I would feel guilty adding to the traffic congestion here.
@thra5herxb12s : There is no congestion there. That’s the beauty.
Useful video but would like to hear your chat as you go along rather than some random pop music
@geoffwilliams7398 thanks for getting in touch and for watching. Also appreciate the comments. Its not how I’ve gone about filming these projects. But It’s something I can take on board.
Thank you for mentioning the time of year you traveled. So many others forget this very important bit of info. :)
@KatieMcManus : Thank you for watching. You are correct in that most of the time the time of year is missed out. I don’t always provide that info but will endeavour to continue to do do so.
It’s videos like this that are keeping me from going insane on this dark winters nights 😄 I enjoyed it and well done 👍🏻
@adrianstrand1120 : That’s very nice of you to say. Thank you for your comments.
Great video as always. Looks a good place to visit. Very jealous.
@TheWalkingKev Thanks again for tuning back in. Always grateful. I wasn’t going to post this little trip as Ive done a couple a few years ago. But I couldn’t resist. It’s a wonderful place to visit.
There is so much I love about this video! Thank you so much for sharing this! I love your eye for cinematic (example the shot through the grass or leaves and flowers or you walking off with all the little bugs (or fairies) flying behind you) it really makes the viewer feel the majesticness of this experience. I also really appreciate it around 29 minute mark when you were just sitting on the ground drinking your coffee, it really gives us, that feeling of the simplicity that you will need to adopt to be able to do something like this. Well done on your journey cowboy!! And thank you for fuelling that fire in me to do the same 🎉
@minding_our_gap : Thank you for dropping me a comment. And also for watching. I really appreciate it. Really glad you liked this video. It’s been a few years now since I embarked on my first ever long distance trek and it still brings back the fondest of memories. Even though I’ve done quite a few more. Chuffed also that you may consider doing this walk from watching the content. Thank you again.
I walked the Coast to coast last year and this video was the single best source of inspiration for the trip. So well filmed and edited ! And the music was spot on. I still watch this to stir great memories. Thank you Cowboy.
@djmccarten That is really nice of you to say! Thank you for such kind words. I’m really pleased that this video has resonated with you….. and that you still watch it.
Another great adventure well captured and edited. Looked a really good one. Those golden beaches and the blue sea, perfect.
@TheWalkingKev : Many thanks again. This was a great walk for me. I Intend to go back and spend some more time there.
First video of yours I've stumbled across and I must say it's great to finally find a youtuber that gives an honest , realistic review of the trail . A lot of content creator's tend to downplay the difficulty to boost their egos I presume and even one 'fastpacker' going home from bridge of orchy because the walk was "boring" . Really enjoyed the way your video was put together and how you address the audience at the perfect moments along the walk , a good combination of footage, music and commentary. Time to have a look at your back catalogue of videos now 👌
@JamieVauxnut1 : Very kind of you to say those things. I’m glad that video has been recieved the way it has. I think honesty is a far greater narrative than selling the everything is Rosy in the garden bit. Because that’s not real life. I love being out and about whether it’s walking or my other forays on the channel. Thank you for watching. Hope you enjoy the other stuff I’ve listed. Appreciate you taking time out to comment.
Great video,Winchcombe has some good shops to stock up on food and water 😊👍🧁
Thank you very much for watching. I shall pop back there and find out!
Thank you for sharing your adventure. Well done. I loved the trail as well. Scotland in general and this trail in particular are stunning!
@Buszkraftowski I’m glad you enjoyed the video and that you had a good trail walk yourself. Scotland is a stunning place. I agree
Thoroughly enjoyed your commentary, well done!
Appreciate the comments. Thank you for watching and taking time out to get in touch
Love to see the Cotswolds Highlighted. Lots of exciting places to visit
@richardsoper : It’s a glorious place! Well worth visiting! Thanks for watching!
There was (when I did it) an indian restaurant (Koloshi, with B&B rooms too, we stayed there) down by Dowdeswell for your day 2 food/water shortage. It is open at lunch time and from 5pm. Also at Bridlip (Day 3) a detour into the village will bring you to the Royal George Hotel for refreshments. On Day 4 if you opt for the longer route along the Stroudwater Canal and over Selsley common then it goes quite close to the Stroud Sainsbury's (otherwise you miss Kings Stanley on that route and it's a long hilly way to Dursley). Cam Long Down before Dursley is easilly the most challenging climb on the walk I think, and I have had both my feet go out from under me and mud toboggan on my back on that hill.
@sinbadwilmot417 : Handy hints. Thank you very much. Always good to receive information I wasn’t aware of. Also Thank you very much for taking time out to watch and comment.
Great video as always. Really captured the walk well. Not seen this route before, looked interesting and reasonably varied with some decent camp sites along the way. Great stuff.
