The Boys attempt to make Beer in the Barn...
the snow outside for that brief moment looked so beautiful and I think your chicken wanted to go for a drive in the car💖
It was very pretty, but the snow never lasts very long here. Usually we have a flurry of snow in January so we might get some more! The Chickens would happily go for a drive i think!
I love doing that sort of clearance, very satisfying!
Very happy to have got it done. Now on to the next lot of jobs!
Comfortable looking chairs, and light plus airy dining room
Thank you! Yes, it looks a lot better now!
ivy is such a hassle. but good for you pruning back.
@@Francis-kw9ui We let it go on for too long really. Not finished yet!
That’s a lot of mess to clean up. You are making progress.
Certainly is, but this part is getting better. 💪
Another cozy cup of tea is always a good choice but good on you for weeding and discovering. Lol.
Can’t beat a hot cuppa on a cold day! ☕️
Another new subscriber... excited to see your progress! ❤
Thank you for being here! 💪
Hi. I'm new to your channel, and my passion is gardening. A tool I use often is my trusty pruning saw, which cuts through those thicker branches. You're doing a great job. From Australia 😊
Aw, thank you so much! 😍
For me it was better on the beginning
Too overgrown for us i’m afraid.
Personally, I would be pruning to ground level.
Each to their own. We didn’t want any of it back, so out they came.
@@LifeinaFrenchManorAgree, don’t want things that close to your foundation.
@LifeinaFrenchManor yay ! How hard were they to pull out? Happy dance
That was our line of thinking too.
Brambles are always tough. Never fun to deal with. The rest weren’t so bad.

Freedom of a Wealthy man. He can wear Tuxedo if he wants to.
Don't trust those Orli and Paul folk! They probably smell of langoustines!
Proper wrongun’s, the pair of ‘em! 😆
Is there room for one more, it looks nice there. Do I get breakfast in bed?
Only if you lay eggs! 😆

Bravo ! Keep it up. Never give in. 🇬🇧
Happy Birthday 👋🫶🇨🇦
Aww, thank you so much!
Wow its like a chanty town so scruffy we have never liked that part of France Normandie were we are is probably best place to live in France today it has it all 🍺🤠👍🏻
I agree, it really has gone downhill. The countryside is stunning, but not a fan of boarded up shops; it just screams neglect. Virtually no employment there which doesn’t help.
Welkom
Take me there
You’ll need an umbrella!
Nice!
Are those midday bells
Absolutely!
Great find well done on persevering with the cobbles all the best Budo
Thanks, Budo! Wish it went all the way along the building. Lovely to connect; just subscribed to your channel - looks ace! 💪💪💪
That Gum is very good firewood , has a lot of heat .
That’s good to hear! We need as much warmth as we can get in an old place like this!
How distressing this is to you and rightfully so!😢 It's never easy to come home and find this level of damage.😮 So sorry for the loss you are enduring, your trees, plants and material goods like your BBQ. But fortunately you have a good attitude and are handling it better than most, but that doesn't make it easy. I feel for you and others who are affected by these UN-natural disasters.😥 Please continue to Stay safe👍.
Grateful for your kind words, thank you; it wasn’t the best welcome home, that’s for sure! The insurance assessor is visiting next week, although they can’t replace our lovely trees; i think that’s what upsets me the most. There’s still a lot of flooding and severe damage over much of France; we got off lightly in comparison.
How very sad that you lost a big portion of your old tree, as well as part of the Chateau structure!😢😮 I hope everyone fared well and did not get hurt!❤
Thank you, kind of you. 🥰 Luckily we sustained minor damage compared to others in the region. Some people i know are still completely without power too.
@@LifeinaFrenchManor Ty for the update! I hope others get their power restored soon.
Your outdoor room is looking better each time you video it! The plants seem to anchor the look. Exciting to find the cobblestone 😊whilst doing the most unfavorable task of weeding!😢 It really looks nice, glad you uncovered it.😊 What else might be hiding around the French Manor??🤔
Thank you, glad you like it! I’d like to add some nice books on gardens and uplifting topics so that people can read when using the Archway, but i will have to wait until the damp, winter weather is over. The weeding never stops! 🌿🌿🌿
Ohhh I see. LAKO... makes you WAKO. I feel for you. I did the very same thing while assembling IKEA.
