Your handhelds look so pristine compared to mine, haha. An unconventional but cool beginning! Funny how I have a similar GameBoy experience, Pokemon experience, GameBoy Color experience, and also have a modded GBA. I really wish I had one of the backlit SP's. I have to admit, I completely forgot that the 2DS Xl was a thing. Really enjoyed this video.

Wonderful video, Jenny! I love that you still have your original Game Boy Color in the box with your copy of Pokemon Blue Version. I also feel very similar feelings about Ocarina of Time. I watched my Uncle play it growing up, but never quite understood the game or could get into it as a kid. My freshman year of college I remember climbing into my bunk every night with headphones on, and playing through the entirety of OoT on 3DS for the first time to completion. Such an unforgettable gaming experience!

STORYTIME!! I really love your handheld story, Jenny. As a kid, I was into handheld gaming but not too much of a fan, to be honest. Even though I liked Gamegear more than Gameboy because of Sonic and Shinobi. I didn't get into GBC or Advance (Only Super Mario Bros 3 and Pokemon Yellow) and this is where I decided to say handheld is no longer my thing anymore until the PSP came out. I remember in the year of 2006 one week after my birthday, I went to the mall with my mum and my brother and she bought a PSP and I will never forget how much I enjoyed the moment we had and the 1st game we bought was Untold Legend, Prince Of Persia 2 and Twisted Metal. 3 years later we finally bought a DS Lite without games for a month and we have games like Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Chrono Trigger, and Portrait Of Ruin. I had a great time experiencing PSP and the DS and it felt like Genesis and SNES all over and when Nintendo made a 3DS announcement I was not ready for it but still excited. I bought 3DS 1 year after a release (Aqua Blue of course) and my brother bought one (Flame Red) 3 months later. The game I've always wanted to play was Resident Evil: Revelation and Final Fantasy Theatrhythm for co-op. I didn't care for a Vita when it launched but I did buy a JRPG game for it and my brother bought one for his birthday (Assassin Creeds bundle). In 2017 until now, my brother and I started to become a handheld collector for all four handheld games and both of them became my favorite handheld gaming devices of all time. And finally, Nintendo Switch launched and got it 6 months and we only play the Switch games for exclusives as always. At that time, I didn't bother buying any 3rd party games or indies I was always for PS4 Vita and 3DS until both Sony and Nintendo kept it quite for both handheld and there aren't any new games to get so, my brother and I agreed that the Switch the replacement for both with no regret. That's our story!

One of my earlier handheld memories is seeing the Gameboy Color advertisements on TV..for some reason, I was under the impression that the systems came with games built into them..so I saved up my money in my little wooden box and my mom took me to Walmart to get one..when they told me that there were no built in games I was so disappointed and didn’t end up buying it...probably cried the whole way home..then my mom got me a teal GBC and Pokémon Gold for Christmas haha

Great topic, I have always enjoyed handheld games! Back in the day I started with the teal GBC and Pokemon Red. That was followed by the original tank DS, a red PSP, and a purple original 3DS. Most of my lastest handheld games time has been playing on the Vita, great system. Just some weeks ago I got a Switch, so I'm starting to explore the game offerings there.

I love the way Nintendo has kept pushing the handhelds... and now with the Switch where you have teh best of both worlds... its amazing. Defo my fav console (other than SNES). Nice video. Wow, starting with a Nomad is pretty incredible. I don't know many people who own those! I love handhelds too, and I've modded all my original gameboys in one way or another to have nice backlights. I'm also super excited about the new analogue pocket.

I’ve always heard people who had a lot of siblings confess their love for handhelds. It gave a gaming console all to themselves. I’m an only child so I had my own tv so handhelds never really appealed to me much. I had them but they were always secondary. The switch is an awesome hybrid that appeals to everyone!

I also love handhelds too to death because handhelds has always been my favorite i have always prefer it over home video game consoles i'm a fan of handhelds in my opinion and i know that some people hate the nintendo wii and nintendo ds some people love nintendo wii and nintnedo ds i love the original nintendo ds, ds lite and super mario 64 ds i thought it was good to me that's just my honest opinion and the nintendo switch is my favorite system i also have the switch too

Great video Jen. I also love handhelds sat playing Pokémon Red on my Game Boy with headphones while my parents watched the TV good times. One of my favourite handhelds at the minute is the PlayStation Vita a really underated handheld with a tonne of great games plus the ability to play PS1 games on it portably and PSP games is great too.

That TV looks bigger than the ones Nintendo had on the E3 floor, and I even went to the VIP section and still some of them were smallish.

Do any of the games utilize the tablet controller in interesting ways. It's been a little disappointing so far.

Looking good. I bet this is the finished game and they cud release it now but some "clever clogs" has prob worked out a release strategy to maximise console/game sales.

Consider me jealous! I can't wait to play Mario Kart 8 myself. Even though I've just preordered a PS4, Nintendo made sure I won't forget my Wii U. It's been a rough launch but the future looks bright. Hopefully Nintendo won't delay their European releases as they tend to do.

Same story here, I went on Wednesday at about 4:15 and they had people signed up through about 7:30 already. I didn't bother to wait (or go back Saturday) but it's a good thing to see that the WiiU has plenty of eager fans!
