Had a good time out at Quinlan Enduro. Did the time trial event. Don’t have much video because I forgot to turn the camera on for my first run. So only got the second run.
I rode that track the weekend after you guys raced there. The place sure was tore up. If they'd routed the track to the left at 5:42, you would've seen a horribly deep and muddy river crossing that was dragging the footpegs down on our bikes. It's too bad that Steve decided to never have another race there.
We took a little trip down south to race a Sprint Enduro with our friends at TORCS. TCCRA had pretty good representation. Just a note if you ever run one of these, do not go balls to the walls on the first test. You get 4 more. I crashed twice on my first test. It messed up my gopro mount and I had trouble all day. So I have an new chin mount ordered. The tracks were fun and the weather was not to bad. There was a good breeze all day. We did 10 tests. Average about 5 minutes per test. Probably had 10 minutes in between test, so a little break to cool off.
Well if you are pacing off me you are going to slow. You were going good when you passed me. Make sure and yell "different class" when you come up on me. There are usually two of you H3's that catch me. Most of the other people who catch me are in my class and I try not to let them by.
Yeah I thought it was the blue line big hill. So I panicked and turned around looking for the line around the hill. Then I realized it was just a regular hill. I lost the race by 25 seconds. That move didn’t help me.
Didn’t have a good day. I hurt the bike at the last race. It got really hot. I paid the price at this race. I dropped a valve ruined my head. So scrambling to get everything together to get it going in a week. So video is only a little over a lap before it grenades.
This was a tough one. I am not a very good mud rider and this was some tough mud. My GoPro battery didn’t make it to the end. My race was over 2 hrs. So enjoy me going 2 mph most of the video.
My first time at Redneck w/Paychecks. It was an awesome place and a great track. Had the closest race I have had in a long time. The first three finished nose to tail. I did have some issues with some of the GoPro files. They got corrupted. If anybody knows how to repair them please let me know. I was still able to get 3 1/2 laps.
I've got to work on my starts and passing. I got a horrible start and while it was a great track, it was really hard to find places in the woods to get around guys that were just barely slower. Add a couple of bad decisions on my part resulted in spending most of the day at the back of a line with no way around.
Well this race went better than the last one. But my GoPro footage did not. About 1 minute into the race I landed hard on a little step down jump. It knocked my GoPro loose. Spent the rest of the race pushing it up. I edited out all the footage of my chest. I left some footage that is a little hard to watch because of the angle but it was a great track and wanted to try and get some video of it. So Kevin Ruckdeschell no need to comment that my camera is to low. I already know.
Well 2024 season started off ok. I finished, which was my main goal. For some reason my GoPro didn’t make it to the end. Will have to get that figured out. But it looks like this season should be a lot of fun and very competitive.
The race did not go as planned. I had this get off on the second lap. Would like to thank Chris Baula nd Brent Shaw for helping. Also the guy on the red bike. I will get his name and try to thank him. I ended up with a broken collar bone, broken scapula, 6 broken ribs and a broken thumb. With these things it is not a matter of if it is just when and how bad, Would like to congratulate Rob on his hard fought championship. He came out swinging and the rest of us just couldn't keep up. we will be back next year for another good fight,
Travelled down south to run the Torcs series with a buddy. The course did not have any real technical terrain but the course itself was very technical. It was like racing on a field of baseballs. You had to be very careful. Still had a great time racing.
I grew up in TCCRA and are kinda thinking about getting back into it. I'm 41 now and haven't ridden a bike since My accident in 2005. Also my dad won the championship in 1995 I don't remember what class he was in but his number was F11 Larry Gardner. Keep the vids coming
I will be 61 next month. You are just hitting your prime. If you are not quite ready to race just come out on Saturday and ride the track. Also my dad Still races and he is 81. So you still have at least 40 good years of riding.
This was more of a survival event than a race. I just tried to make it to the finish and not get buried in the mud. The track guys did a great job re-routing and keeping us going.
First off I forgot my GoPro and had to use my son's, Did not have all the setting correct and the battery didn't last the whole race. This one was a tough one. With the dust and the early morning sun and no wind, visibility was at a premium. Didn't help that I got a fourth place start.
Does TCCRA allow non racers to ride the track on Saturday before the Sunday races, or racers only? If so, is it for part of the day or full day? Thinking of going to spectate/ride the track, but not looking to race. If someone could let me know, thanks.
race started out dry and dusty, then ended up a mudfest. I got a piece of mud on the camera on the second lap so I cut everything out until the rain came and washed my camera some. I did leave the blue lines in for educational purposes. I showed how not to go over the rock, I did get it clean the 3rd time. The last 20 minutes or so is me trying to survive. For those riders who finished that 4th lap congrats.
keep it up

