spreading misinformation!!*
Why is Your noctua so loud???? I got 2 of them and they're dead silent 😱
Because he is controlling speed, exactly the way it is never supposed to be.
We’re both vales open, pull ring and drain tank, Ive had mine for years from home depo no problem, notice my pull ring getting a little corrosion but this is Florida.
Solved. Open and clean the unload valve and spring. If not start or run at all change the start and run capacitor (90% of the time) Thanks
Unfortunately those solutions did not work for me, new caps and checkvalve, still same issue. Its a bad checkvalve design.
So what check valves did you guys went to
oh.. great video. Wish those two worked together and created the outstanding product with both quality of noctua and silent design of arctic.
I believe that Arctic F12 should be compared with Noctua Redux NF-1300 because to the rotation being equivalent and Redux NP-1700 with Arctic P12 that can reach 2000 rpm. Another considerable point is the question of the letters "P" (pressure) and "F" (flow). Generally fans with pressure (serie P) are more suitable for radiators and air coolers while flow (serie F) for air circulation in the case. Anyway, both radiators and air coolers have fins and with that there is an "obstruction" of the air passage, so needs a fan that generates greater pressure. In the case of a PC case there is not "obstruction", at this point a fan with better airflow is recommended. Of course, that doesn't mean a "P" and "F" series won't work in either case. It may be that the efficiency isn't as desired. In short, both Noctua, Arctic and Be Quiet! produces the best fans on the market in terms of performance. Remembering that today we have 2 audiences: those who prefer performance and those who prefer aesthetics. I'm sorry for my English. Hugs from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.
PQP deitou na resposta carioca!!!! Mandou bem demais pqp!
I bought mine from Home Depot yesterday, used it for an hour and then had this problem. I’m taking it back right now, thanks for this video 🙏🏽
I'm in the process of cleaning about 600 cells, And I have also decided not to remove the nicklel strips, No matter how good your cutters are you cannot get them completely clean without grinding on them and the contact points are much flatter Leaving the nickel strips attached. I don't think that doubling up on the cap insulator is a good idea.
Only harvested like around 20 and also stopped doing that. Though you can use a dremel with a stone tool but that removes the anti rust coating and leaves nickel dust in the battery which could probably be dangerous.
Mine starts then slows down and stops, any ideas why?
listening with a good pair of earphone we can really hear the difference! thank you!
Perhaps a stupid question. But I am using an Artic f14 tc (with temp cable) and to keep my amplifier nice and cool. I am hooking it up to a 12v 2A and adapter. But when I connect green to red and black to black, nothing happens.(it just moves for a little bit) What am I doing wrong
I bought a 8 gallon Mcgraw which is exact same design with same parts. Only difference is it is a bit expensive,($30 more) a bit heavier but specs says 1.5hp though it fills tank within 2:15 secs compared to husky that need 2:25 secs and gusky says it is 1.8hp not sure which one is a lie. Harbor freight have a 20% restock fee so am not going to return it. But I agree the design is bad and many home improvement stores sell it under different brands. That check valve also sends air when compressor motor is pushing air. Seems inefficient. I saw your video as well as other reviews and returned husky but seems my $30 more dollars are not that useful after all. I like home depot because they never ask for restocking fee.
No good at all you have it on the table pushing down lol so they are going to be more noisy, you need to test them suspended in the air not touching anything
Too bad the artics are only 3 pin fans guess I’ll go with the noctua redux I want a 4 pin fan I’m replacing OEM 4 pin fans in a prebuilt and I don’t want any issues I already have a noctua nf 12x25 on my 120mm aio I think these redux will be fine for the other three case fans there almost as good as the 12x25 Dell OEM 120 mm fans even though rated at over 126cfm minimum they suck balls my thermals were crazy before and everyone was telling me not to change that particular fan cause I would lose my RGB man, I don’t give a flying F about RGB last PC I built was all IDE cables no Sata yet SSD’s were years away I still have it I wish it had more ram support and a Sata connection to make a server out of it but I can’t even put an SSD in it and finding DDR2 ram now days is gonna be tough plus the board max’s at 2gb lol which ain’t crap, so ya I don’t care about RGB only performance I’ve seen kids who actually think RGB will give them higher FPS, RGB lighting gets hot up to around 160-200 degrees F. depending on what color your using dark blue is one of the coolest color temp wise white is hottest of all before I replaced my rad fan I simply unplugged the RGB and I ran about 6C cooler Dell also uses toothpaste as thermal paste *( I saw a video where they used Crest and it performed better than the paste my system came with I couldn’t use it without it trying to throttle when I first got it 1min 30 into a multi core cenibench R23 run I was at 87C needless to say I stopped immediately even though that’s not too high I don’t wanna stress my parts more than needed, i tried to game for about 20 minutes it was hitting mid 80’s at 13% CPU usage so I waited a few days )* had to wait on my kingpin Kpx to come in now my thermals are really good should be better once I get the three redux case fans hoping to idle under 30C which is what I idle at now
after nearly 2 months of phone tag, I had finally talked to "husky repair center". their over the phone diagnosis was the same as what I had dug up myself. The check valve going in to the tank at the end of the hose is a bad design. they sent me a new check valve which did the same thing. the check valve has a nylon puck shaped plug and a VERY weak spring. so sometimes the puck doesn't reseat and gets left partially open, putting back pressure on the piston head - preventing it from restarting. the piston needs the distance of the hose to be not under pressure so that the motor can spin up. This air compressor design lacks an unloader valve, which would allow pressure off the piston head and actually assist the check valve puck in reseating. my fix has been to stretch the weak spring so that it puts more pressure on the puck, which improves the situation temporarily. A real fix would be to replace the puck with a ball and use a stronger spring - in the check valve. Again the new check valve from "husky" was not an improvement. a good compressor with a stripped down design - made bad by cheaping out on the check valve.
