Could you get an uprated wall socket the same as for our tumble dryers etc, and still use the 3 pin UK, and get 32 amps?

So is this able to plug into a 3 pin wall socket and produce 7kw charging or do I still need to get a commando put on my house? Also, what is stopping me just getting a commando extender on my current Tesla trickle charger for £30, are they any advantages to this over the Tesla one

45 minute charge is not just a click of the fingers.....it's 40 minutes more than filling with petrol/diesel. 40 minutes of your life you aren't getting back. 40 minutes extra on your journey, plus the time finding a charger somewhere near your route. And maybe waiting for the charger to be free on top of that. So, it may not be unusual for that charge time on a journey to end up adding more like 2 hours compared to filling us with gas. This is why EVs are so cheap second hand now. So many people have tried them and got rid of them.

Test drove this car today….very impressive. Huge dealer/lease discount has brought it into my company car list, for my grade. Normally a high end Skoda/VW. Only downside is it’s a better car than what the CEO drives! Might be a bad career move!

I'd also add that the plastic body panels are almost dent-proof.

Purchased the J+B2 for '23 VW ID.4 Chattanooga Model for the same price as the far inferior VW portable charger (which is not included with the ID.4). Connecting to USA NEMA TT-30 RV 125V 30 amp outlet. Amazing construction quality. Worked instantly, charged from 44% to 80% in 12 hours. Now I need to go find out how to get the extension cables. Once I get a 50 amp breaker and NEMA 14-50 outlet this should do 5% battery to 80% in the same time. No reason to look at any other charger for home and portable use unless you need to have the charger on a network or to control on remote (which I wanted to avoid.) I've read it's the only UL certified portable charger in the market - don't know if that's true but it is UL certified. We'll see if the ID.4 is built to the same quality standard as this charger!

a few things to correct; production stopped in 2022 battery is kWh not kW max DC charging is 50kW not 150kW 4.9mile/kwh is not achievable. maybe 4.5 is you try very hard, but in real life perhaps 4mi/kwh is achievable daily.

Whattt 16k$ Us😮 reduce the price if not we can't not buy.. and can we connect the solar panel in for charging..?

thanks for the great video on a used i3. When we picked up our second hand i3 (2021) from the dealer earlier this year, we had the exact same experience: 40.000km but could have been a brand new car! No signs of wear on the light colored "Loft" interior. These are well engineered, well built high quality cars.

Would be nice to see an overall cost breakdown if it was a fleet car. How much over the 4 years and the ppm vice say a 530d etc. Nice vid keep it up there are a few honest fleet business owner experiences on YT.

So apart from it being VAT exempt (for now) what is the point of this? How is it better than an electric estate car? You keep gesturing to the back of the truck when referring to its 1000kgs payload but that includes all passengers and luggage, in order to tow 1500kgs you can only have 250kgs in the truck, not to mention the catastrophic effect that towing has on the already abysmal ESTIMATED range.

What is the range with full payload? Wvat is the range while towing 1500kg trailer? Range numbers unloaded are irrelevant.

With the poor range and no 4x4 there's little market for this other than it is the first in the European market. What's available right now from Chevroler and Ford outside Europe is substantially more capable.
