What's the arrow indicators. What to a search to get those?

Which video goes over about not getting in the small candles that barely close over or under the 20? I feel like I would have went 2-2 by lunch time. Are there specific candles you are not getting into that cross? I'm trying to figure out when to take my profits and not hold long too.

been horrendous this week for trading the five minute and the 20 SMA. I see candles close and then go five points and immediately reverse and then reverse again. If I keep the stop at the bottom of the candle I’m losing more than gained.

Whats wrong with using the good old "first half hour range" term?

I did a few practice trades using the 2min and 20 SMA. Used 5 micros and took ten points. The first five times I tried, I got it. What luck.

If max drawdown is $2000 and max risk per day is $100, that allows 20 trades to blow account. Would be good to still have an account, so does that mean you should be at 50% after 20 losses? That would be a max daily risk of $50. Assume daily profit is half that. If take trades with $10 risk on one micro, then 5 trades with some winners and losers might make $25. If reduce contract size appropriately for the risk, it will take many months to hit the profit goals. If profit goal is $3000 to get funded, at $25 profit per day with $2000 max risk and $10 per trade risk and $50 max daily risk, it may take 6 months? Correct.

Where do I get the indicator that dings when the SMA move is triggered?

I can't trade in chop at all. I have come to the conclusion on days like today just sit on my hands. Maybe Friday will be better have job numbers come out

Not really strategy talk at all. Just a couple things but nothing really. I will say it takes thousands of hrs screen time to learn how it moves. Like the pops to up or downside are positions getting filled opposite of that pop. I used to think that’s the breakout happening but going against that pop is way more frequent. Plus when breaks above or below your in super early at tippy bottom or top.

2% risk per trade ......aim for 2% profit per day .......get the accuracy high , becuase 50% winners means you will have 6 losses in a row in a string of 100 trades

So you’re basically not teaching shit in your videos on UA-cam? You say you entered because a candle closed above the 20sma? why?

Grr I was long at 5352 es today but it whipped me out. Barely ticked my stop loss with that dang wick. Didn’t enter back in and watched it go to my target 94’ at close of day. I’m so picky I can’t enter after I loose my entry but sometimes it’s just required to enter same trade again.

This is by far one of the best videos that deals with trading psychology. Everything you spoke about is 100% correct and makes all the sense in the world. I appreciate all your work in putting together this content with genuineness for all of us aspiring traders in learning to master the "matter between the ears" without it being a sales pitch for an over priced course that is basically info that is free on the internet. 200-300 is the sweetspot for sure. I usually risk around 10 points on NQ and look for 1-4 R:R (usually around 2). if you have 2500 you'd have to lose 10-12 times in a row and at that point you gotta rethink your strategy

💯 on point! Trading has taken me to my lowest days and beaten me down so many times during losses and blowing up accounts, etc. I really had to accept these defeats in order to get where I want to be. I finally was able step back and reflect on my trading to see what I’m doing wrong and what I need to improve. I’ve traded for 6 years trading options and now futures. I finally found my edge and have been able to use strategies I’ve learned and adapt it to my own. You’re right, there’s no ONE good strategy. But if we work at it and have a trading plan to TP and set our max loss per day, then we become disciplined and more consistent. That is the key! Great video and advice! 🙌🏼

One thing that's helped me is understanding that trading is a game of probability. I know with a highly probable strategy there's no need to take more than 1-2 trades a day, this way I'll never be too deep in the red on losing days, because you're right, losing is part of it. It's not about just today but about where you're at Friday and the end of the month. I've had to learn that losing is actually part of winning and being profitable. It's not accepting losses and over trading that will destroy your accounts.

Oh this is such a great video to start the month and the week. Solid mindest and psychology to reflect on and change.

This might be true for scalpers but my approach is totally different. I don’t day trade at all because the market is too choppy to have success doing that in the long run. Starting on a micro contract I can trade bigger swings and assume smaller drawdown until the trade turns. I think the difficulty of the challenges is that people fool themselves into thinking they can outplay market making algos in this day and age. Very few can and it is far less than the typical 10% quoted in the stats about how many win in markets.

I’ve never understood why people want to YOLO their evals. Because how are you going to trade your PAs? It just seems like it’s promoting bad behavior. But I get that’s what keeps the prop firms in business 😂

Superb advice. Friday's action was unusual but it happens more regularly on FTSE and DAX. I call those Symmetrical Days. BTW, what do you used for backtesting?
