What Javed Akhtar saab said at around 31:00 is actually not true. He is right that untill or unless you have experienced the pain of hunger you can't write good poetry around it. Okay, but nowadaysor possibly in near future people and makers won't need some incredible poetry but something simpler and just above average. Very talented people would be jobless and very cheap non creative people will flourish. For popularity of that average content, there is always money to market it forcefully on social media.
If anyone who wants to explore his ideas more, you can read book titled supernormal stimuli by Deirdre Barrett
Elizabeth Parrish thank-you for all you do and for your exceptional thinking and bravery. The world needs more people like you. And yes, aging is a disease that needs to be cured.
Difficult to accept a machine in place of a human being.
Trivia : Shekhar Kapoor is Shabana azmi's, Javed Akhtar's wife's, ex-lover. 😅
correct!!
This is going to be epic.
There was no need for a subject expert in this debate. Nobody’s interested.
You cannot have a discussion on AI without including an expert who knows the difference between “general” artificial intelligence and specialised intelligence and how to bridge the gap between them. That remains the holy grail of AI. What these people are failing to understand is that the source or process of creativity is not important if its manifestation/end result appears the same.
But how would you answer to these arguments? ua-cam.com/video/FAhxlbqJQmM/v-deo.htmlsi=RfNAE8n4x4GxyYkJ
Technologies for human being how many% humans benefits from it.?
I always wondered why our gurus, Rishis, god's visited / meditated at high altitude. After all there were no safe paths to those destinations. Jungles and wild animals were in plenty looking for food, villages and shelter were very few and far in between, drinking water may not have been near by. Yet they found places from Mt. Kailash to Hemkunt to Vaishnodevi etc to "meditate". Were they looking for magic mushrooms, cannabis etc?. In their benign quest for mind altering chemicals via fungi and plants they were in search of the "creator"?. What else can we infer by the fact that they traveled thru very difficult terrain when there were almost no human beings around even at say 4000 feet. Why go higher. Was it a combo of rarified air and these plants/fungi that "connected them to their maker"? Most "gods" claim to be the son or messenger of The God. Were the Gods quoted in mythology on this substance which is known to produce images on the peripheral vision and voices that talk to the user. (Moses on Mt Sinai in exodus 20 and many others). I do not mean to hurt the sentiments or disrespect any religion, but there is a statistically significant corelation between the mention of these events in many or almost all religious texts. The talk was too brief but I guess it had to be for the audience it was targeted - unless the plan was to send them into a "talk induced trance". Looking forward to such talks on this fascinating subject and relatively newer research.
When sandel head to head with native english speaker it increase fun of program.....Indian by broken english fucking the entire taste of program.......indian are always using polish which is the sadest sight ever
In terms of AI, the Host is much more knowledgeable than the 4 guests.
most pointless intro in the entire history of mankind
The mysteries world needs to be discovered, discussed and debated. A good conversation
HI SIR WE WANT NEW MOVIE LIKE MUNNA BHAI PL FROM WORLD .
It captures the zeitgeist, quintessentially an American perspective on fast emerging the world, many of his theories are flawed and misplaced though.🎉
"Inside-out" or "outside-in", this technology is laying the infrastructure of perfect slavery.
btw sonu sir has sung more than 33 languages
I know, but instead of asking the guest for a bio like most decent places, this lady has just looked at Wikipedia.
Groomer didn't decent anything Marvin is a scum bag too All these ethne techne are scum

In Christianity. Jesus body disappears so they think body is soul. 🤷🏻♀️
This discussion reminds me of one of the stories written bye R. K Narayan masterpiece ' Malgudi Days' -,The Vendor Of sweets' .The foreign returned Son of this mithaiwala brought a story writing machine .One had to type few words to get a story automatically. The father was aghast! His objection was the same as of the present pannel." What about emotions!! " At the end The son failed in his endeavor. Interesting discussion!
I wish all your brain circuits a happy childhood 🥰
36:03 "Religion has to be put through the same rigorous standard of truth that science undergoes".. what a will power and confidence to make a such a bold declaration being a monk! The power of Swami Vivekananda. প্রণাম।
This was fantastic. ❤
I wish they could have normalized the volume.
Thanks , great program.
Shekhar Kapoor is on something.
Laudable effort from Shoma and team Synapse. Best wishes.
Biology, Philosophy, storytelling. Everything in one video.
fascinating talk. though, please forgive the skepticism, mayaverse sounds like another transmedia world with maybe inclusion of different mediums AR/VR except that it would grapple with important and urgent ideas in a 'sexy way'. which still seems like a bandage to systemic problems. and maybe this is just me oversimplifying and being unable to look at the larger picture. still, excited for maya!
viola
Kudos to Shoma for her leadership. Only she can come up with such a brilliant program. Her genius shines through!
It was a wonderfully organised event with deep thought provoking content. Our best wishes to the entire Synapse team 👍👍
Thanks, so glad to know you were there!
Great. Educative. Thanks
Congratulations and best of luck Shoma you are doing wonderful job
Its important to keep a check and balance in between the human conscious and the machine production.
Best of luck shoma
I like Transhumanism idea of AI humanity, because I feel this is second life chance to live into better future instead just live my sick life with health problems until the end of days 😊
What’s wrong with the interviewer. There is no sensitivity bone in her . Probing has its limits!!!
Mary A said “ if they can’t eat bread give them cake “ - other way round . Please have knowledge folks interview legends like Sridhar !
@@vidyakris77 I too felt that.
Sonu Nigam, Arijit singh, Atif Aslam, hariharan... Seriously singers born once in a millenium!!
Frankly Sonu Nigam is the only one that you can say is born once in a millennium.
What a terrible introduction. of the guests. It was embarrassingly bad. Describing Sonu Nigam as a "Trojan horse" was laughable. People need to look up these definitions before using them.
Atmah is present inside all living beings , Mind and Consciousness are different agreed. Materlisatic things like stones, water aren't consciousness so Consciousness can't be compared with AI. When all the living organisms with superior consciousness ( atmah) with the power of thoughts n desire we can really change the form of objects.
This man is a blessing to my era i'm living in now
Although not alot of time much was said.
In my view , there should be a limitation to innovation and tech.. advancement to certain threshold level. Especially, when such innovation leads to less job opportunities which , in the course of time, would lead to dangerous social disruptions. One can see the spectre of increasing no. of homeless people living on the streets of high tech cities of san francisco, los Angeles, New York in the US....
Sir! Wat u said make sense bt one cannot stop humans from thinking, creating & innovating coz it's innate human nature instead one can direct energies in a sustainable direction....
Very politely I would like to disagree to the ignorance these maestro showcasing. I understand that performing art is yet to be encroached by AI but apart from that AI is doing a fabulous work.
What I wouldn't give to have a great career with stability.....I'm out by the end of the month. 😢
Fantastic interview by Liz. Great points.
