    Had mine now for 5 years now, and in the summer it all I drive. People are constantly amazed by the amount of room in the trunk, especially when I get groceries. Great highway bike, the only thing I wish was that it had and extra 10-15 Hp. My last bike was a V-65 Saber with a 121Hp going to a bike with less than 1/2 the Hp has been challenging. All in all I love the bike.

      Heya, so your gpu is faster than the 6600 in this video and your CPU is pretty solid too. You can expect performance that is equal or better than what I showed here. Quest 2 would be totally fine to use, you can handle the extra resolution.

      @@GinnyVT yeah, to be clear you can definitely play VR. Quest 2 experience would be solid, quest 3 may be a little more choppy, but still playable due to extra resolution. I’d just get a quest 2, they’re a great deal now anyways

      @@n.o.b.s.8458 my early days gaming i played 7-15 fps. have my 6600 xt connected to my 4khdr10+ 75" tv because no room for tv and dedicated computer desk. so 30fps and more is so sweet. but due to the vr world and being near sighted and planning to buy prescription vr lenses, the quest 2 seams like not a bad idea. also being paralyzed my vr will be limited option i know. but want to try things like beat saber, vr chat, and vr in my American truck simulator game. have debated on pre-owned setups, buy knowing how much vr can makes people can sweat, makes me wonder if saving long time for a nib unopened set might be best.

      Honestly, the handling on these cars is not great. I'm not trying to put anyone down by saying that, I think they're cool cars that are built well and typically are super reliable. I had great tires on mine, and I've owned and driven a lot of other cars handle way better. If you get a chance to drive a GTI, mini cooper S, Miata, fiesta ST, civic SI or even a mazda3 I think you'd be pretty surprised how much more planted and stable those cars are. That said, the TC is an incredibly practical car with a pretty good stereo system and nice looks, not to mention the very "ahead of it's time" panoramic roof.

I fixed all the issues, but nothing I can do about the weight, I got it with many issues due to previous owners, none of which were the bikes fault, but since sorting all of that its been super reliable. 1:12 "The kick stand sucks". I've heard that BMW may have deliberately made it awkward to use so that the bike is parked on the centre stand more often than not. The engine layout is susceptible to oil accumulating in the "top" of the motor if the bike is parked leaning to the left - check for a cloud of smoke on startup after leaving the bike parked on the side stand.

    I disagree regarding S15 usage for surround or atmos duty. I have these setup for my surrounds and front atmos and the experience is just insane. Since these are matched to my front stage of S60 and S30 the transition of sounds in the soundstage is very natural. You also get the occasional gunshots in surround and having a thin sounding speaker just ruins your experience especially if you have beefy front stage. Intense scenes with transitions like helicopter or gunfight will sound wonky if you go with small surrounds. Besides with this you can keep the crossover and 80 for all speakers and this is always great, coz if you get small speakers and have to up the crossover for those speakers to 120hz for example that just ruins the bass quality and coherence.

    • @n.o.b.s.8458
      @n.o.b.s.8458 4 місяці тому

      I don't disagree either! I've learned a LOT more since making some of these older reviews. Good surrounds do make a difference, though there is some debate about tonality since you're so far off-axis from surrounds most of the time. Your points about bass and crossing over to the sub are completely valid. What I do still agree with is that these absolutely hold up as the main L/R speakers in a system, they don't need to just be surrounds.

    Yup I agree 100%. Most times you can build a little 2.1 or 3.1 setup for much cheaper than many soundbar systems and it sounds a lot better. I mean it's not that hard to connect up three speakers and a sub, and plug your stuff into the HDMI ports and into your TV. Pretty simple actually. I ended up getting a Sony receiver for like $249 and had some speakers that were handme downs from my dad and a sub. Sounds really nice with Blu-rays, can get way louder than my soundbar could.

