Silver Made in the late 70’s. What a great time for workmanship for Bach during this time. This is considered Lightweight due to the “Star” stamp on the bell. I made this video really quick to sell this Horn. No haters please. Enjoy.

Has no clue these even came off and quickly panicked to UA-cam to see if there was a fix. Great video thanks!
Thanks. I didn’t have a clue about how does it work.
Glad it helped.
The Argenta is not made of brass like most cornets and trumpets, it is solid nickle. It has a large bore and has a unique tone quality compared to a standard brass instrument. It is recognized as one of the best of the best.
It seems to be in good condition; not as beautiful as the one you have, but I got it for a bid of $151.00. Should receive it in a few days. Will give you an update.
Thanks. I'm bidding on one, but wanted to know how high I should go. Thanks for the demonstration. You have a beautiful tone and great range.
Depends on quality. Is it restored? A lot of love and labor goes into restorations. If not, I wouldn’t go higher than $600 unless it’s in great condition. A restored, likely goes $1,500-$2,000
La trompeta es profesional
It was a great horn. It’s sold now.
Thanks for posting this. Just reassembled my own Saturn Waterkey.
I have a Bach 37 ML 648059. Can you give me an approx. year that horn was made? Thanks
Cool stuff man! Can you tell me how long it takes to switch from trumpet to EWI. Althouh the fingering is the same you have to deal with the octaves and the left index finger.
How much is it?
Google?
@@elmanitasdeplomo Yahoo
I currently have the same horn...i am a comeback player after 20 years off. I have been practicing for two months, i do notice that the upper register in this horn is somewhat restricted. Am i correct?
Did you sell it? Probably a stupid question 2 1/2 years later...
John Kinsella Sure did
Cool video! I've got an 8310Z with M/K Drawing slides myself. I've been thinking of getting a valve alignment next so I'll look into Bob Reeves.
Let’s here the trumpet on the ewi bro ! Great playing
I saw this video was 4 years ago. Have you sold this horn yet?. Im currious to know how much those horns run. My grandfather had a nice custom conn trumpet. I didnt get it passed down to me when he passed away and so im looking for either the same features as his or something similar.
Hi, So in the evi mode, are you controlling the octaves with your left fingers?
Left thumb controls the octave. Left pointer finger splits the octave in two.
Где делают трубу ямаху 2320 с
First time I owned a trumpet with Saturn water keys Too release the spit do you just push any part of the plastic
Yes.
Beautiful instrument
I also have the feeling that a long, bright ringing bell is important. But it''s difficult to find research regarding the connection between the air column, sound and a long, bright pinging bell. Once such a trumpet as this one here falls the repaired bell will probably have no longer that ping??
What mods did you make to the SHew that you kept?
Did you sell it?
That was a fun Jam! Just posted on my other channel! ua-cam.com/video/_4m0nFzg6Mw/v-deo.html
Damn this is really good, lol I’ll never be this good
HYPER EPC It is so possible, take it one day at a time. Push yourself, you can do it.
The Trumpet Source thx I guess
NICE WORK!
Brilliant, well done!!
Vance W Thanks! This week was a fun challenge.
Flutter tonguing and a high shake! That was fun!!
What do you guys think? What Kind of EWI videos do you want to see in the future?
I recently used mine to play The Last Post & Reveille at our recent remembrance days. (video on UA-cam). Sound 12, Piccolo Trumpet. ua-cam.com/video/bWFgvZIpZ5Y/v-deo.html
#TrumpetChallenge Getting it done!
Congratulations, nice video!
Beth Harrelson Thanks! I had a great time making the video. Looking forward to each week’s challenge.
What cup size do you use?
I don’t know the exact size. This mouthpiece is cut from the GR Wayne Bergeron studio mouthpiece. Are used to play on the Marcinkiewicz Bobby shew 2 And it feels a little bit more shallow.
@@cameronsnyder1371 I use a 550CC
I play in a Bach LR43 and I just recently installed a Harrelson VGR kit on it along with a M/K drawing tuning slide and the Harrelson SWE Mod Kit. I’ve played long enough of the setup that I’m acclimated to it, but when I go back to other hours that are stock built, I can feel the difference in the instruments. My Bach with modifications feels considerably more stable and I’m able to pay much more efficiently with it.
Sorry, It's Called the "Five Bar Frenzy"! Haha, enjoy!
That's pretty dang cool! You should get some heavy caps to go with the jazz look!
Congrats on winning #TrumpetChallenge19! Cool stuff and great sound. I stayed away from 'shakes' because I thought it could disqualify my video by hitting notes outside of the 4 given, but obviously that was not an issue. Totally enjoyed your playing! Looking forward to seeing your future posts.
Nice work!
I made sure to Pan the audio so you could me hear more clearly. Left Speaker=Wood Shaw Right Speaker=Me You can hear it best with headphones.
I have a King Legend 2070 ML that is almost the same instrument I read somewhere and the Conn Vintage One should be close too. It is an instrument that I'm attached to. Yet it has some shadow sides. It feels open and sounds big nearby but in reality it projects moderate, it's rather dark. It makes it easy to play full soft melancholic phrases without any vibrato (good for certain film music ) and it's flexible and the scale is very even. I use the MV weights too to make it even darker so it blends very well with the amateur symphony I play in. The intonation is good but above the staff it depends on which mouthpiece you use, I noticed. Open high register but too dark to say it's just perfect for lead trumpet, I think, although that depends on the player of course. So perhaps well suited for jazz and film music?
Jean-Pierre De Vent huge sound. I’ve heard the Vintage One is good. Check out my recent videos. I have a Harrellson Trumpet that I’m in love with!
Jean-Pierre De Vent -If the Lead Player can handle a larger bore, it can do really well in a section. I sold this horn and almost forgot about it to be honest. I’ve moved on to some better things.
@@cameronsnyder1371 how's your Harrelson compared to this? Getting ready to pull the trigger on a Summit
Amazing transcription and solo Cameron! Also I’m completely jealous of your trumpet
Thanks Adam Elmur! Get you videos in and you can get a carbon Fiber one!
Congratulations!
Beth Harrelson Awesome! This is how I found out that I won!
@@cameronsnyder1371 Cool, glad I could help! :)
Nice work Cameron!
Harrelson Trumpets thanks Guys!
Sounding great man! Good job incorporating the pedal G.
You sound great! What horn is that?
I'm pretty sure it's a Harrelson Summit.
I bought a Harrelson Summit on eBay a few months back. I have the VGR Reciever and 5MM tunes in just for me and finally feeling great. I also play on a Yamaha 8310Z and set up the Summit with similar specs. Thanks Levi, you as well.
FailingAlarm29's Channel you got it!
Is it still up for sale?
No, I sold it on ebay. Sorry! Good luck finding one. Look for that star in the bell which indicates lightweight.
Thanks for showing this. I played an Argenta from my senior year in high school (1972) all the way through college and beyond. I traded it in in 1981 for A Bach Strad (43 lead pipe, star, lightweight bell.) I'm a much stronger player now than I was back then; I wonder how it would feel to me now?
Do you still play trumpet
Colin Kyger yes! I am just selling a few of my trumpets. How about yourself?
Yes I still play trumpet
How does this not have a million views
Bruce ALT the 2nd-haha. You know, not sure but I appreciate the comment! Share it and maybe it could!!! I have a Maynard Ferguson "faking" it video that actually has a lot of views.
