@ As far as I know there are no newer versions of the MK-012. It remains a classic. There are a number of interchangeable capsules. There are some that are larger. For example the MK-012-10 set comes with all three of Oktava’s small diaphragm capsules and the MK-101 large diaphragm capsule. I think there’s another large capsule too. Ah, the MK-102. Without the MK-101 and MK-102, there are still 3 interchangeable capsules. Cardioid, Hyper-cardioid, and omnidirectional. There may even be more than that, not sure, but those are the basic 3 for sure along with those 2 other ones that at least to me would seem to be more of a serious investment. They’re all an investment. lol. I’m writing this to remind myself. I recently had an inquiry with Google Gemini, formerly Bard, about some of the capsules that may be a little harder to come by, though I’m not entirely sure. “The Oktava MK-101 and MK-102 are both large-diaphragm condenser microphones with interchangeable capsules, but they have some key differences: MK-101: Vintage character: Retains some of the vintage character of the popular MK-219/319 capsule. I think I would end up getting the 02 kit to have the Cardioid and Omnidirectional capsules (and the -10db part if it comes with that too), then get the 102 capsule as well for recording my saxophone if I'm feeling it haha._ _Again, thank you! this really helps_

@@dougwollman2533 _Oh I just seen that the 101 capsule also has a cardioid version instead of the figure-eight pattern as an option, and there are also 103 and 104 capsules, all having their own unique traits_

That place was unbelievable, and my grandparents were into being modest. But it had a glory of its own. Wish I could show you, and others what this place was like in the late seventies into the eighties. I do believe some of my family lived out here as late as 1991 for a short time.

@@PACreekWalker I had fun exploring what buildings were left in the late seventies. You can imagine what that’s like. Too bad there’s no footage or pics of that. There is the pic of me holding a chicken and a cat towards the end. That was by the big barn. Somewhere there may be a few more pics.
