As with any advanced weapon system, it's always about logistics, and no system is perfect. I[m not sure what your gripe video is about. The logistics issues alone is what caused the US to seriously slow down tossing M1s to the Ukrainians. As with any weapon system, it's about matching or exceeding the threat. The Abrams was never sold to be perfect, but it so eclipsed Soviet designs as to be stunning. The Chobham armour was ground breaking as well as the fire control system and stabilized platform for firing on the move. The effectiveness of these systems became evident and are without dispute proven in the Gulf wars. I would argue the only tank that might give it a run for it's money is the British Challenger. My son was (he's moved on to other duties) a TC on an A2 I think. He went to Iraq in an A1. The later models annoyed him as the computers took over a minute to boot. Even so, I've never heard of an M1 blowing up like a Leopard or a T90. I'm sure they can, but there are many things they did right in the design, especially placing the ammo compartments outside of the turret. Today? Unless serious drone protection can be deployed, tanks are in serious trouble. Helicopters and other air assets raise serious pucker factor for tank crews.
