This whole time I thought you were saying “say bonsai” which makes me feel extra silly because I speak French.
Good
👍👍👍
so it makes the tree... uhh.. tree by treeing and expanding itself
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is it best not to let the tree sit in water over winter?
I am working on long form video to answer this question! Great question, it will be a long answer.
Thanks a lot ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Of Course!!!

Nice Evan! One knuckles worth = 1/2"~3/4" eh?
I’ve heard soil mixes explained all over the youtube world but this was a refreshing angle. Great video. Looking forward to part 2

Bonesigh..?
Evan, good on you for taking your time to explain the basics to the uninformed. Also, it’s laughable to think that someone could look at your trees and think “bUt he sAiD wUrd wRonG”.. Lol Bonsai police. Great work, all around. Big fan of your cypress. Thank you for the content.
Thank you so much! Appreciate your support
❤Waiting for the full video
Takes balls, yeah!
👍👍
When you do that will you pot it up into a larger container?
Yes depending on growth!
I love bonsai!
So do we!😂
Thanks for the videos, and the podcast is great too! I've got a batch of bald cypress growing from seed, so wish me luck keeping them alive in Canada.
We know all about bipolar weather!🙄 Good luck my friend, thanks for the feedback! 🙌
Guy is such card ! Great video.
Let’s see a potting
Well work on it!
Ini luar biasa❤
Thanks Evan, I have 5 Bald Cypress ( Collected 4 years ago ), and am making the decision how to style the 5th ( 2 Metres tall ). After your video , I think I'll go for a flat top the same size as yours. The other 4 are doing well. I will air layer the tree at about 650 mm and then train the regrowth into a tree similar to yours. I live in the north of New Zealand so we have a long growing season which Bald Cypress seem to thrive in.
Great video! Evan is a natural teacher.
Random question. I live in Ojai California and always loved bald cypress. I have great Olives that are comparable to that tree would you consider trading? Please let me know
Powerful tree . Thanks for sharing
“You might have a pot for another tree.” That had me rollin lol 😂
Extremely useful video even though I didn't understand half of what you were saying. What are the chances of you doing a follow-up video of the American Hornbeam you styled a few years ago.
Hey it's Evan on my personal account! If you're having a hard time hearing me click on the CC button at the bottom right of the video. UA-cam is really good at translating and adding subtitles. Thanks for the kind words, too! The American hornbeam I worked on with Dana has been sold unfortunately :(
Love to come visit one day and meet u guys. Maybe take a vacation. From Kentucky. Rather hear u speak ur wisdom than music bro.
Great info mate. 👊👊
In between insecticidal applications you can use water mixed with soap to kill off some aphids (and any other insects except maybe scale)

Florida Bonsai history: Joe Samuels found the Willow leaf and he and Jim Smith popularized it for bonsai. Florida most famous tree, the Cloud is a willow leaf. Jim Smith is famous being the 1st to use dwarf jades as bonsai.
What a great looking tree, nice work with the repot, very inspiring!!!
Guy needs his own youtube channel. Very enthusiastic and entertaining .
