On full zoom, it's a little shaky. Uploaded as a different angle.

Black Mesa Snake

Unknown snake spotted on Black Mesa near Virgin, Utah. Unknown to us, that is. A king snake maybe? You tell me... At least it wasn't a rattler. :-)

A short video of a frantic colt trying to reunite with its mother on the other side of the fence, taken on Kolob Mountain, Utah.
Turkey Vultures Over Hurricane II

A more elaborate movie of the second manifestation of Turkey Vultures over downtown Hurricane, Utah. Forgive the tremor please... I'm essentially working on it.

We spotted these today. The noisy tourist bus insured all I got was their backsides, but it was a thrill nevertheless.
Golden Eagles flying in place

A pair of Golden Eagles we watched soaring above Hurricane Mesa near Virgin, Utah. The two were "riding the wind", not really hovering but soaring in place letting the wind hold them up in the air.

Short video of the fire threatening New Harmony, Utah today. The voice you'll hear belongs to a young man who just recently qualified for his firefighting certificate. He came over to say hello...

Flock of Turkey Vultures lounging in a tree in downtown Hurricane, Utah (with a cameo appearance by Mr. Darcy).
What terrible fencing.
And a colt who wants back to mom seperated with barbed wire. Experts at work 🥴😵💫🤤 I can´t understand the likes, for me a 👎👎👎👉👌
Why does he have a feather for a tail?
He just wants Mama and comfort
Financial considerations first, eh?
😮😮😮
Хороший ролик об участи порабощенных людьми животных. Давно лошади не нужны как тягловый скот. Так как есть машины, всякая техника.
God help him amen poor baby
That’s a good looking foal.
HOPE HE REUNITES GREAT FILMING THOUGH
He's settled down now. Glad he found his, mother perhaps? I hope so. Don't even like to think about how many young Colts find themselves suddenly taken from their mares! The confusion and fear must be overwhelming for them! Feel so very sorry for them.
Please don't ever let your faults go out like that by their cells around folding uneven ground and barbed wires that is just so taking a chance on having a horse break their legs that poor little fall you're very very wrong to do that I don't think you should own horses that's wrong and ignorant neglectful you don't belong in the horse ownership horses are family you took a chance on this phone running around loose where there's barb wire and anything ground is precious delicate horse shame on you
Wow! This little colt is fast! Sorry for him...starting to be afraid .like, "Mama???"
Look too young to be weaned.
I just fell for some ridiculous clickbait. Who decides, if true, to video this supposed separation and not help?
What a shitty fence. If the foal tries to jump it and gets caught, it will tear him up. It will the owners fault for setting up the disaster to happen.
Упрямый ребёнок - так и тянет его к этому месту...
Mom: Don't freak out again please All those ppl watching You're making me look bad
Weaning shouldn't be done all of a sudden. You should start with only a few seconds apart each day and slowly build the time apart, till the foal is comfortable spending hours away from mom. Remember to reward with plenty of pats and treats and happy words, loving them never hurts😄
Really we told our kids when they had their two old birthday cake the bottles would taste bad from then on.
@@ronniebishop2496 LOL XXDDDD That's amazing!
@@bjhorselover2016 Well I left out that we put salt in their bottles.
@@ronniebishop2496 Omygosh bahahahaha!!!! XXDDD
@@bjhorselover2016 hahahahaha
That fencing had me so anxious.
Oh, poor baby....
This is ridiculous ,dangerous and irresponsible, look at the state of the fence.
A beautiful horse 🐴
Why has this person got their phone in their hand instead of doing something constructive? What a jerk!
Little fellow looks lost. Poor baby
I think that colt has wings we can't see.
Take it easy little buddy - we don't need you getting caught up in barbed wire fencing. Those back hooves were getting too close to the barbed wire when you kick.
That's wrong to separate them..must had happen to you.
Wrong. Too soon.
I keep coming back to this every few years but he never gets back to his Momma. Bother.
If you keep horses , be careful about using wire . Rigid wooden rails are better
Junkyard horse owner
poor colt i hope he finds his mother
That's what I thought too. The headline makes you think that, like there's something wrong. But it's intentional, a foal getting weaned off its mother.
I ride horses but have never owned one. But even I know that fence is a HOT MESS. Goodness gracious.
This scares me to death.. I raised Appaloosas for years and the most dangerous time for a foal is weaning. I have seen babies run blindly into trees, fencing, Barns you name it. I’m glad to see that they have a babysitter (the grey Gelding) but I would never put them in a wire fence the first few days.. a round pen or small paddock with metal or wooden rails or ideally vinyl. Two or three days is the longest I ever had to leave one in a small lot. They typically settle quickly. It also looks like this baby is only a few months old, 3ish.. it’s simply my opinion but I feel it’s best to wait until 5 to 6 months depending on the foal.
I always wanted an Appaloosa, but never happened. You were blessed to be apart of their world.
Exactly
NOT the proper fencing for a young horse separated from his mother !
Do you even own a horse?
I do!! And it is DEFINITELY not the proper fencing for Weaning or leaving a baby away from their Dam.
Pobrecito!!!
My 8 month old is like 14 hands
Aww he's so cute
Help the baby find his mom
Animal cruellty, I hope you pay for it some day.
where did you saw animal cruelty?
For weaning the baby? I hope you know ALL animals do that, its not animal abuse. And you probably dont even own a horse.
technically this is not a colt, is a foal
Technically it’s either. Colt or foal is accurate. They are all Foals until one year old, and Colt or Filly until four years old.
So little baby? Why?
He’s thinking about trying to jump that fence.
Awww, help him 😭
Why isn't the foal with its' mother?? It's by itself in the paddock! They are herd animals! Cruel people!
It’s being weaned just like responsible parents do a baby? The mare can’t be sucked for ever.
That's amazing
Look at his fuzzy face.. poor guy
PEOPLE WHO DON’T HAVE HORSE 🤫
Well, so much for my 2 cents, lol!🤣
The white male horse looks thin and not properly cared for. Horrible fence.
Could be a walker, those horse breeds are naturally thin.
And you shouldnt go judging an animal when you saw it for a good 5 seconds.
