Back on the Gettin Bendy 8.23.2024. Cobia fishing.
This time it's just me, Joey, and Kayden (mate in training). And again its cloudy and choppy- tough sight fishing conditions. But persistence pays off and we put a couple Cobia on the deck.

We went to the Eastern shore hunting Cobia with Gettin Bendy Charters. Then tried for Sheepshead and Flounder on the reef. The clouds followed us all day and made sight fishing difficult. Happy to be out with a good bunch of guys. Better luck next time.

    Subscribed! Love your Smitty ideas!Can you address the size of your sled, and the size skis that are appropriate for that size Sled? is there a rule of thumb to follow regarding size of sled and size of skis? I have a Shapell jet sled : 54“L x 25“W x 10“ deep. The skis I bought are 67” long downhill skis. I am worried they might be too short ?

      I have the same size jet sled and the skis are 180s which are about 71". I don't think a couple inches will make a difference. Might even be more maneuverable with shorter skis.

    Thoughts on your outside table. You are thinking OUT..have you thought about setting in ( like a medicine cabinet that sets between studs in a house) your fold out table. Then what if..you make your table with a piano hinge to entend once out and hold adjustable legs instead of just one big piece of wood ?...Just saying, cutting a section out of your cabinet, and going in 2" or so yes, would deplete some of your storage space inside that end cabinet, but that is where you decide which space is most valuable to you to serve your needs: an outside cooking table or storage inside the cabinet ? I noticed you didn't have any visible stops on your drawers next to the refrig. Have you considered simply drilling a hole in the end cabinet cover and into the drawer and sticking dole pins in to hold the drawers shut while going down the road ? Thank you for sharing your fishing cabin on wheels.

    • @marksadventureclub2121
      @marksadventureclub2121 Рік тому

      You packed a lot into your comment. The cabinet you refer to has no space to give up. There is a 6 gal. jug that is my gray water tank just behind the outer wall. I've considered some sort of folding table but haven't worked it out yet. I'm not satisfied with the fold up idea, so it may change. I've also considered a stand alone folding table, which would be more adaptable because I could put it anywhere. I would have to find a storage location for it. As to stops on the drawers; they are the soft close type which tend to stay closed, but I have found that with heavy items inside the drawer might open when turning the van. I have used a small rotating stopper on the other cabinets: please see previous videos if you want to know more. Thank you for your comments and I hope you keep viewing.