@TheWalkingKev : it is a great walk.. despite my protestations! 😂 I’d definitely recommend it.
Nice one mate, I drove through the Cotswolds today then saw this video loaded when I got back! This is on my list for next spring. Doing the west highland way next month.
@jamesoutdoors.6450 : good to see you around! I’ve been itching to see some more of your content. Cheers for the support. Can’t wait for you to go on the West Highland way. You will love it. Good luck mate.
Cheers Del I really enjoyed that. Beautifully filmed and edited as usual. The Cotswolds is my usual Sunday ride out,and it was nice to see some new places I’m not familiar with.
Thanks for the continued support Lee. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, if I may give positive feedback, your own audio was set lower than music soundtrack, I kept adjusting volume, I don't do vlogs, don't know how hard it is but enjoyed all the same. Thx
@steveparkinson8887 : thanks for watching. Any feedback is gratefully received. I’m not easily offended. You are not the first to comment regarding the audio. I am looking into it. I am a quiet speaker any way. And I hear myself louder than I actually am. I edit through headphones so it’s always fine for me. I will look to fix this moving forward. I thought I’d cracked it on this one. Hopefully it didn’t detract from any enjoyment. Thanks again.
Well done on a great and detailed insight in what seems to be a gruelling walk in sections and in mixed weather. Looks like you had a smashing eight days. Hope you didn't have to walk back to your car. Love the look of those old churches and stately home. Sixty four fifteen.
The walk would most definitely suit you with regards the architectural vistas on show. Looks like you still have it! 64:15 indeed 😂
Another great watch! Some stunning countryside. Your updates are a little quiet mate, not sure if it's the mic.
Thanks for the comments…. I think in all honesty it’s me rather than the Mike set up. I always hear my voice louder than it actually comes across. I shall amend that for the next video….. I’m just quietly spoken 😂
Really well put together video as always. Looked like you packed a lot in.
@TheWalkingKev Many thanks for coming back and having another watch. I used to do this type of thing long before UA-cam made it an EDT. The secret for me is the hop on hop off bus. If you can get that. The city is your oyster. Appreciate the comments. Thanks again.
I make the road trip wolverhampton to Unst twice every year back up again in September :-)
Now that’s something to consider! It’s a great place to I can see why you do!
@thecowboycamper1195 I come up to see the Aurora borealis it's visible in Shetland beginning of September on most clear nights
Oh that’s something I’ve not yet done this low down. I’ve seen them in Iceland before. It’s something I might think about doing next year as I need to complete my trip and spend some time in Orkney.
Shetland is the only part of the Uk in the Aurora Oval so it's normal to see it there at 60 degrees north
Cheers for the info….. oh well … a revisit to Shetland it is☺️
Hi how long did it take from Winchester to Exton
@damien2655 : I honestly cant remember. However I walk at a pace of 3mph at my quickest. The distance to Exton I believe is about 10-11miles so it would have taken me around 4hrs to 4.5hrs with stops. It all depends on what your personal pace is.
I remember before the bridge thumbnail. There was a ferry. Always a queue made worse when I turned up in a motorhome. Coach built body on a Transit chassis cab. Normally 4 cars per trip. But because of the need proper weight distribution the I had to be in the middle of the turntable. Ferryman & other people in queue not happy.
@davecoooer3238 : I would say. It doesn’t matter! There are no rules to how you go about enjoying your time. Whilst you are there you are bringing well needed funds to an economy. And more importantly…. Enjoying yourself. Thank you for watching.
@@thecowboycamper1195 But it did matter. I not one for causing problems for people. But as they say. What goes around comes around. My five year old daughter received a bite from a donkey. It went septic. Also these days some of the locals are not keen on the NC500. People have been causing mess. I photographed a sign & trowel in a lay-by put there by the council. It asked that people use the trowel to bury their excrement but take their toilet paper home. One section of society that is pleased about the route is the motor trade. People in vehicles without spare wheels are needing recovery. Just dropping a wheel off the road can end up needing recovery. High end sports cars sports car with suspension damage are also a nice little earner. On single track with with passing place sections just getting the recovery vehicle to the incident can cause further holdups. Don’t get the locals started on homes being purchased by outsiders at prices they can’t afford. Then going as short term let’s. Forcing locals out of the market. Which in turn raises the average age of residents. That brings it’s own problems. It’s not just people in Barcelona, Amalfi Coast etc who are fed up.
