I think the wrong group.
Thank you Susie Idzik! So nice to see a fellow ChI person out there shining, and really helpful info. There IS a way to merge spiritual work and financial survival . . . and I also love the way you discussed being protective of your heart and work. Encouraging spiritual directors in lifting up our own stories. . . we bring who we are to our work, why not to our marketing of what we offer - so right and brilliant. Thanks again and much love, Maya.
What a glorious day. These beloveds are, indeed, a "Blessing to the World."
This was really captivating
I love Jessica 😭
This made me cry. Being heard is powerful.
❤
To all ordained today, to all who participated in this blessed renewal of the spirit ... of love ... of healing and in the spirit of the Divine presence of the All in All that we see. Amen, Amin, Ahui-Hou, May it be so.
What a lovely offering...wonderful to experience the Parliament through your stories and photos and videos. Thank you for sharing!

Great talk and “Hi, Lisa!” 👋☺️ This actually brought back a lot around photography as a spiritual practice we did in Hawaii. Also loved hearing everyone’s experience of the photo. For me, I was deep inside the flower in the middle, it was like being in a pink cave. When you suggested something about moving around I popped out and was swinging in the “u” shaped twig, which to me looked like a swing, obviously. I was feeling wind and smelling roses and feeling cool air…. It was as if I was a young, free, open, care free and innocent child again. That reminded me of something I heard for the first time at Nine Gates Mystery School where I also graduated from but in 2017 - “beginners mind”. So now much is swirling together in my awareness which is fun and timely. Happy to have caught this via UA-cam. Hugs and 💕.
I signed up then was unable to make it live and just watched it here. Grateful for the replay, what Jim shared, and the thoughtful discussion after. Really wished I could have been on it bc it is a topic that is very personally relevant to me. I think what Jim shared here is needed and timely. In fact, I believe there will be significantly increasing numbers of people in the coming years emerging from the haze of spiritual wounds as they continue to exit “churchianity” (cool word, Megan and Jim) and so much religious and dogma based trauma to, hopefully, reconnect with themselves and Source in a more authentic way. When they recognize the trauma experienced, begin navigating the pain and start to remember their wholeness, I really hope some can find their way to this. While I was going to say something about Jim’s presentation being a “truth bomb”, I saw and felt “truth balm” when I went to type it. (!!) If it’s not already, I feel Jim’s “truth balm” presentation should be published wherever it can be for people to find and utilize bc of that. This was surprisingly still very poignant for me to listen to and I am a considerable number of years on the outside of the most intense parts of healing my religious wounds. I can’t help but think how much it would have meant had I found it when I first started and was, well, reeling. (So, seriously, Jim - you should publish this anywhere ya can.) Really good. 🙏🏼💕
While this is almost a year old now, I am only now finding it. What a blessing and inspiration this was! Hearing each graduates personal presentation was truly a gift and I was moved and inspired by each of you. Some were particularly relatable in personal ways and has left a deep impression on my heart. Julie, your sharing was profound and spoke to something within me that will not be forgotten. I also must mention the charge given to you later as it was poignant to me as well. And, Shannon, your time of personal sharing and the charge given to you was very personally relatable, tender, and moving. It was a joy to later in the ceremony see your kids and husband place the stole on you,, especially after hearing how supportive and humorous they are. To all, congratulations on your ordinations and thank you for your sharing, your example, your service, your inspiration.... the tears and the laughter you evoked in me. 🙏❤ Edited to add the following: really enjoyed the music, especially the song sang during the anointing of oil and at the end of the ceremony. If anyone could pass along what these songs are, that would wonderful and thank you. ☺
Thank you so much for posting this. I was bummed to be unable to attend live due to a schedule conflict and then delighted to learn you recorded and shared it. Especially appreciated “the middle aged, boring, white, straight guy’s” (haha) second question and look forward to the resources you guys mentioned sharing to address his points as well as the other questions asked re: resources. Again, thank you and many blessings. 🙏🏼
Thank you for this dialogue. ✨💛
I grew up with interest in psychology & medicine, as of late for the last 6 years I've been more interested in world religion as a pass time. After learning I don't want to pursue medicine, I feared I wouldn't have a lot of options for careers with a major in world religion, until now! I'm happy I found this page & I have an actual reason to memorize multi-language prayers & offer end-of-life rights for fun.
I’m volunteering at a hospice, and I’m very interested in becoming a chaplain. This was helpful.
Schedule a chat to learn more about how we can help you get to that goal of becoming one! chaplaincyinstitute.org/contact/
Powerful example, and blessing. Katie - thank you for your words. Rev Katie Michael-Sanchez, Interfaith Minister - Let's us celebrate indeed.
Listened to every word and was so happy to see you again, Jennifer--and feel the huge growth since I saw you last in your shining face! I miss you!
This is fabulous example of great spiritual direction. Thank you to the participants for being willing to share it with us.
Thank you, Rev Chirch! Very grateful for ChI and your words at year's end...and beginning! Blessings, All!
Andy, Katrina, Kari, Wren: Note - This is the best recollection of the note I tried to make in the comment section on 11/26/21. My main points were: 1) This is a great use of video that reaches out to the full ChI community and invites builds and deepens community and community participation. This approach of involvement in and response to current events deepens the sense that we are a vital community. 2) The video and round table commentary and dialogue offers all of us a reflective opportunity to consider challenging current and events and may lead us to share our own considerations reflections. 3) A heart reflection for me that arose as I listened to all of the commentary; along with my sense of outrage for the act and legal result in this case, how do I not race to arrogant judgement as if I know something about the perpetrator in this case? What led this person to this abhorrent action that is so far away from the wholeness of caring relationship that my world view suggests we are all seeking? Is it possible for me to find forgiveness for our human failure and imperfections; forgiveness that invites loving wholeness and healing? I believe it is possible and that is my opportunity to deepen in my desire for whole communion and connection. Blessings to all of you.
Thank you Scott. Your questions are alive and very real. Part of what we are called to think about, pray about, and grapple with collectively. We are grateful to have this community in which to hold that struggle.
Thank you, ChI leadership!
Thank YOU!

Thank you so much!
To start a career as an interfaith chaplain, do you have to be otherwise educated aside from the interfaith chaplain certificate appointed by The chaplaincy institute?
John, this is such an amazing video example of great spiritual direction. Thank you for posting this. So many will be drawn to spiritual direction and learn the evocative method of direction from this example!!
Way to go, Reet! I love the touch of coming mystically out of the woods and the dog helping with the ordination.
