Using Celeste's assist mode the wrong way (Celeste Floorless 1A2D)
hi i took a nap for like a year but now im back with low quality content just like before
This video was kind of rushed and the change I made is completely unnecessary
I might continue this with other chapters if it doesn't require that much modification for each one.
anyways it probably wont be another year till my next video but who knows.

recently i did this with one dash and i believe you only have to touch the floor twice in the whole chapter note: i didnt count movable blocks
its really cool to have the splice warning at the start, a lot of lesser people would just hide that in the description or leave it out entirely.
To me, putting it in the description isn't really "hiding". I think most people doing that genuinely intend it to be read, but don't realize that many won't read the description thoroughly. As someone who pretty much always reads the descriptions, I was guilty of expecting the descriptions to be read in some of my videos myself. But yeah, leaving it out entirely is pretty scummy.
It's obviously spliced and they don't pretend it's a deathless run or something, so it doesn't even matter in my opinion.
that edit you pointed out at the start should also be unnecessary btw since if you do two climbjumps in quick succession you will also get the required height

Assist mode is built into the game. It's a setting on the main menu.

@@pirilon78 Ah, sorry, forgot about that part. For what it's worth, I've seen claims elsewhere in this comments section that this is actually possible without the map edit.
This was awesome!!!! I love challenges like this. Your splices were super super super clean!!! I don’t suppose you’ll release this map (with the spikes + one platform edit) for others to try? I’d love to attempt it and would definitely credit you for the idea + modded level.

2:22 where is the one way platform? It is not necessary to remove it.
It’s impossible to get enough distance with the spikes there since you need to come from above to jump from higher than you can normally climb. This is explained in the first 5 seconds of the video
@@jake6542_ No it is definately possible! And you don't even need two dashes to do it. I have completed this entire challenge (i added the platform back) without assist mode!
@@jake6542_ It's possible to execute the 2nd climbjump as you travel up from the first, and dropping from above is unnecessary.
@@jake6542_you can 5jump by pressing two jump buttons one after another without going above the one-way
yea I realized this after I uploaded the video. It was kind of rushed so I didn’t spend enough time trying to find routes. Also that was the only room that I couldn’t complete with 1 dash in my route finding, How did you do it?
