Feral cats are the result of people dumping domestic cats that they don’t want. We have one that comes around most nights to visit our cats and to eat, it’s too frightened to let anyone close. People that don’t want their cats need to find them owners or hand in to an animal shelter.

It's Spring. The weather goes crazy. Yesterday 16/11 (or 11/16 for USA) was hot and 93F. By midnight it was 77F. At 2am a hot wind blew in and was back up to 86F till 4am. It was warm later in the morning but then cooled down and by 1pm it was chilly, windy & wet and 55F. Later the sun came out and it turned back into a nice calm 66F afternoon. Cranky tug of war type weather.

I think I have seen one of her videos before and found it not quite correct. She is speaking like this is for all of Australia but actually most of these rules are for NSW only. 1. L and P plate systems are different for every state. In Victoria they drive the speed limit on L's and P-plates. If under 21 you are required to do 120 hours of driving on your L's before you go for your license. One thing she missed was Australia actually has mandatory retesting for international drivers. You can drive 1 year on an international driver then must swap over. This is good to see if international people get our road rules. 2. All states have the same road rules. But every state licensing, testing and L and P plate systems are different per state. This is the second video I have seen of hers that is not completely correct. She is definitely not doing extra research and as you pointed out she cannot spell. 3. Australian's abbreviate a lot of words.... Though never heard of Sticks for stickers 4. Finally the motorbike thin, never heard that term. Motorbikes often drive along the white line between the lanes to move to the front of the cue while cars are stopped at traffic lights. I thought though this was illegal in Australia. Some people have imported Chevrolet into Australia. Some also have right hand drive cars in Australia cause they import their car here. I think the brands though are more to do with Right hand vs left hand. Australia had two major car brands, Holden and Ford. Holden closed down in 2020 and no longer supplies to Australia.

Back in the 80s, we visited my brother in laws aunt and uncle. They lived near Port Headland, WA. They had 2 cats, and the story was they found them as kittens in the bush. So, feral kittens, brought up as domestic. And they were huge, at least twice the size of a standard big Tom. Otherwise normal, very friendly, but I found myself patting them like I would a dog.

My favourite way to eat Vegemite is on buttered toast with a slice of cheese on top, it's perfect when the cheese is slightly melted and limp. Yum yum.

For the most part the roads that speed limit is around 90km there would be a left lane for overtaking, you wouldn't get stuck behind a slow driver in that case.

I was once climbing a small mountain range with a team near mount Werong in the national parks of Australia and we saw a huge black cat running down the side of the small mountain in front of us! Must have been at least two feet in height and very heavy set, a wild non native cat no doubt at all.

Id like to reinforce the argument that americas wildlife is much more dangerous WITHOUT making some whiney analogy about guns. That has nothing to do with this topic. USA has everything deadly that we have: A couple of venoumous snakes you might encounter, couple of similarly dangerous insects. Alligators and sharks in certain water. Venoumous marine life. Large herbivores that trample Etc... Very similar amounts of dangerous wildlife you may encounter... Except for one category, Land predators: America has three apex predators that can and will chase a human down and eat them... Bears, mointain lions, wolves. Australia has... Dingos? Dont think of a dingo like a wolf. They are a wild dog, scavengers for the most part and extremely rare yo come into contact with humans in the places that still have uealthy populations. In other words... If you stay away from water edges that may contain crocs... Theres no wild animal in australia that is going to actively hunt you.

I am a 72 year old Australian. I live in Newcastle which is the best city in New South Wales. At the end of my street is Blackbutt Reserve. I have seen snakes in the reserve but I haven't seen one in my yard in over 60 years. As for spiders, the worst I have ever seen is a red back from time to time. If their location is inconvenient I turn them into a damp spot. Australia has a major advantage over the U S. We don't have people running around with guns. Australia is a wonderful place.
