Why doesn’t the car go around
I got stuck in a line of traffic behind a pack of them on my way to work a few days ago. There were at least 15 of them and like half of them were riding side by side. It’s a busy two lane road at rush hour and it was almost impossible for anyone to get out around them because of oncoming traffic. Did a single one of them care there was a line of about 35 cars (and climbing) behind them that they were holding up from getting to work? Fu[k no. I’m not opposed to biking, but there should be restrictions on the time of day they can be out. Morning and evening rush hour is no place for bikes. It’s busy enough already with people just trying to get to and from the place that keeps a roof over their head. There are 24 hours in a day and at least 20 of them are wide open for them to bike to their hearts content but they always choose the time the most people are out trying to get somewhere. I wish I had a bullhorn and a megaphone sometimes.
As a cyclist i can say that if i see a car behind a lot of time i move out the road to let It pass im not going to arrive before, but the car yes
These people are all ididots. Ride in a neighborhood or a park. Noton a 3 lane hiway. Nobody thinks youre cool

I knew a guy who used to ride a bicycle to stay in shape and he used to brag about it how he would live longer than everyone else because he was in such good shape. Well he didn't live to be old because a car ran over him because he was in the middle of the road and he died at 29 years old!!

Where I'm from, it's perfectly acceptable to overtake the cyclists because lane-splitting with two-wheelers is allowed.

We had one get hit by a car a few years back in the same spot .
This is a small two lane road, the speed limit is likely <30 MPH. I get they can be annoying at times, but those cyclists have a legal right to be there.
Except that the law says otherwise. Bikes byblaw are required to use the roadway.

No problem with cyclist riding on a 25 mph road, but when it's 45 or 55, the fools need to move.

The problem is not the bikers but the inexperienced driver. If your not able to overtake a bike on the road then you shouldn't be driving.
Wrong! There often isn't enough room to overtake a bike without risking a head on collision. Why should I have to risk my life for some arrogant biker? They have bike paths. They should stay on them.
2 problems with that, here in KY you have to give the biker 3 feet at least to pass him, 2nd in KY you are never allowed to cross the double yellow to pass anything.

It's legal to pass a cyclist on double yellow lines in Australia. We have our share of stupid rules, but that one makes sense.

@@LootShrimpthey can tho. Bike’s can be passed on the road when there’s no bike lane and the line is solid. That and they’re pulled to the side.
@@LootShrimpbikes are not considered “motor vehicles” they have the same rules as pedestrians. Thats like saying if someone is walking on the side of the road you can’t pass them. lol. You have to pass at a safe distance there’s no on coming traffic. No reason they need to wait.

@@LootShrimpthat might be state by state. Where I live, lines only indicate when it's safest. The only time it's actually illegal to pass is if there is a sign on your side of the road that says "Do not pass"
Why won't they pass the bikes is it illegal there or something?
Look at the yellow bars, they can legally pass when their bar is broken up into sections or when both bars are broken into sections on a single strip.

They're going uphill and the bend in the road give very limited sight distance . It's legal to pass, just risky. Having said that , there's more than enough room to make it by without using the opposing lame. Worst case ,the drivers side tires would ride the line .
