Go down to 75lbs. You’ll get almost the same fps and energy. It will help you draw back easier, looks like you’re struggling a bit

Great video work with awesome content. I have loved bow hunting for over 50+ years here in America. You guys are so very very fortunate to live there where there is some many different animals to hunt. Back before the earliest compound bows came along I used traditional bows and wood shaft arrows. There were no mechanical heads then. Just a few fixed cut on contact heads. I took many elk with pass thru hits back then with no problems. Mule deer were and still are one of the easiest spot/stalk deer IMO. But what I’m getting at is about arrow speed. I use a compound bow for about 20 years now and have found for me a speed of 275-285 max with a 410-420 grain fixed blade head is a good choice. I get pass thru hits nearly every time on deer, elk, black bear, antelope and pigs up to like 150#’s. On my deer shots from ground level I always try to break my shots to hit about 4-5” above the bottom hairline straight up the front leg. Same on elk. And yes I’ve had many lung hits because they dropped but also many heart or arteries above the heart hits. I only draw 62#’s at 28” as I gave up 70+ #’s because it’s not needed here on any North American game. I have always used two or four blade fixed heads. I have no idea of how many deer I’ve taken over these years and at 75 years old I’m still loving the game. Good Luck and be safe. 👍👍

The Lift never out shot the Phase 4.

After bow hunting for more than50+ years I’ve come to the same conclusion- just a good quality setup that is easy to shoot and therefore is more efficient at killing game. Although, on the target side of archery, I am well versed on the technical aspects of the bows and arrows. My favorite game is to take my basic hunting bow and go do some spot and stalk wild pigs. And whitetail deer and antelope in season. A simple 3 pin slider sight and a Carter Wise Choice thumb release. Expensive arrows and their proprietary parts are not worth the money. A mid-quality shaft will work better than 99.9% of the people can shoot. My still favorite bow for hunting is the Elite Ritual 33. It’s approaching 5 years old but never lets me down. I shoot it like it’s part of my body like an old .22 rifle shot hundreds and hundreds rounds through. You know where the arrow is going. IMO, so many archers change equipment too much thinking it’s going to bring home the gold with the latest greatest. Sure, the new technologies are awesome but one still has to just get outside and shoot the best shot they can every shot. 👍👍👍
