@theotheralan5511 it's not a terrible option, though even better is that some lgs will do "chaos draft" boxes where it's just 24 random packs in a box, I feel like set variety leads to more interesting cards, but if you want doubles then a regular booster box is perfect for creating a cube

I asked my local game store and got some, most of the last video was rares, so I wanted to try cards that are (theoretically) weaker to start with, there's also rares I'm not using, I got a whole bunch of universes beyond rares that I'm just not that into, I feel like just throwing doctor who in randomly would be weird yknow

@lyndsaypeters5981 I know there's also bulk on Amazon, this one company does 1000 cards including 20 rares and 20 foils for like $30 which isn't terrible.

@georgeplymale8644 when a company can not keep a game alive, the community takes it upon themselves to do it themselves, I believe the newfound prevalence of proxies and fan formats show the communities dedication to a game, and their dedication to enjoy no matter what the corporate entity that prints the game supports.

@@luzif0r you win can be a problem, bigger problem is any ability including opponent losing life like "target opponent loses 2 life" can be sharpied to "target opponent loses" which is pretty brutal

The reason is that state change effects all happen on the same layer (7b I believe) so they will apply in timestamp order. So if you already have the emblem, then activate Blink Moth Nexus, the emblem will apply first making Moth a 9/9 then Blink Moth Nexus's ability will apply making it back to a 1/1. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I would hope I'm wrong because it's a funny combo.

@pitpiccione1191 yeah, that's kind of been the goal with the series, I also just really like finding cards/strategies that wouldn't work in those disgustingly competitive formats and building decks around them cause they're cool. I don't often get comments, but if you're into this this casual kind of deck building I'd love to know if there's any cards or strategies you think would be cool build arounds.

@@mtgman558 yup, so those people not playing the big splashy titans are missing out on powerful double triggers on very powerful effects. Not only that, even if they counter the summon, it won't stop the triggers since it is on cast. A cool interaction with the new Emrakul is if the summon is counter, the trigger will still happen and you permanently steal your opponent's creatures.

I believe that's pointed to friends forever and doctors companion, choose a background has specifically different wording, a companion is still an option, but the wording "additional commander" leads me to believe you can have a commander, background, and additional commander as the partner text states "you can have two commanders" limiting you to two at any given time. As long as the background is counted as your second commander, you should be able to have a 3rd additional.

Finally my kasla has the missing G it wants) (Also could pair with Emmara, soul of the accord, or radiator, coalition warlord, or Wylie Duke, atin hero, or Zar Ojanen for Blackless convoke)

My deck holder holds 6 deck so I'm bringing two bazooka decks that are highly synergistic in zone and thus more powerful then casual My choices: Jodah the unifier + morpion the boundless (also like abanddon, the despoiler here) Jodah the unified + Atraxa, Grand Unifier (massive draw +cascade lol) Jodah the unifier +Kellen the kid (op combo in zone) The first sliver + morphion the boundless Chulane + Uro, titan of nature's wrath Shioldred, the apocalypse +siezan, prester of truth (to stay mono Black) Shieoldred, the apocalypse + Niv mizzet, parun. ( I also like lotus god here but that's less powerful in cmd zone) Commander guff + freylasies,llanowar fury (planswalker deck that spawns manna dorks, blackless, and has 2 planeswalker in zone) Different power level but i think are fun Calamity, galloping inferno + Ghired, concave exile (free copies of non legends that stick around with layering stack) Lord wind grace + omnath, locus of creation (landfall +land recursion) (plenty of options here too, yuriok for double landfall, muldrotha for even more recursion, locus of rage for more wide, soul of windgrace... for the ohs,)

(Etali primal storm + Etali primal conquerer) Poulkinos reborn + zaxara, the exemplary (or magnus Lucia kane) The wise mothman + The master, Transcendent (Or the mycrotyrant, or Tasha, or the mymioplasm)

The game has 13+ stapled onto every package its aimed to teens, not children, while I agree there's a time in a child's life when sexuality has no Part in their life, 13 to the later teen years is when sex ed is taught, they know it exists, it's not hurting anyone, it's no big deal cause it isn't a deal at all.

Holy shit appealing to a certain audience is a way to make money, even though it's an event for a casual format where wizards won't get any money besides the lgs buying inventory, who'd of guessed it.

It doesn't matter who you are to play magic, it's just a bit of fun, and celebrates a group of people who are part of the community. It's not like the event is limited to just people of lgbt+, anyone can go.

Manabox, its really solid and constantly updated, there's certain limits if you don't have premium tho (it's like 2 bucks)
