Roaming Southern Norway
Norway
Приєднався 10 жов 2012
Hello guys.
Well, I guess the name speaks for itself - Roaming Southern Norway - although I do other stuff too. I love hiking, camping, and everything outdoors, in the woods, by the sea, or in the mountains. As a child, 9 years of age or so, I was a Boy Scout here in Norway, but I left the movement at the age of about 19.
The interest and love of nature I never left. The reason I started this channel was as a motivation to become more active again, so my first videos are bike rides. As I progressed with editing and ran out of interesting places to ride I took to the forest, and here I am. The past year (as I'm writing this 24th April 2023) I've gained a lot of confidence and feel that I really am getting the hang of this UA-cam thing! I tried with an Instagram account too although that wasn't for me.
If you happen to be in the southern part of Norway, please contact me at roamingsouthernnorway@outlook.com
and I'm sure we'll find something fun to do! D

This time, however, I was able to fully experience the beauty of the trail. I h...

One day, a curious traveler entered the forest at dusk, unaware of the sacred time, and became lost in the enchanted woods. The tale teaches that dusk is a moment of great power, when the forest paus...

Walking through the forest where I used to play as a child evokes a feeling unlike any other hike. Despite having explored more of these woods as an adult, that sense of nostalgia and wonder remains unchanged, no matter where I go. This evening, I ventured to a series of ponds and was fortunate enough to catch the last rays of sunlight before they disappeared behind the trees. On my way back, I...

( ͡⚆ ͜ʖ ͡⚆). Wonderful content,🤩🤩🤩🤩 my friend! I really enjoyed it. Those videos are impressive! ( ♥ ͜ʖ ♥)👍💯
This amazing place
The thing is having that friend to talk to. Plus, sometimes, if you rely on that friend, they get fed up with you sharing. Plus friends come and go. Sharing with a friend one week can be the ammunition for an enemy the next. In principle, I agree. Amanda is my rock. We share everything. She is someone I trust with my life. I have been burned before by sharing with others. That aside, another great podcast Martin. But will you be getting to grief, not only the grief of losing someone but the grief of knowing you will lose someone. I experienced both with my Mum. My Dad is 94 this month. I have all that to look forward to, sadly. Just ideas for you. Plus, there is grief from a lost love or relationship. Like I say, just ideas. I love the podcast Martin. Keep up the great work.
Thanks alot Chris! Everything is hard really. To your question.. Yes, grief is on my list 😊
@@RoamingSouthernNorway thanks. Look forward to it.
👍👍. Hi, my friend! 🤗 Just wanted to say thanks for sending over that beautiful film! It really made my day! 👍💯
Wonderful hiking adventure vlog! Keep up the fantastic content uploads, friends! Take good care of yourselves too~
Thank you so much 😊
It is always great to see one of your videos appear in my feed. The weather is definitely on the change. I saw a video of Oslo, too. Winter is coming. There is nothing quite like a toasted sandwich to warm you. I bet you cooled down quickly on the top after sweating so much. It will soon be time for perpetual dusk. How many hours of sunlight do you get in the depth of winter Martin. I didn't know you were on Reddit. I learned another thing today. I thought Norway had just one language. Another beautiful video. Thanks for sharing, Martin. I like your content as it is. Those Instagram people with perfect channels are too false for me. I like reality, and I love your channel. Never change. Thanks again for sharing and have a great week.
I honestly thought I replied to this 🫣🤦🏻♂️ haha, anyways, it was a good time anyhow 😊 I was actually a bit cold when I came back to the car, but I, never notice until it's "too late". I've been on reddit for... 6+ years or so 😅 I won't change in other directions than those who fit me and what I want to show.. And that genuine stuff not some super edited fake imagery 🥳🥳😁
Fin tur 👍 😊
Excellent share
😍😍😍😍😍🤩🤩
Like and greetings from germany.
Hi Mr. Norway, I am glad to see this gorgeous picturesque hike after the latest film. Various fall colors through your drone footage prove them gems. A man spends time for himself with a mug of coffee at the destination. Talk to himself? Listen to himself? Unwinding and rejuvenizing And now he brings his positive attitude to his family Great work, Mr. Norway.
Lovley comment my friend! I spend my time reflecting and pondering on everything and nothing😊
You do need to take some time for yourself. Self care. You certainly have a busy time leading up to winter. It was definitely very wet up there. The Lake was a beautiful place. Great place for a wild camp that's for certain. That dog was beautiful. It seemed like he wanted to go home with you. Did you find out the reason for the echo? Thanks for sharing Martin.
Yea it was! Usually I don't like dogs without a lead like that, but it didn't bark once. The echo is apparently a feature on the wireless receiver.. Why.. I don't know 🤦🏻♂️😅
Mr. Norway, Another gorgeous hike with picturesque bird-eye views I totally missed fall foliage in Norway. Leaves are gone... The land is saturated, but plenty of pleasant sunlight keep you warm in spite of wet feet. Having lunch with the view of lake is priceless. I am totally sold. Great selection of music , I reckon. Well done. Apologies for my absence, due to natural disaster, I am still away from home evacuating. The major river through the city was flooded 30 ft above than the normal. The city is paralyzed by it and still working on restoring the water system after a month. I have not had a chance to your new project, pod casting.
The autumn has these things with it.. Storms and alot of water, disasters etc.. It's horrible!! Look at Spain now, it's really sad!! Glad you're safe 😊😊
Fin tur og video 👍 Ønsker deg en fantastisk kveld 😊
beautiful place nice sharing ❤😊
Have a great day
That was not what i was expecting but had my full attention throughout the story. Such a beautiful country too.
Thanks for nice sharing. Have a nice day See you later
I've listened three times tonight, Martin. Forgiveness is a hard thing, especially when people are still trying to pull you down. But I'll give it a go. Thanks for sharing.
So so true! Thank you for listening!
Wonderful nature forest places, hike, autumn views. Thank you for video share. Video 👍
❤ excellent
9:09, we've been here before haven't we? Another great video Martin. Autumn is definitely upon us. Magnificent views as always. SAD affects a lot of people. Lamps have found to be effective. I hadn't realised until recently that you can get SAD in summer too. I really need to get out on the hills again soon. Thanks for sharing Martin.
The route I hiked to the top I've never tried before, so no that particular spot is new on this channel 😁 but it does look similar to a spot in one of my recent hikes 🙂 Haven't been able to go out as frequent as I want these couple of weeks due to bad weather, hopefully it'll change soon 😅😁
@RoamingSouthernNorway hopefully I'll be out soon too. I do miss it.
Fin film og tur 😊
Away on a Cruise Martin. Will catch up on my return.

