You left 4 mechanical parts at the 2nd trader. Also check the towers at the traders, they sometimes have guns. Btw, I'm 63, and an Anno-player and Factorio-player 😎
I forgot about leaving parts at that trader I will just try to use a wrench to scrap cars though seems easier

for a base i recommend just finding a field and set up a small base for things like crafting, smelting, cooking, mining, and storage, then set up a place to stay for when day 7 comes around
