Bonnie was a BIG role model of mine, and we both played at the SUNY/Albany some big party and she was on one stage, and we played on the other.........way back in late 70's. I didn't get to meet her, but I sure would have been honored to. Great show. Love hearing the back stage "workings" of songs.

Bill is wearing his coat of many colors. What caught my eye (and made me go back to make sure) was how the entire band riveted their attention on Bill during the entire horn solos ((about 2:45-4:50).

There are very very few songs ever written that come so close to perfection as does this song. So sad about L.G.

No band quite like Little Feat! I liked Sailing Shoes, but it was Rock N Roll Doctor that hooked me for life. Saw them twice while Lowell was still alive. Sadly they weren't so well known so they opened the shows (once for ELO, another time for Poco). A big heartfelt shout out to Sam Clayton who put me on the guest list for the second show because I was a poor college student and couldn't afford the ticket (I was the "popcorn guy"). I'll never forget his kindness and generosity! Didn't know how they would carry on after Lowell passed, but they did with flying colors! (just recently saw the Waiting For Columbus anniversary show - fantastic!). And I can thank Bill & company for turning me on to Dolly Parton, when I saw that 3 of them were in her backing band, I bought the album.

Sailin Shoes and Dixie Chicken are my favourite Feat albums

LF's debut so raw almost demo level - as in intial cuttings of gems yet to be further polished - but it's grown over the years to be my favorite band release, (& Feat fans know there's plenty of rocking to choose from BL & AL (to keep the analogy going kinda hopefully ;-). Anyways a nother piece of audio jewelry from Mr George gone but never forgotten. T/y for this YT.

I love Little Feat as much as any true fan of what might possibly be the best American band in history. That said, and it brings me no joy at all to say this, I think it’s time to call it a day for the band. Unfortunately for me, I never saw Lowell George but when LF got back together in the 80’s with all the other original members along with Craig Fuller I was thrilled and saw them live five times. It wasn’t like seeing them with Lowell but it was still amazing. Now we basically have 2-3 original members left and a cast of guys who, while doing their best I’m sure, cannot recreate the real LF magic. This isn’t Little Feat. It’s more of a tribute band featuring some original members and that’s sad. We’ll always have Paris, Little Feat. Call it and let’s celebrate the music and memories.

Martin Kibbee co-wrote Rock and Roll Doctor and Dixie Chicken, and maybe some others with Lowell, but very little is known about him. Can you shed some light on this unsung Feat hero? Rock and Roll Doctor is one of the greatest Feat songs ever written. I'd love to know more about this guy.

Can someone tell me about Martin Kibbee? I looked up where he co-wrote Dixie Chicken and Rock and Roll Doctor. These are two of LF's best songs, but it hit me that he hasn't been heard from or little is known about his life and association with LF and Lowell George. I'd love to know. I'm a Feat Lifer, no matter how much the music changes, I still come back to Little Feat for great funk.
