Hey mate, what’s the fishing like around Hervey Bay in winter. I’m thinking of a trip up there to get away from the cold for a couple of weeks. I’m in NSW
I’ll let you know this winter, I’ll be doing some trips up there
A fish is a fish right 🤷♂️😂. Awesome work mate!
lol I suppose it is lol
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmm
Ok now i need a smoker. Smoked tails with kfc supercharged sauce sounds damn good.
Got to hand it to him, Jeff can really call it, I love how he thought he had to brace himself to land it. At least your stingray could have been a good fish, until it buried in the sand.🤣🤣🤣😥 very entertaining cheers.👍
The initial run I was thinking bull shark. But in reality called it as a stingray really early. Was fun to test the heavy gear.
That was a work out!
Good fun and a great way to test that you can tie good knots lol 😂
Great stuff mate .carp on fly out at Leslie be great to watch .
Haven’t fly fished for carp in years
Catching any fish is better than catching a cold!
Xander 😂😂 Can say that coral trout was delicious 👌🏻
Fantastic videos mate . kids and I enjoy watching them . Great meeting you at the Leslie dam fishing comp. Keep up the great work . 👍🏼
Will definitely be back next year. Was a great weekend out at Leslie Dam
Great vid mate, Hervey Bay is paradise! Also great performance last week at Porters, our whole group totally enjoyed your singing and the stories about the songs. Keep up the great work with the channel.

Family fun day 😊
Great day out
Such a epic fish to catch
Looked like a great day out with the family.Wife & kids got a good sized Murray Cod.👍
Family fun day on the water
Caught my first eel tailed catfish today tried the southern fried coting mix. Was very good was pleasantly surprised. good video.
We stepped it up today and had Coral trout tonight for dinner but the eel tail is still a family favourite here
Well done Annette 👏 love the video Adam❤ good work helping Mum boys 🤗
They all did so well, only padded about 4km but was a great arvo on the water
It is pretty neat what goes on underwater, it is like spying on a larg aquarium. Thanks for sharing with and I really enjoyed it.
Pretty cool hey.
If you are fishing with bait, do those Striped Grunter pick it off before something bigger gets to the bait. I have that problem with schools of juvenile Redfin Perch.
Pretty much. Small light gear makes it fun though
Hi daddy cool video ❤ 😊
Thanks buddy love you
Ud af de film jeg har set, om Mini Trangia, dette er den pæneste karakter
Does anyone know if they work off a lithium battery?
Yes. I run it off my 120amp lithium battery setup in my car
I know you see me holding out my plate 😐
You need longer arms. I can’t quite reach you. Lol 😂
It's 37C out at Wivenhoe already? It's still spring :(
Yep can’t wait for summer
Great video mate, would definitely love to see more fly fishing videos.
Working on that. I actually tie my own flies and got my first fly rod when I was about 14 or 15 years old. I love trout fishing but it’s a bit hard to do in Queensland. Barra and trevally are great fun and go hard.
The underwater footage is really cool.
It’s pretty good hey
how on earth do you get the underwater shots
Trade secrets lol 😂
Awesome work Adam! Loved the underwater stuff! Been like that here in goldcoast recently, just TONS of tiny little taps, I’ve been able to manage to little bream…. Must be a kinder garden of em 😂 Keep up the amazing work! Tight lines brotha! 🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙
Going to put some unedited footage up this week. Just for anyone interested in it
nice
You say that the Trangia alcohol burner works in sub zero conditions. Even Trangia doesn't make that claim. While you may be able to actually get it lit and burning, alcohol burners are not efficient in sub zero cold weather. In fact, Trangia makes a cold weather kit specifically for the alcohol burner as an attempt to overcome the disadvantages of using non-pressurized alcohol fuel. At any temperature, alcohol needs to be vaporized for it to catch alight. The cold weather kit has a small cup that attaches to the bottom of the burner in which is placed a small amount of alcohol or flammable gel. The burning material in the cup warms the alcohol in the burner to facilitate the needed vaporization. The kit also comes with a aluminum plate that fits on the bottom of the lower windscreen to you can set it in the snow without it sinking into the snowbank. Trying to cook a stew using the large billy pots that sit exposed on top of the upper windscreen using just an alcohol burner in sub zero windy conditions will use quite a bit of fuel - if it is even possible. Cold weather conditions are the reason for the pressure isobutane gas burner insert. Extremely cold and windy conditions call for a true cold weather system like the MSR Whisperlight - especially when you are melting snow for drinking and cooking water. The problem isn't the Trangia system per se. The problem is inherent in using alcohol in cold weather. Leaving the cold weather topic, there is a bit of kit that you could include with your Trangia Storm Systems, and that is a "heat defuser." Either the alcohol burner or the isobutane gas burner will cause a hot spot, especially when you are not cooking with liquid. The center of the fry pan gets extremely hot while the sides of the pan remain cool. Unless you keep a close eye on your pots, you will end up with burned dinner! Your first demonstration of a basic stove used cross pieces set directly on the stove. I set those same pieces on the stove in the storm cooker, and then lay a metal can lid on top before using my pots and pans. This provides plenty of room for air flow but prevents the direct flame on the bottom of the pans defusing the heat over a wider area. I use a soup can lid with five 1/4 inch holes drilled into it. Lastly, because the large billy pots sit on top of the upper wind screen, a secondary wind screen should be used in windy conditions. The brilliance of the Trangia 25 and 27 systems really comes from the integrated wind screens that provide a stable cooking base, and supply plenty of air flow to feed the burner while simultaneously providing protection from wind that robs heat that could be directed to cooking your food. This wastes fuel and lengthens cooking time. The large pots that sit on top of the upper wind screen are completely unprotected from the wind. Additionally, more heat is wasted because of the space between the bottom of the pot and the top of the lower windscreen. A large wind screen that folds flat yet that is tall enough to protect the upper pot would solve this problem. However, using a large pot on the small burner on the 25 unprotected by the wind truthfully exceeds the limits of this system. If Trangia was to do it correctly, they would make a storm wind screen that would enclose the large pot. The large pot sitting on top, unprotected by from the wind runs counter to their tried-and-true very successful storm system. Wind steals a great deal of heat.
Thanks for your very detailed comment and thoughts. Yes you are correct that alcohol is not the best fuel for sub zero temperatures how ever you also crossed your own argument by acknowledging that TRANGIA actually make a cold weather kit that makes it possible to easily cook in sub zero conditions. Your second point has me thinking about adding a defuser to the kits permanently. I have used o piece of stainless steal mesh in the past for the same effect. Great idea and it would reduce soot when using mentholated spirits as fuel. Thirdly you are 100% right the Billy Pots are not the most efficient to use but they offer a great way to cook for a larger number of people at once. Sometimes using more fuel one time is better and more efficient than using less fuel multiple times. Cooking on top of the system really does push its limits but it is versatile enough for it to reliably work and that’s what attracts me to it. Thanks for watching the video and for your thoughts
