I'm a few years off uni, but I'm really interested in doing classics, however I'm a bit worried about career options after, does anyone have any... comfort maybe? I love looking at ancient Greece, specifically their mythology and society, the way people's minds worked and things like that, but I don't really see how I could transfer this interest into a career. I'd like to do a job in a subject that I'm interested in but I don't really know how

Such a shame that what I presume to be the source of much of the funding, Cripps' then principal business of Pianoforte Supplies Ltd, no longer exists. Once able to employ 1800 workers, it shrivelled to 1000 in the 90s and to 250 when it was closed in 2010. One wonders what would be if strategic investments had been made in changing the work of the firm to keep the factory and workforce in business, when the industry in which it was engaged went into terminal decline?

Interesting talk, thank you. I agree the study of pure structure is invaluable. I assume most would agree multidisciplinarity is an academia wide phenomenon & many of the primary disciplines could make the same case for their strand of the human system, & so they should. I would love to view a time lapse of the evolution of legal doctrine.

Stephen feeling that everyone was brighter than him is comical. I suppose there might have been one or two, but few would have lead a life as extraordinary as his.
