i have a sirad cruise and the shading option doesnt even appear in menu my cmap discover wich says its compatable with cruise IS registered and updated…. anybody suggestions Plz..?

So it can't actually follow the contours, but you can have it follow a track you manually create? Minn Kota+Humminbird auto follows the contour lines, no manual input needed. Disappointing as this is simply a software implementation, no hardware development required.

C-Mor seems to have a lot better detail.

wtf looking at chart plotters and on one has cmap pro , what the hell is it dosent show on your web site so i can get more info on it , sounds like a bait and switch on the old chart plotters seen

The depth pellets and the custom shading are not working on my new HDS Live 12 that came with the unit. The shallowest color is the only one that will show up, for all color pallets and even custon shading. Any ideas of a fix or how to update the CMAPS + ?

The title says “Automatically follow C-Map Contour line.” Totally misleading. You had to plot the route manually. It followed your route, not the c-map contour.

Hello. I am considering purchasing C-Map Lakes West, Max N+. My unit is an Ti2. Will my fish finder provide the custom depth colors if I purchase this map?

I wish you would have shown how well the xi5 kept you on track. I'm running 2 Elite 9Ti's with my xi5, networked with the NMEA 2000, and I have yet to be able follow a pre-plotted trail. Given that I essentially have 2 computers onboard trying to talk to my motor, I'm convinced that there is some kind of miscommunication going on. I wish someone could address the procedures for going through each graph to make sure all the settings are correct to allow for unencumbered communication between the graphs and the xi5. There are a whole lot items, such as "Data Source" under the "Network" heading, to which no directions for settings are given. I'm convinced that a lot of the problems people are having with their NMEA 2000 system have to do with the proper computer settings. And, to be sure, there are many of us who expect to be able to press a couple buttons and hit "go", and the system will take over from there.

My 'Shading' option is grey out and cannot be selected. On lowrance elite 9 ti2. Suppose to be using C-Map but charge source says 'lowrance'

Did you have any problems with hds talking to your xi5?

good info but the video highlights a problem with all these displays. you cant see it well in the daylight. technology of the screens needs to improve in broad daylight, even at the expense of more energy consumption/amps. john

Has the mail-in SD card to get a paper map function gone away? I need paper maps.

Right now Garmin, Humm, and Lowrance all have a sceengrab feature for still images. The first company that allows for a motion capture feature (Native to the Contol Head) in .mov or .mp4 format to a mSD card will dominate the industry. The technology is there. Then....customers can edit on Mac or PC after downloading from mSD, load to youtube for training etc. and a whole economy around their sounder is created. C-map could still function and be viable, because contour maps are different. I am baffled why Lowrance is becoming more protective. IMO a Sounder and the logs I create are my intellectual property, just as a GoPro camera video files are my intellectual property.

......and then pay a subscription fee to view my own intellectual property at a decent level of detail...Ripoff...purchasing Garmin as soon as they resolve Transducer downscan issues. There is not even a free viewer to view my own logs....like Hummingbird and Garmin. Lowrance will continue to lose market share if they continue on this proprietary path...sad.

With a C-map Genesis subscription do you also get the C-map lake maps or is it only publicly created and personally created maps? How is C-Map different from the native maps in my Lowrance Gen3's OR Navionics?