Quite possibly the fiddliest thing i’ve ever bought from Ikea! 😆
Neat ceramics and unique things at the new brocante! In that first brocante, I really ❤ that wide mirror with the gold frame! Nice set of beige chairs. The badger in the next shop was hallarious😂. Love the old orange hair dryer! May I suggest putting subtitles on your video so your viewers can read what is said? You are both very soft-spoken😊 and some of the content cannot be heard.
The badger could make the perfect Christmas gift for that special person! 😆
Spooky and Abandoned my Favorite!
It must be very spooky at night!
You are one hard working lady 👏👏👏
Thank you! ❤ Still the rest to do!!
New subscriber. I THINK YOU DID PRETTY GOOD FILMING . I’ve watched a lot of ones that were so bad it made me dizzy. Not this one. I went back to your first video and am watching in order 👍👍
Thank you. Please accept my apologies for the late response, i’ve only just seen this. 😊
Beautiful ❤️
You can get lovely bed sheets all designs and colours
Chamber pots …. maybe not called bidet’s …. But the shape is like a bidet….??? Yes… not high end items … a few might be !
They make great planters!
You've managed to brighten up that dark room with a bit of cream colour paint. I love your idea for the gold trim! It will look elegant when finished. 👍
Tablecloths and placemats should always be ironed out smooth. It degrades the look of the table and room. It gives off lazy vibes. If you can spend on antiques you can afford quality table linen and placemats. 🤥
Your channel was suggested to me by Google. Your property looks lovely. I would love to see more of it in more detail. Getting to know your story would be nice also. You seem to be running a BnB.
I will be doing some more videos on the Manoir, time permitting with the B&B; i’ll share our story one day! 🥰
Love those chairs♥️♥️♥️♥️
I’m glad you like them, we’re delighted we found them!
Why not buy the end of a roll of fabric? The end of rolls are much cheaper than the fabric by meter and they can have up to 10 meters of fabric You can get brocades, velvets and all kinds of fabric. Visit the fabric stores and have a damage there
Adore brocade and damask! I think i will have a search for fabric on the roll, see what’s out there.
Amazing!!!! My ancestors came from Brittany, Lambale , not very sure of the spelling, the Desmarais 😊 I would love to visit the place one day before I die 😀
We drove through the Lamballe on our way to pick up the chairs! Brittany is a stunning department, full of mystery.
Just started watching your channel. Enjoy it! Have a few decorating suggestions...you need a large arrangement in the middle of your dining room table and matching candles stick on each side Also you have too many small item on your side tables, always use 3 different size items on your tables not counting a lamp. Think of balance when arranging items on your furniture. Also you can look in the brocante for large table cloths. The sheet looks very cheap looking. Another idea is to get another nice table cloth and even though it may be smaller it will look nice over the sheets. Another thing that makes your table look and feel nicer is to go to a fabric store and purchase padded plastic to place under the table cloths It will also protect your table from water or wine stains. Hope you don't mind my suggestions. I am a decorator.♥️♥️♥️♥️😘
All advice appreciated! 🥰 I’m in two minds about the sheets myself. I was thinking about either a smaller, more ornate one in the middle, or beautiful table runners. I serve breakfast here so whatever i do end up using needs to be quickly washable. It never ends here! 😂
It sure looks lovely now
Thank you, still more to do though… my back wont thank me! 😆
You need someone to fill the buckets and you pour them half the time
Next time it may be better to do it over a weekend, that way i’ll have some help.
@@LifeinaFrenchManor at least just imagine the vascular exercise so good for you I used to be so fit but I retired at seventy since then I have developed Gout in my toes and there are days I can’t even walk but I am now taking cucumber juice let’s hope it works
Sounds painful, i’m sorry to hear that. I’m not a medic, but I’ve heard cherries can help; maybe there’s a supplement if fresh cherries aren’t available.
j'aime beaucoup le bougeoir cathédrale ,il existe également en pendule
C'est beau, n'est-ce pas ? J'ai vu des brûleurs d'encens suspendus dans des églises, mais pas de chandeliers suspendus.
It would be better to move your camera slower as it can be a bit dizzying watching it.
Oui. I’ve already been made aware by other viewers.
You definitely earned a rest! THAT was a lot of work. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! And you know what? I want to do the back garden now!
The chairs look very beautiful with your paint scheme.
Aw, thank you! I must admit i’m happier with these chairs. The dining room is looking more like i envisioned it!
