Good game against a good player, a stratego coach who I have not played in a while. I am not all that happy with the way I played but I think I overstated the horrendousness of those two blunders towards the end of the game. Rest of the game was good in regards to memory and piece identification. So I think we both can feel happy about this one. Anyways, thanks for watching, here is the link to...

An unfortunate end, however I am very happy with the way I played besides the mistake which probably did not make a difference. The game was ultimately decided by four straight lucky guesses at the end. Thanks to you all so much for watching and I will see you soon!

    Excellent commentary, Winner. Despite me losing this game, you gave me exactly what I wanted which was great in game analysis to help newer players understand how to play this game from a higher level perspective. I will explain my thought process with some of the moves I made especially with the 2nd colonel you found with captain. The reason I didn’t take your captain immediately with my colonel was because my general was behind colonel, I wanted to move my general out of the way in case the piece parked at B4 was a scout, which it turned out it was. I then got risky with that colonel because i honestly didn’t believe you had your Marshall on the 2nd row. In my past experiences with you, you conceal Marshall info extremely well and because of that you usually have it on the 3rd row, so I was banking that it was on 3rd row especially because your general started in the 2nd row. I know that is a huge assumption I made because every game is its own entity but I was playing by feel and I had to do something with that colonel especially when you knew a good deal of big info on my end. I had to be aggressive because you would have picked me apart easily if I was too passive. Plus, to beat a superior player, I can’t play your style, I have to be willing to take risks to have a chance against you lol. So that was a lot of my thought process with the moves I made. What really did me in and you are right my focus and memory really failed me after you took my lieutenant at J10 with your unknown major. This was the worst move I made in the game IMO because I knew at the time this was happening that this piece was not your Marshall because you wouldn’t take a lieutenant with Marshall especially when unknowns were surrounding it. That piece could only be a major and I was annoyed at the time when that happened because it really changed the trajectory of the game itself. I also blame playing ranked matches late at night as an issue for me because I am such an early starter that my tired brain just couldn’t handle a long game, which it turned into lol. Regardless, it is always fun playing you. I hope this game preps you well for the upcoming tournament. Best of luck to you!

      Thanks for the commentary, while I never felt like you were on the verge of winning it would have been a lot tougher without that lieutenant because that represented the last non high piece that could take out a miner or sergeant meaning that my small piece advantage would overcome you pretty quickly even if you did cheaply find my marshal.

    I can't disagree that you played poorly from the early game to the mid game, it was pretty ugly (if you had played slower, I'm sure you would have made the best plays), but the game was fun to watch, because from the mid to the late game you handled the position well and solidified the position, I learned a lot from this match.

  • @feuerfaustace2628

    Maybe you should haven't moved your Lieutenant at 3:00 back. Better stay there or go up, that he can't scout your Seargent and because of that don't goes for your Major with his General.

    • @strategowinner9380
      @strategowinner9380 29 днів тому

      I don't really feel like that move led him to attack the major, based on his taking of the scout I figured the entire time that his entire idea was to go right ahead and take the major. I effectively had written the major off as lost at that point, I moved the liet back just to preserve the piece, and I did not consider the serg to be a particularly believable marshal so I was not all that worried about him scouting it.

    • @strategowinner9380
      @strategowinner9380 29 днів тому

      Yes, it was very impressive how well he did with it even though he did not do this against top players, it is a shame I can't go on an alt and play A rate incognito with this setup. Though one problem with that would be the fact that the player pool is so small at A rate.

    hi bro , could you play with masteroftheflag bot site several times and stream the plays? the bot is semi powerful and doubt your games will be awesome . I have been seeking pc bots , java probe is another most defensive one . Probe 40megabyte version doesnt exist to download and try , 12 years ago was ! but not now . The General is another that must pay for , but Trial has good performance with Patrik bot ! I think .These days I'm badly seeking Deepnash bot or Alphazero similar level one but I failed . I don't know how some guys has access to it , anyway thanks for your videos and I had this experience about chess playing & streaming , that was banned in Liches site 3 years ago and finally was forced to try another similar username . Their reason was because of revealing their strategy and something else one . chao
