    The thumbnail shows an adult male orange morph Eastern Lubber Grasshopper (Romalea guttata). These large residents of the SE and Gulf Coast US advertise their chemical defensive capabilities with contrasting colors, and sometimes among adults, a warning display that includes hissing and expansion of pink accented hindwings. Nymphs are very gregarious, but they lose some of their social tendencies as adults. Adults are barely capable of flight, and all stages tend to move slowly, relying on chemical defenses, which protect them against vertebrate predators, but not against parasitoid flies or parasitic nematodes. In addition to the orange morph, yellow and black morphs also occur. Nymphs are usually black with orange and/or yellow markings.These grasshoppers have one generation annually. Due to their large adult size and ease of collection, they have been used as preserved dissection specimens in biology and comparative anatomy classes in NA for many decades.

    Are you kidding? Hairless apes know how to control FIRE? Not likely. And get your facts straight, the picture with the cooling towers is a nuclear generating station (you can tell by the vacuum building in the background). What you see is WATER VAPOUR, not smoke. There are ZERO emissions from a nuke plant.

    Rio is indeed the worlds most beautiful city but there are many mistakes in this video. Christ the Redeemer was not made to celebrate Rio’s 100th anniversary. The city was founded in the XVItg century. Also, Guanabara bay is not on the background of Copacabana beach. The bay cannot be seen from that beach.

    I don't know where to start, there exists around 55 species of gull in the world and only a tiny number of these ever interact with man's food excesses and have adapted to breeding on buildings. There are a number of freshwater breeding species, like the Black-headed Gulls abundant in your footage - these never breed by man - they do so on islands in freshwater wetlands. This video is pretty crap, footage is easy to obtain and paints a distorted view on this amazing family of birds.

    That was a very poor and shallow analysis, not even touching upon the nutritional values of vegan protein in comparison with animal protein and also all the anti nutrients from plants, pesticides, depleted minerals from the ground they grow on, GMO, hybrids, the vitamin and hormone depletion in a vegan diet and much, much more. Do your homework better next time.

    Please keep in mind that burning any hydrocarbons while in the stratosphere (where jets fly) will produce water. We sometimes see this happening, when conditions cause contrails to form. Water vapour is a greenhouse gas - and one that wasn’t put into the stratosphere before industrialisation. Stratospheric water doesn’t come back down quickly. Thus, even if your SAF were 100% free of carbon emissions (which it isn’t) and even if it were 100% of the aircraft’s fuel (instead of being part of a blend), you’d still be contributing to climate change with every flight you took. I’m not suggesting that aviation should cease... take a trip to do something that you love, or see someone you love... but please don’t allow airlines to mislead you into thinking they’re in any sense sustainable.

    • @prime8
      @prime8 Рік тому

      Absolutely correct, neither do we suggest such travel should continue ad verbatim. We are simply acknowledging that something has been done in the right direction but is not a total solution. The vapour trails we all see, are exactly what you refer to. Excellent point. Thank you for your comment.