Yep, one can add a better valve and may need to change/adapt fittings etc to do it. Its all basic plumbing fittings.
Aww hell. Thanks
John, I watched the video of how your compressor was working, and that is exactly what mine is doing. I assumed from my readings that the problem must be with the release valve on the head of the compressor, so I went out this morning thinking ,great, I will play with the relaeas valve , clean it and see what happens. Now the problem I discovered was that my compressor being vintage 2021 does not have a release valve. I do have an older Husky, just like this new one that I picked up for parts, but it does have a release valve at the top of the head. So, I was just wondering if you have heard of any other trouble shooting ideas. I did swap out the start and run capacitors from the old to the new, but it continued to run like yours.
Thanks for sharing. This is so frustrating and trying to search this issue was leading me all over. Hope to find some info on the check valve swap!
Dude, wtf? I’m having the same problem and I’m pretty sure It’s the part that’s screwed under the motor itself that looks like it’s screwed into the tank, where the power cord connects into. I have no knowledge on the subject but to me it’s pretty common sense. Power comes into a sensor in the tank that sends power up to the compressor and tells it when it’s full. I came on here TO SEE HOW TO TAKE THE DAMN THING APPART but I feel just as confused as when I started…. I have an old compressor, same model that has a busted tank so I’m swapping the motors, well trying to… I’m pretty handy (I’ve built a 460hp at the wheels Lancer Evo and completely remodeled a couple of houses kind of handy) but for the life of me I can’t get it to unscrew 😩😩 😂😂
see my new pinned comment. it's not the pressure switch, as the motor is sent full power when bound.
One is pressure optimized (the Noctua) and the other is flow optimized. You should have compared the Noctua to the Artic P12. Anyway, I've bought two P12s to replace the original Thermaltake from my case, and the additional older Artic Cooling (not sure if it is the same company) that was making noise. Now, my PC is very silent. Another piece of advice, instead of controlling the voltage (it is a very crude method of controlling fan speed, and it is not even recommended for most fans), control the PWM.
From everyone's comments, thank you very much, I did not know or pay attention to the letters F & P about flow and pressure, and with the others I learned about what PWM is, thank you very much to all =)
I wanna see an artic sp fan tested against the noctua…..of course
I just bought this thing only to find this out.
see my new pinned comment.
That was a very informative presentation, Mr. Williamson. Oh indeed, these Noctua fans are loud. I purchased two and installed them side by side on the side panel of my CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced case. I was having concerns with my GPU running warm (79C) under load (stock). These two fans are now blowing ambient air directly underneath it. The max temperature dropped to 66C. I can't regulate the RPM because they're plugged into a molex - permanent full throttle. It is a sacrifice but I breath easier with a cooler video card. I know, in time, I will replace them with more expensive/quieter fans.
Exactly my experience as well. Will be returning to store and try another brand,
That definitely looks like a good solid repair
Ah yes, artic and noctua redu
being an F12 user since 2011 (& still running it today), I can say that fluid bearing dynamic F12 is very reliable...
Seriously? Since 2011? Wow)
@@sined1902 yes I am. I have it uploaded on my facebook tho. All my rig progress & upgrades since 2011
@@ulyssessait Thanks for the answer! Considering what you say, I'm afraid to imagine how long fans with an updated type of motor (pwm), and even more so with ball bearings (CO), will work.
@Stein Mauer I have a computer, it just works 24/7, I don’t turn it off very often) I live in a rural area far from infrastructure. Noise is generally low and electricity is cheap. They do not outperform much from conventional hydrodynamic fans. All fans are from Arctic. There are differences up close. But under the table and under the partial soundproofing of the computer case and low revs, there is almost no difference. In the conditions of urban background noise, and it is possible not to hear it)) For the most part, I chose it for maintainability (replaced the bearing and continue to use it). I use google translate, sorry for the inaccuracies.
@Stein Mauer There was a discount in the store, I decided to take it for the sake of interest.