Pacing you in the woods really helped me. I just ran out of steam on the last lap. That was me you let by at the 34:29 mark. Fun race

it was a hot dusty one. I am just not fast enough in the sand and rock. Speaking of Rock he flew by me like I was sitting still.
Yeah I thought it was the blue line big hill. So I panicked and turned around looking for the line around the hill. Then I realized it was just a regular hill. I lost the race by 25 seconds. That move didn’t help me.
@15:10 Throwing in an extra blue line for style points
Ok I had to delete the old video and put this up. I had a loop in there that repeated the first 10 minutes. This also has stuff not in the first one.
ooff.. That didn't sound good... You need an orange bike.. lol
Nah I like the blue bike. A new head, one cam and new piston it will be as good as new. My little orange eater will be ready to go.
when the rain started it was ice...
Wow-that’s tough. Looks like you were headed for the lead in another lap or two!
Didn’t have a good day. I hurt the bike at the last race. It got really hot. I paid the price at this race. I dropped a valve ruined my head. So scrambling to get everything together to get it going in a week. So video is only a little over a lap before it grenades.
That looked tough. So glad I went to Concho instead. It was wet but at least there's a rock base that doesn't get slotted out. Solid ride!

Well.. I hope this coming weekend at Forbis 2024 isn't that tight or that dusty, lol.
Haha I think you jinxed us bc it was the worst race I think I’ve done ever and the back section near the road was a slip fest
Congrats on the win. Track and riders looked awesome. Hope you get files for the finish.
Thanks 👍

It was nice to see Copeland out there. Now, tighten up that go pro mount, lol
Yes it was a great track but had to work to get around guys close to the same speed.
Congrats on the win. Great ride!
Thanks!

Where is this place?
It is east of Ardmore Oklahoma. You can do a search for redneck heaven riding park
We've all been there, glad to see you get up safe! The last race was a good one to miss anyway...
Rough get off, man. Heal up quick, gotta start all over in a few months!
yep 3-4 months should be enough time to be ready for next season.
Holy cow. Hope you heal up fast man that is rough. You’re tough Danny thanks for making these videos.
Thank you. Doing a little better, still rough getting up and down
Dang man. I hated that side of the road. All that deep sand was horrible. Baula is a good dude. Glad he was there to help. 👍 E378. Heal up soon.
Yes Baula is a good dude. He made sure I got out of there and back to camp.
Heal up buddy that was a rough one!
Thanks

Great Job and good smooth Riding! Smart choices. Enjoyed the video.
Thank you
Good ride Danny!
Thanks John. It was a fun race.

need to raise the camera up a bit. I want to race but the dust tho...
Dust was no fun. Thinking about going down and doing the torcs sprint enduro in a few weeks
This was not the race to get a bad start. Rob spanked us today, but had a good battle with Phil, Gary and Marty.
Fun race. The camera is low a lot of the time because I look down to much in the corners and there were a lot of corners.
Hate to see the track didn't clear up too well, great race!
Yeah we got rain Saturday night. So it never dried up. The track guys did a great job of re-routing to keep us going.

Yes you can practice on Saturday. You have to pay normal fees but you do not have to purchase a race entry. You can pretty much ride all day.
@@dannyburnap1950 Awesome, thanks!
Wow, you guys seem faster the the over 30 group. And you seem fitter. Good run. Thanks.

I am not much of a mudder. I was just in survival mode. If you weren’t out there on that last lap the video doesn’t do justice to how slick it was
It was extremely slick. You had to be very careful! Thanks for these videos they’re awesome 😎
The camera is on face of my helmet. Right in front of my mouth
Well... that definitely solved the dust problem.. Glad I had the second race.. That looked brutal
It was good for 3 1/2 laps then it turned ugly very quickly
Where do you have your camera mounted?
sorry I replied to the wrong comment. It is mounted on the face of my helmet. right in front of my mouth.
@@dannyburnap1950 thanks!
That’s me hooting and hollering at 42:05 🎉 yeehaw it turned into quite the turd floater
