"Authentic Handmade Soba by Kyoto Craftsmen"
Soba is probably the food to which Japanese people are most attached nowadays. Some people even retire early from their corporate jobs in order to become a master who makes ideal Soba.
Originally, Soba was one of the poorest foods, a grain grown in barren lands, but it has become a favorite of the wabi aesthetic deeply nurtured in the Japanese people.
The concepts of Wabi are dry beauty and Chisoku (knowing contentment). Chisoku means “to find satisfaction in insufficiency and to sublimate insufficiency to spiritual enjoyment,” but it can also be translated as a sense of “affirming the ordinary, not the superlative.

Glad that you noticed that. The atmosphere that can only be experienced at that moment is what makes a tea gathering great.

That is exactly the essential feedback. The tea ceremony act of a host like a mirror, and the guest is left with a sense of inner tranquility. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much. Many of the Movements are genteel yet very reasonable. The most beautiful Movements have been pursued and remain today.

Thank you for taking a look. You commented on the hand movement, and this swaying is part of the technique used to apply subtle force to the brush. In calligraphy, even seemingly subtle swaying movements are an important element in giving depth and flow to the work. Thank you for your continued watching.
