I Finally Got One! Hunting Brown Trout
Great vid, can I ask what make of boat you have and length?
Hey mate I believe it's a 5m Trailcraft Freestyle. Its Dylan's new boat. He has a video on his channel talking through some of the features!
@@WestWaterAdventures Cheers thanks for the info 👍
Epic !! I just relived dropping my rod again 😮
what did you catch the mulloway on
Was likely a herring fillet
Nice! What time of year did you go?
Hey mate, usually up around May-June
i got one myself they are great
That Mandurah?
Leschenault Inlet in Australind
@@WestWaterAdventures thank you
Oil vid. What time of year was that?
Where did you launch your yak mate? I went this morning launching at Eaton area but unfortunately no catch but i did enjoy paddling and enjoy the view.
Yep, sometimes catching something is just a bonus! This video was by the elbow. (near the boat ramp) Bream should be hitting hard-body lures pretty aggressively at this time of the year. I might dust off the yak again soon.
Hey mate how you think of the rod?I am gonna to pair it up with a Stradic 2500 with 10lb j-braid grand,is this rod sensitive enough to feel tiny nobles on your plastic and hardbody?
i have it and its definitely sensitive enough to throw 1/8 jigheads and smaller stickbaits etc
How deep? And how were you working the plastics? And how heavy were the jigheads?
Hey mate I assume the incoming tide is the best bet for whiting? Im new to all of these species and am pretty clueless but am planning on heading south of perth to try nail a few
Incoming tide is great if it's paired with hot weather and shallow flats areas as they'll be moving in with the tide to feed on worms etc. Hope ya have some luck!
@@WestWaterAdventures Cheers, went down to Mandurah and only managed to get into a few small ones on topwater (sub 20cm). Keen to try again it is pretty fun! I noticed I had thousands of follows and very few actual takes though, not sure if the lure was too big or if I just suck at working small stickbaits
Yeah those whiting chew up on the zx
What LB leader are you using in this video ?
Hey mate, sorry missed this comment. Usually using 8lb. 6 can be annoying if there are small tailor around. Cool aquariums btw!
@@WestWaterAdventures no worries...thnx m8
Underated video mate
Absolutely stunning. Thank you for this vid fellas
Killer vid mate nice fish 🤙🤙
Beautiful spot rainbow trout doing well in that stream great to see. Nice job guys
ive caught a 62 blackie and an 18 kg gold spotted rock cod just outside dirk hart hog and my sister caughta 70 blackie
Nice video, what is your most effective lure for whiting?
I like waiting for really hot days and targeting them on the surface with a Sugarpen. I'll try get some footage using different lures this season
U spud if your drag was looser u would’ve had a chance of landing that
Is that on a new 2021 twin power?
I wish!
Nice work lads! Looks like an incredible spot to fish! Did you guys get out to steep on just a day trip from Denham?
Nice video. Did you use a mono or fluoro leader?
Thanks mate! Was using 20lb flouro in this video
I think the 55cm “blackie” was actually a red throat
We weren't 100% sure hey! Usually the blue-lined emperors we catch don't have that vibrant red throat but then the red throat emperors usually have a longer face and red fins so its a bit odd
Definitely a black snapper not a red throat. Certainly a good size one, have caught similar and some into the 60’s in the Pilbara. Great content 👍
I died a little on the inside when I dropped that fish
if it fits in the net it isnt a good mulloway. we caught 2 1.3 metre mulloway in our 3.7 tinnie
Very nice! You're not wrong. Today's new vid has a good one!
Wow! what a stunning location! if it's not your secret spot, where is this river?
Hi mate, this is in Pemberton
That little snapper was probably really confused. Great video
Amazing vid
nice video lovr from israel
Achi greetings from Germany 🤙
Good vid but if you catch a northwest blowie you gotta kill the dogs
what go pro you use for your videos?
Hey mate, I'm using a Hero 7 Silver and a Hero 7 Black
@@WestWaterAdventures nice i just bought a go pro hero 9. what you use to edit?
@@baileystephenss Adobe Premiere but I'm planning to switch to Davinci Resolve - much cheaper
Sausage bait 😁😁😁😁
Pretty fucked How you release your fish
sick vid mate
Killer video guys. Keep at it :)
Thanks for the great video. I’ve used those vibes here on the Gold Coast chasing flathead, and in the dams after bass. Might have to take my travel rod next time I’m visiting family in the west. Can I ask what’s the town or suburb you’re near?
Sounds like good fun! This is in the Leschenault Inlet near Pelican Point
love to see it bud, absolutely love tackling biiigg big fish on light tackle. honestly is my go to style of fishing
Do U rate that deepstriker
Yep I like the medium light action. Feels light enough for bream but also solid enough to take along when targeting bigger species like Mulloway and it casts well. Just a shame that I recently broke the tip in my car :(
@@WestWaterAdventures what is the heaviest it's caught?
@@cober155 you can see it catching a decent Dhufish on an old video "big hookup on the light setup"
If only more people did that with the frames etc. Bloody delicious meat all around the bones.
Big Brook bro 👍
Nice!
Maaaate so much cray! yewwww!
Nice to hear the bubbles and breathing rather than random music...nice crays
What size reel was the light one
Hey mate, it's a 3000 with 10lb braid
Nicely put together Jake.
That was a really cool series. Just got a camper trailer with a 14ft tinny. cant wait to check out shark bay.
Good stuff mate, enjoyed the videos, iam heading up there in a couple weeks, we’re camping at shelter bay. Were use fishing in between dirk hartog and shelter bay or out in the open water?
Nice! We were out in the open, didn't need to go far out to find fish
Hi bud. How long did it take to get from Dehnam to Steep Point?
Just over an hour from memory with the good conditions
Awesome!
