a bad model that doesn't work properly which is why I do not use midi controllers

I have an American DJ SDJ-1 twin SD card player that I can plug in to the two line ins and also can use my phone as a last resort. So I have my bases covered.

you need to update the firmware. most importantly, you need to get traktor because VDJ suxx and to everyone who tells you to get new midi decks tell em to suck a chode. the vms4 work great and it never fails me. just get traktor! you will never regret the switch!

@madwarks well of course you are entitled to your opinion, but as this video is 16 months old and was recorded within weeks of the VMS4 hitting the market AND being response to AA and Atomix asking for a video to show the issue, I can't agree with you this time ;-) Also, I returned the VMS4 shortly after and am now the proud owner of a Denon DN-MC6000 which also operates as an external mixer and I have to press cue all the time...

@madwarks Did you even expand and ead the update? There is an expected behaviour with regards to "Auto Headphones" which was not being reproduced by the MIDI mapping. This was valid - at the time - as before the firmware update there was support for "Auto Headphones" but with issues (see my other post). After the firmware update the support for Auto Headphones disappeared, which this video was demonstrating.

p.s. your a numpty for even posting this. your just too lazy to press the cue buttons

the vms4 works as an EXTERNAL mixer and the cue buttons are manual just as on an analogue mixer. there's nothing wrong with your vms4 or vdj

i have the digitech AM4252 virtual dj controller n my cues are buggin up to when ever i press them they do nothing

@djcooldave as explained below. You need the latest firmware.

lol all you have to do is install the software that it came with. when you install VDJ LE you get the firmware updater and the aiso drivers

@Corneloues ur cheap hardware and non-professional software... traktor kontrol s4 is built rock solid with no problems what so ever, and no virtual dj...

@Uhyggepianisten Yes a firmware update was released and fixed this problem. As an analogue controller only certain aspects of the controllers actions are reflected on screen. EQ and volume faders are, by default, hardware controlled not software.

@SaxManDanDotCom There was no solution at the time. Hence a firmware update was required and subsequently released. I talked a lot because I got feedback from Atomix and AA that I said nothign in the other video!!!

@majicalpig This video is 7 months old. I was working with Atomix and AA to solve some problems that we found days after the launch. It was because if these videos and feedback on the forums that the firmware was released, which is why you are now having so much fun with the VMS4 ;-)

@abiehl88 Obviously not as the my laptop clearly shows Virtual DJ when I start the software. I am usign the MixLab V3.1 skin.

@rollingthunderdj Read the description. This is a troubleshooting video which helped Atomix and AA to fix a firmware problem shortly after the launch of the VMS4

@jah2305 Save as an external playlist in your \Documents\Virtual DJ\Playlists folder and it will appear in Virtual DJ

@ghettostar31 You need to use the advanced config under the Sound setup tab and set the "Record Lopback" ti "Inputs 1&2". This is the correct setting for recording and broadcasting on the VMS4. This will ensure all internet and external inouts and mics are routed back to Virtual DJ.
