Hiii can you also do a variation of both ankles bend and stretch? Or because of the front leg it wouldn’t work?
Isn’t it better when both feet against the shoulder supporters?
@@user-lr7ii9oq2k I wouldn’t say either variation is necessarily better. If you have a client who is already successfully doing side planks then yes, they can have both feet pressed against the shoulder blocks because it is more challenging. The variation with the front leg bent is much more friendly for beginners and intermediate clients.

Discovered your channel through my massage therapist (who is an avid Pilates girl!). Question: the all fours position hurts my wrists. Do you have any suggestions to reduce the pain while getting the benefit of the stretching?
Absolutely! If you roll up your mat a bit and put your heels of your hands on the high part, that helps to extend the wrist to a more neutral position. You can try using fists if you can do that comfortably or if you have weights (5 or more pounds), you can put the weights on the ground and hold those to align your wrist neutral. Let me know if those options don't help!

what does this help with in the long term?
The exercises have different benefits: -inner thigh and calf strengthening -opening chest and strengthening backs of arms -supporting neck while working abs -strengthening glutes and outer hips
Overall, they build strength throughout the body and improve posture and aligment!
