Plumbing in tight places.
Always look at how far back you would have to cut to make the most efficient repair possible. There's times when we are being penny wise, but we frustrate ourselves due to not looking at the best way to get the job done. I charge extra for degree of difficulty, I don't want to add difficulty. It's really good to step back and look at the whole project. maybe you spend money on an extra coupling or two and save your sanity and time. Hope this helps. cvpools.com

    Can I use my old bearings from my old pump if they r the same exact pumps?

      If they're in good condition, of course. New bearings are usually pretty inexpensive though.

    Hi, I'm experiencing a similar issue...where'd you get the small 1.5A mini fuses ? slow blow? hoping you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!!!

    • @marcosperales7349
      @marcosperales7349 3 місяці тому

      I believe the whole board is about 100.00, it will wave you time to just do that instead of nursing to find thr exact fuses. There are fuse kids for those though. Google search or siri will help.

    Hi there..super late to the party! love your content and had a few questions myself ... recently replaced the keypad/display on a Hayward H400 heater ..the initial problem was no power at all was hoping that this would do the trick but no luck ... do you think I should move on to the fuse board? Thx! oh and are these mini fuses??

    • @marcosperales7349
      @marcosperales7349 3 місяці тому

      I would test to see if you're getting power to the power board. Sometimes the breaker goes bad and only one leg is live. Proceed at your own risk.

      That's normally a code for the heater, power distribution board. Has 3 or 4 fuses on it. Its where the power is attached.

      It depends on the size of the job. If I'm only doing this... 250.00. Sometimes, the bearings are hard to get or expensive. Remember to judge whether the job is worth it or not.

  • @juicer52

    If that retaining clip is hard to loosen/corrosion welded to the plate, you can look through one of the air vents on the side and tap the clip with a thin screwdriver. Likewise, when reassembling, you can peek through the vent holes and make sure it isn't blocking the reinsertion of the armature.

    Thanks for posting this Marcos, I’m currently having this exact issue with one of my customers. However when I replaced the relay I’m still having the same problem. When I go to press the Filter button the relay clicks both on and off but the pump doesn’t turn off. The issue would then have to be the board?

    The pump used to stay on at certain times but turn off at other times. I would have to go out and turn it off at the breaker. I recently had to replace that pump and since then, the Jandy box inside the house will not turn the pump on or off, but it will turn on the Polaris pool cleaner pump. I am wondering if that too is a relay switch gone bad. I have a whipserflow pump not working as well and I think that is for the additional water flow for the spa as it does not shoot out water from it's jets as it used too, only about half strength. Also the Pool Pilot Digital display is not working at all, just blank screen and the salt chlorinator is not working, probably as a result. I have some work to do on this pool. What advice can you give me about the switch and digital display?

    Hi Marcos, I wanted to ask, we currently have an old aqualink rs4 controller that currently isn’t turning off our pump? We were told that it may be a relay problem? Are you familiar with this system?

    Hey Brother i was wondering if you could help me out. I recently replaced a pool cleaner pump thinking it was broken since it wouldn’t turn on. But when I put the new pump on and turned it on, it still wouldn’t turn on even after canceling the delay. It sounds like it wants to kick on but only for a split second then shuts off. Do you think the relay the issue? I’ve replaced a few pumps now and this has never been a problem, The pump is wired properly and is getting 120V on each terminal when I put the volt meter on, so I’m not sure what to do anymore 😢

    Great video Marcos. You ever seen where pool motor has correct 230 volts but the minute you turn the filter pump on on the control board it kicks out the 2 pole Seimens breaker? changed out the pump thinking it was the pump and still doing the exact same thing.

    • @marcosperales7349
      @marcosperales7349 Рік тому

      Yes. Are you trying to the breaker to the neutral bar with the pig tail? There is no neutral in 230, right. I connect the ground to the ground, it's the 230 is out of balance, GFCI should pop cuz there is nothing to balance it. Hope that helps.
