I had the pleasure of meeting Chance and his family, and best of all, I got to go fishing with them! I had so much fun with these wholesome folks. Half of the footage was lost due to a GoPro glitch, so you won't get to see the clip of Chance pranking me, pretending to be a fish on the end of my line, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the rest! I look forward to our next encounter.

@@zmj0hns0nI have that same freedom. You don't have to like it. So, what purpose does "babying" a wild steelhead have? It was easy to tell from the lack of bend in your rod that you'd likely lose thst fish. There is also an ethical obligation to land wild steelhead as quickly as possible go reduce stress on them. Playing "Hollywood" on a fish goes against recommendations from WDFW and most other organizations in wild steelhead catch and release fisheries. Truth. Whip em, and quickly release them. And of course bringing them completely out of the water is illegal. Back in the , there was a different code in Forks. The locals would educate you, with a hard fist to the jaw, if you floated through water then we're bank fishing with your line out, and other stuff commonly seen in Pugetropolis. Standing too closely while trying to fish a hole. They "mined" the road into T.T., with nails. Over 100 flat tires in one weekend. Some had 4 flats. Dents kicked in doors. Ahh, the good 'Ole days.

The last one we got was in 60 feet of water. Got the other two around 120'. You want to fish the top and bottom of sudden drop offs if you can. Good luck!

Fishing with trebles isn't legal on the rivers near forks
That is correct for this years rules (2021). Last year it was single barbless hook, with up to three points.

@@chevydude5o2 bro I live in Forks. I've talked to game wardens about this. There are upper sections of river where it's been Selective Gear Rules and you use a single point barbless, but not the entire river. Barbless hook Barbless - single point hook You will find both of these used in the rule book. Happy fishing man!

I’m so mad at myself for not being able to make it over there this year. I have my uncles paperwork all filled out so I can induct him into the loggers Hall of Fame aka museum there in Forks. Hopefully will be able to make it happen this year. Love the bloopers reel most fishermen would have those scenes if they’re brave enough to put it out there for everyone to see!!!!! 👍👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻

Those flounders look very clean and nice better than these down in Tacoma full of worms and nasty at the end of the video are trolling for salmon if so is still at seiku and where and how deep if you don’t mind me asking I’m a disabled vet and just brought a boat and to give it a try thanks
We were trolling about 40' in front of the caves out at Sekiu. It's amazing how diverse the fishing is out there.