The SV1000 I have now could do it, but I'm not sure my body would cope. I'm looking at the full faired tourer. There seems to be a few with about 180,000kms on them for about $5000AUD. I believe that these kinds of km under the belt are not high for the engine, but if anyone has some clues about what gremlins to look out for, I'd most appreciate hearing from other riders. I have had 108 motorcycles so far. I’ve had two of these Pacific coast motorcycles. My first one was totaled with me on it while I was sitting at a stop sign waiting my turn on my morning commute to work. That was a 1990 Pacific coast. my second Pacific Coast that I replaced the first one with was like in this video, a black, 1994.. I commuted 26 miles a day six days a week usually for eight months a year here in Pennsylvania on that particular Pacific coast. It is the best motorcycle in the entire history of the universe for commuting.. in those 24 years of commuting. Not a single part ever failed on that motorcycle. The Pacific coast was designed by a team of designers from Honda that developed the Honda prelude. If you look at the trunk from the rear of this motorcycle, you can see the similarities. They were given the order to create a motorcycle, but it’s not offensive to people that do not like motorcycles. So the designers hid the engine, the wheels, and the sound. In great Britain, there are over 10,000 motorcycle couriers in London alone. This motorcycle Was used to not only as a courier, but also as a taxi in great Britain. Europe and Great Britain. Use motorcycles, much more than in the United States.. Some people can point to the fact that this motorcycle has a drum rear brake. A drummer brake is more than adequate. Who needs a 250 hp rear brake? I never had to change the brake shoes on my commuter on the Pacific coast. And commuting is harder on brakes and tires then riding on the interstate… these machines have 48 hp, water cooled.. self adjusting valves, I’m not sure if it has three valves or four valves per cylinder. But I know that it has two spark plugs per cylinder, which means, this motorcycle run on regular gas with no problem… I have only two minor issues with the Pacific coast. Small fuel tank, which is basically under the seat I think it’s not even 5 gallons, and it does not have a reserve position for a petcock. So when you run out of gas, you’re out of gas. The other little thing is, tire sizes. There are only two manufacturers that make sets of tires that fit these machines. Metzler and Dunlop… other than that, these machines are just about perfect. You can do 90 miles, an hour for hours on the interstate, and, you can hunt along at 5 miles, an hour in a parade. They are light on their feet, they have neutral handling. You will not feel any heat from the engine or radiator on you at all ever. This is the only motorcycle with that distinction. The Honda engineers have the heat from the radiator exhausting out of two ports, one on each side of the fairing. If you put your hand on there while you’re moving, you can feel the heat coming out of those exhaust ports for the heat. That is one thing I cannot tolerate on a motorcycle is excess engine heat. for years, I hoped that Honda would bring back the Pacific coast with some updates, such as, adjustable, suspension front and rear, a single front disc instead of two front discs. Who needs 400 hp brakes in the front when you can lock the wheel with a single finger with a single disc… I would like them to keep the drum brake in the rear. It’s more than adequate. I would like them to go to a more standard size set of tires like on 600 & 750 Sport bikes. Pretty much all of them take a 120 tire in the front, and a 180 in the rear on 17 inch wheels… I would also appreciate Honda coming out with a pacific coast with about 1000 or 1200 cc engine, heated grips, and a manually adjustable windshield height. Electric windshield adjustment is nice, but in my experience, once you said it, that’s where you leave it. One other little thing. The stock seat on the Honda pacific coast was too soft .. after two hours on the stock seat, you need to take a walk. I put a Corbin seat, which is much like a horse saddle on my Pacific coast, it was the best of the seven Corbin seats I have had over the years. Some of the Corbin seats I have tried are the worst I have ever owned. But the one that used to make for the Pacific coast was ideal. I would ride from Western Pennsylvania tooth, Bethany beach. just stopping twice for gas with that thin- firm corbin seat.. I sold my Pacific Coast in 2018.. That’s because I retired in 2016, and no longer needed a commuter. And besides, I had a GL 1800 Goldwing, a Moto, Guzzi, Norge, and a Suzuki V Strom, 1000 at the same time. It broke my heart to see my Pacific coast just sitting there after serving me for 24 years, without even blowing a fuse, many times I would ride to work in the rain as long as it wasn’t pouring. I always always rode to work if they said it was going to rain in the weather forecast, because about 90% of the time, it didn’t rain when they said it was going to… The Pacific coast saved me many many thousands of dollars in gas and wear and tear on my pick up truck in my wife’s car because those vehicles could stay home. working six days a week, commuting, six days a week, Saturdays were optional OT, which I never turn down, I was using about 3 1/2 gallons of gas a week.. If I was driving my pick up, that would be about 11 gallons of gas a week. Not only that, I took all the back roads… and if there were road closures, or the road was blocked for some reason, it was no big deal to turn around and go another way.. I tried a Honda, ST 1300, hoping that was an upgrade from the Pacific coast. That is T 1300 is a rolling oven that weighs. 750 pounds.. That motorcycle put more heat on my shins and crunch than any motorcycle I ever experienced. It was unrideable Because of the heat. At the same time, like I said, before, you could feel zero heat, pouring off of the engine or radiator on the Pacific coast. They really did a good job. When they were given the job of designing a motorcycle that did not offend non-motorcyclists. They forgot to make a motorcycle that was appealing to motorcyclists.. That’s a pity, because I truly tell people all the time, the Honda pacific coast is the best motorcycle design in the entire universe for commuting in all weather

    I have some seat time on the Honda PC800. I love the bike. It's a great little touring option but because I am over 6 foot it is just a tad cramped.
