It is quite possible that the Persian Corridor saved the world from a Nazi victory.
Very interesting. I'd never heard of the "Persian Corridor " until I read, Operation Long Jump, Bill Yenne. I like .your positive portrayal of Reza Shah. I'm getting a glimmer of why Iranians resent interference from westerners. Thank you.
Very good documentary ! It could have talked a bit more about how with the Iranian Coridor, the Americans tride 'nation building', and invested in Iran, to diminish Soviet influence. The Americans build roads (because the trans Iranian railway was not in good condition), and sent hundreds of American railwayworkers and drivers to bring the lendlease to the Soviets, even before the US was in the war !

My Uncle served in the Persian Corridor in the US Army..He is still alive and will be 95 soon....His memory is phenomenal....His has written articles on this....Was interview by CNN.....and....his articles, along with numerous photos are in the Congressional Hall of Records and in the Smithsonian...What a story he has told...

I actually do have a video copy of the interview....However....do to risking a greedy family member from finding this man and attempting to use him for his finances....I am forced to keep this private for now....Sadly....This family member has had a history of elder abuse for the sake of monetary value....:(
All those guys...the Engineers, the Logistics Battalions, and the combat group were amazing. My father, William Hauck was a Tech 4 operating the Big Lift...the 110" derrick donated by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Co. for dock operations. My dad's second MO was....30 caliber water-cooled Machine Gunner!! Just in case the Germans were not held at Stalingrad.
@@philiphauck7607, you should be ashamed of your father. He served in an imperialistic army, that unlawfully overthrew the leader of a sovereign nation, through the use of force. This was one of the greatest crimes committed against an entire nation, its people, and their future. Don't argue with me either. I speak as a member of that nation, which has suffered because of the grave crime committed by your father, his commanders, and his battalion. You have robbed us of our sovereignty, without our consent, and without any provocation from our nation. Your father was no different from the soldiers who colonized Africa, and massacred the indigenous peoples of the Americas and Australia.
