How to get rid of that annoying beep on a Bio Bidet BB500 Toilet Seat
This is a great bidet seat, but it beeps every time you sit on it, which is super annoying. Sadly there is no way to disable the beep, so I went ahead and manually fixed it. Just rip off the chirper on the circuit board (carefully) and all is good.

Expo Comparison at the Balboa Experiment 2014
Переглядів 2439 років тому
During the 2014 Balboa Experiment, I coincidentally danced to the exact same song during both of the expo evenings (two days apart). Even more strange, the follows I danced with both wore green dresses! The result made for an interesting comparison of progress after just two days at the Experiment. Can you tell which came after which? Thanks to Mackenzie Miller and Ulla Wingenfelder for the lov...

"MAOpy" stands for Monotonicity Analysis and Optimization in Python. MAOpy was written by John Paul Helveston as a final semester project for the course 15-112: Fundamentals of Programming and Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. MAOpy conducts monotonicity analysis on an optimization problem. This is essentially a method for identifying active constraints before running any numerica...

One of the most unique lindy events in the world, Great Wall Swing Out is Swing Beijing's annual international lindy hop event. As a culminating event for the weekend, all the dancers hop on a bus and head to the Great Wall on the outskirts of Beijing. We spent the whole afternoon dancing outdoors while tourists from all over the world stopped to take a photo and wonder what the heck we were al...

During the Shanghai 2010 World Expo, I joined the Shanghai swing dancers in several performances. Since we were official performers, we were all given a week-long pass into the Expo, which also got us VIP status so we didn't have to cue up to get into any of the pavilions. We decided we'd dance crash as many as we could, and in this video we crashed the Argentina Pavilion. Eventually so many pe...

Hot Club de Formosa - Exactly Like You
For those coming here to figure out how to disable the annoying beep on a BB500, ignore everything in this video. There are 3 settings for the beeps: one beep, two quick beeps, and no beep. Press and hold the seat temp button for several seconds until it beeps. This will switch the setting to two quick beeps. Press and hold the seat temp button again for several seconds until it beeps again. I suggest sitting on the toilet when you do this to test which setting it’s on. Cycle through them until you get to the no beep setting.
@@David-ug3jy this video is for anyone that doesn't work for. I tried this a hundred times on mine and it never worked. Maybe mine was a defect - sure hope that works on yours! If not, this works too
@@jhelvy Then your BB500 is defective and should have been returned. This works if your BB500 is defective and you either don’t want to return it or can’t.
Did you try just turning off the beep by holding down the toilet seat temp button?
Doesn't work. Tried so many times. Lots of people say this works but it doesn't on my model.
@@jhelvy I know this video is for the BB-500, and I have the BB-550, but this is what came up when I was trying to search online about how to silence it. I tried holding down the toilet seat temp button on mine, and while it didn't silence all beeps, it silenced the automatic beeps that happened when the seat starts or stops detecting that you are sitting down, which were the most annoying ones. But it still beeps when you adjust settings on it. Maybe that's how the BB-500 works as well, and the reason for the disconnect between the comments and what you were seeing?
@@brismuth that's probably what people are saying. I'm sure that's how it is supposed to work, it's be an extremely logical design. Sadly mine would always beep no matter what. Trust me, I spent far too much time trouble shooting this, and I would love to have not disassembled my seat, but literally nothing else worked. Perhaps mine was defective but I've seen enough other complaints that I don't think it's the case.
the beeping can be turned off by pressing and holding the seat temperature button for 2 seconds
Exactly, no need to disconnect anything
Doesn't work. Tried so many times. Lots of people say this works but it doesn't on my model.
@@jhelvyI have the BB500 and pressing and holding the seat temp button works for me.
@@David-ug3jy wish this worked for me, but it didn't. Tried every combination of holding the button, never worked. This was the last resort
Thank you. As a grandparent I was tasked to taking it back to my daughter's and I was baffled by the arrows and I knew the stars and moon must have some meaning. I found your video and Voilà!!
That is so AWESOME! My wife and I have been struggling with this so often. You made it easy Peary and we now have a lot more space!!!Thanks so much!!!

do you sell this product fully assembled?
Sorry, no, but you might be able to find someone on Reddit selling one pre built. Look on r/mechmarket. There are also lots of other similar split boards, and some are available pre built, like the Kyria. You can see and compare them on my app here: jhelvy.shinyapps.io/splitkbcompare/
Hey! I like the size of the keycaps on your thumb keys. Are those 1.25 or 1.5u's?

I am trying to calculate elasticity values from the logit report. Would you say that dividing the percentage change of the beta by the percentage change of the level can be applied to obtain elasticity values?
+Martha Yes but the units wouldn't be very useful. You'd end up with "x" units of utility in exchange for "y" units of an attribute. Since utility only has relative value and no absolute value, a more interpretable metric might be to compute the "willingness-to-pay" (WTP) and use that as your elasticity. You get that by dividing the beta coefficient for the attribute by the negative of the price coefficient. Essentially you're using the price coefficient to convert between changes in utility to changes in dollars. Then you'll have what you want - "x" units of dollars in exchange for "y" units of an attribute (which is your price elasticity).
+jhelvy Aha I am with it. However my research is on rail transportation and an example of what I am after is how utility is impacted by say a change in service frequency. Would you say my outlined method is then more appropriate?
+Martha I'd still use WTP to make your comparisons. Again, utility is an abstract concept of value that only has relative meaning, whereas WTP has concrete interpretation (units of currency). So you could simply present results as the dollar value for a certain change in service frequency. Readers can understand that immediately and also compare it to other alternatives that exist, such as the cost of renting a vehicle or taking a bus. It gives interpretation and context.
You don't need to create a constructed list to get an answer from previous question. You could just typed [%Label(vehicletype)%] and it will get the selected answer from that question and print it on.
Question - Can you post a tutorial on how to calculate WTP using ST....I didn't quite follow your video...but I am far from a stats whiz. How would it work if you had two cost variables?
Trisha Crutchfield Start watching at 31:50 and I explain it briefly. You first need to estimate a linear model for the price coefficient. Then you can divide all your coefficients by the negative of the price coefficient to get WTP. If you want to include error (which you should), you can take multivariate normal draws from the mean vector of beta coefficients and variance-covariance matrix given by Sawtooth, divide each set of draws by the price coefficient in those draws, and then you'll end up with a distribution of WTP estimates for each coefficient. You can read off statistics from those distributions (mean, confidence interval, etc.).
The demo version allows only 3 attributes. Is it the same with the full version you are using? In my student project, I need at least 6 attributes. The online version can have mor than 3 attributes but it does not has "conditional relationships" which is important to make reasonable prices.
Dung Vu The full versions have different limitations depending on what license you purchase. In this demo I'm using an academic license, but there are loads of options on www.sawtoothsoftware.com/products/pricing-ordering
I really need this software for my (student) research. Is there any way how to get a free trail that can record enough respondents? Any suggestion is welcome! Thanks!
Samy De Santis I don't know of a free trial for the full software, but Sawtooth does have an online version that is much simpler and free (I think): discover.sawtoothsoftware.com
