The smash factor on the EML with your 7i tells me that device is under reading CHS. It’s very unlikely to get 1.42 smash factor with a mid iron.

You are correct with the start up, I started in the back garden with a net, mat, iPad and a Mevo + and that was 4 and a half years ago, last year I went all in and converted the garage into a sim room before the winter ⛳

Can a lefty and righty play together easily? Or does it take a lot to switch over

The only ball data that needs to be accurate is Ball Speed, Launch angle, Launch direction, Backspin, and Spin axis. If these are the same with both units then carry distance and roll out are purely an algorithm issue that can be easily adjusted. I don't know why all launch monitor brands don't offer a settings menu that lets you choose how far the ball goes based on those numbers. The device can have its base distance and horizontal ball curve calculated from the data that can be adjusted by the user as a percentage of the basic data. Then all ball carry distance and ball curve cause by the basic data is up to what the user seems is good for him or actually accurate compared to other device data. This has to possible to do! If the basic ball speed, launch angle and spin data between different devices is not consistently the same then one or both of the devices has some potentially unsolvable issues and probably isn't worth spending money on.

When making comparison, would it not make sense to know the perfect way to setup the product,by getting this information from the manufacturer,and would take the guessing out of it, 😔 😉😔😉

No it’s not the best ever made. It’s missing several crucial club data points.

I don’t have a place for a screen or a projector. So Garmin all day for me. Plug into a $250 TCL tv and done. Simple setup.

I picked up a Mimi lite over Black Friday for $1849. Couldn’t pass it up - it’s a great unit. Use GSPro with it no problems. Great data - only the clubhead speed tends to be overstated- I know in the video it was mentioned that I believe the CH speed was lower than the competition but that hasn’t been my experience- maybe he misspoke. BS, Carry, Shotshape incredibly accurate vs my OG Skytrak, which I’ve found over the last 7 years to be spot on with these readings.

Club data has no impact on the ball flight and numbers so I’ll just say the two sets of stickers and angles made those useless. Other than that, the garmin gave some weird numbers at times and the differences between the two on carry were a bit further apart than I’d expect. I think garmin needs to look at how they use spin and their algos.

The Eye Mini/lite has had some pretty apparent spin axis and other measurement reading issues since launch. I’d avoid the brand. There’s also a reason why no other YT channel was able to test side by side; the infrared cameras on both units screws up readings for one or both devices.

Having two stickers on the club will give you false readings for club speed.

Interesting that the ball speed are so similar but the club speeds are so different.

I like the idea of the review ! But both these units need to be set up bang on and tested against a trackman for a fair test. I’d love to see this happen ! The misalignment and the added club stickers in the wrong locations for each monitor, will give inaccurate readings. Hope to see them both up against a trackman or even the pro tee VX

So typical of these units with the annoying audible cue. That is the last thing I want to hear for hrs and days of use. Can the audio beep be turned off? I couldn't hear it on the video. Proximity of the ball to the sensor is enough and a little light shining around the ball or some other visual cue is superior. I used one of the top end Uneekors and it's a big no bueno for me, that beep is annoying as hell. But no one was there to explain if it was avoidable.

Umm something well off here with 7i. Tour player average carry is 176yds with ball speed 123mph. These numbers are Rhapsodo 190+ carry and just over 100 ball speed. So accordingly to this your hitting over 15yds further carry than Tour avg with 20mph less ball speed! Surprised you didn’t mention these numbers are way off since you must know that your real 7i carry is probably no more than 160yds

The black velvet I got is not wide enough and under a lot of tension. I cannot really get it fixed -- is there I chance I got an incorrect velvet?

How much did everything cost total for this setup? I'm estimating $10k for the GC3 + software + full screen tv + indoor turf

Thanks for this video . Big discrepancy on new driver I bought for me at Golf Galaxy on Track Man 4- vs GC3 - 27 yard differential at its worst and average of 10+ yards on 10 shots. I call GGalaxy and asked if they juiced the Trackman with attitude but they said and showed me “no”, and even allowed me to bring the GC3-and hit some more to compare the two basically recreating this video. To be fair though-GC3 was within 3 yards +/- on PW and 8 Iron shots and has been accurate with all irons really. Also there’s the fact that : GC3 - $7k Trackman 4 -$22k so you get what you pay for but don’t trust driver data …period.

Any solution to reduce the distance between the screen and the wall? Maybe one mattress on the back ?

Have you compared the Flightscope X3 with the Mevo+ Pro?

the spin rates on the GC 3 are very suspect? 620 on the toe shot and on the push shot and then the one you hit with a heel TM was 3273 , which is probably correct and then showed only 1840 on GC3. Too bad the GC3 doesn't show strike location. Be great if you could test them outside to see the real flight. Great work and good swing!

What’s consensus on the club data with ST+? I worry that inaccurate club data is worse than no data, especially for someone using this to work on their swing…

what distance from hitting area to screen are you working with, and distance from hit to mevo+?

Just buy a ST+ and save money. TM also has a delay in shot to show and GC3 doesn’t seem any more accurate.