I hear you
Great video. Love it there so much we are moving there. Wonderful people and stunning place to be. If you head that way again let me know and come for a coffee and we have a great place to camp by the beach. You may get a seal or 2 come and watch you though. 😂👍
@adrianflowers4560 : Firstly Thank you so much for watching the video and taking time to get in touch. I can see why you would want to move there. It’s a place I’m definitely going back to. And secondly with that in mind. Thank you for such a kind offer of hospitality. So kind. And I would love to accept next time I’m that way. Really grateful for the contact. 🙏
Great video, visited last year, such a beautiful place, just remember good walking shoes and waterproofs - you’re good to go. On the ferry we had a pod, it was cheap, quite comfortable and offers a degree of privacy, also access to private showers, it’s a good option if you want to travel cheaper.
@janewalters9281 Thankyou very much for watching and taking time out to get in touch. I agree totally. It’s a beautiful place. I will be going back and taking a cheaper ferry option. I have to do Orkney first! Thanks again.
Well done sir, lovely work 🏴
@roddymcniven8734 Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.

@wandering_not_lost :many thanks for watching.
Great video, production and trip. Did the Heb way as a backpack in 2017, hoping to get back
@stevekerr8974 Thanks! Hope this was a little reminder of your exploits. I aim to go back in the near future. To cover some of the ground I wasn’t able to whilst doing the walk. Thanks again!
I've just completed the Coast to Coast and been watching some videos to reminisce already!! Really likes your video and style of it along with the music. Thanks for sharing and helping me re-live it all. Great walk, memories for a lifetime.
@dawnthird2538 congratulations on completing this walk. I hope you enjoyed every minute of it. I certainly did mine! Thank you for watching and taking time out to contact. Really pleased this video went some way I to bringing back those memories for you.
A pleasure to watch. Plenty of useful info for those interested in making the trip.
@vgfscott : Gladbyou think so. Really pleased you have enjoyed the content and have taken time to comment.
Just subscribed to your chevron mate after watching your c2c video. Great content pal. I'm going to try it next year over 13 days prob. Give the Cleveland way a try.. if you haven't already
@leebailey287 : Many thanks for watching and subscribing. Really appreciate you taking time out to make contact. I really recommend the C2C.. I might even do it again at some point. Thanks for the recommendation regarding the Cleveland way. It’s on my list. However I’m about to do a short 100 miler along the Cotswolds way in a couple of days time and then onto the Camino de Santiago later this year. So fitting stuff in might be a problem. If you liked the C2c perhaps you might cast an eye over my South Downs way walk, west highland way and Hebridean way walks. I had just as much fun on those. Thanks again and good luck for next year.
When u put info on screen, maybe keep it there a wee bit longer, loved ur vid but a bit too fast at times, all the best
@steveparkinson8887 thanks for the comments. All taken on board and fully appreciated. These videos are a learning process for me as I’m self taught. Really happy to hear any critique that will make the content better. Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice video! I am in the process of walking this in stages, sadly I don't get enough time to do a through hike at the moment. I recommend the Cotswold Way, Ridgeway and Hadrian's wall path too. And if you make it to my neck of the woods, the Wicklow Way.
@sinbadwilmot417 : Thank you for your recommendations. I do plan to do the Cotswolds way at some point this year. Along with some other projects. Doing a walk in stages is a good thing to do. Especially if time is an issue. Cheers for watching and taking time to comment.
Love love your video,I am doing it next month and I hope to do it justice
@brendonduriez2403 : Glad you liked the video. Good luck with your walk next month. Hope the weather is good to you.
Brilliant video mate
That’s very kind of you to say! Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to make contact. Really appreciated.
Loved the Guiness brewery shots. Didn't realise it was so extensive inside. And to get to pour a pint! Nice.
It’s surprising how much time you can spend in that place! lol
Thank you for a lovely video - very interesting and some of your comments sparked many thoughts of my own. Shared experiences brings the best out in people - Bravo - wonderful and sadly missed by so many.
@MrJezster : Very kind of you to say! Thank you. Glad you enjoyed my little trip. Thank you for watching and taking time out to comment.
Excellent video which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks.😊
@Turner7834 Glad you enjoyed it👍. Thanks for watching. And getting in touch. Much appreciated.
Great video...very informative. I found the section across Rannoch moor very hard on the feet. Just a pity the weather wasn't better for you as the view from the top of the Devils staircase is beautiful. You ever think about doing the Cape Wrath trail?
@markgourley3745 Glad you enjoyed my exploits. Unfortunately the weather is the weather. Can’t have it all! My coast 2 coast was glorious. But ever since that. I’ve had moments of bad weather. But it’s all in the gloriousness of these long distance walks. I have thought about cape wrath. And it might. Be something I consider. However there’s only a small section now that I haven’t completed. This year I hope to do a bit abroad. But we shall see. Thanks again.
Really good but can I ask what time of year please?
@user-bc2fu9vd8g This walk took place from the last 2 days of July through the first 2 weeks of August. If that helps. Thank you for watching.
@@thecowboycamper1195 Thank you very much. Looking to do this in April. Tesco car park a very good tip.