Nice video. Thank you for sharing 😊
Really Impressed
Excellent share
Thank you so much 🙂
@@RoamingSouthernNorway take care
There is nothing quite like visiting places from our youth and thinking back to the fun we had and how innocent we were. To be honest, I didn't see any difference in not having the mic until you hit the Peak with the beautiful views. It was only then that you could tell the difference, and that was only because of the wind. Autumn is definitely upon us. Another great hike, with beautiful views, and drone footage, Martin. Thanks for sharing.
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling Thanks Chris.. It sure does bring back those nostalgic moments. Note that I spoke louder without the mic and tuned the audio up 50% haha 😅 anyways, I'll try to remember to charge everything from now on 🫣😅
Nice video. Have a great evening 😊
I remember that guy on UA-cam who hated me so much that he complained to you about me. I heard recently that he had been ranting about my increase in subscribers. I don't know why I have evoked this hate. Perhaps jealousy at my success. But I'm still not earning a penny, so I don't really understand his hate. But to be honest, I had forgotten all about him until I heard he was angry with my subscriber count. But if he is hating me, then he isn't hating someone else. I have blocked them on all media, so I have no knowledge as to what they are doing, but a person I had blocked sent a message via someone on my last hike. It seems that they have created extra accounts to keep an eye on me. Strange people. But until I listened to your podcast, I had forgotten about them. That is the way they will stay. Out of my mind. But if they want to continue their hate, then they can. It is not affecting me one bit...... anymore. Thanks for sharing, Martin. Another great episode.
Aah yes I remember that guy.. Never heard anything from him after I confronted him though. Hate is a strong emotion, and should be taken seriously and dealt with in the right way.
Happy Autumn well done here be safe have a great week cheers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Best of like so relaxing nature 😊
I believe this is the first time we have actually seen the drone launched. It is nice to revisit places from our youth when we had no worries and no responsibilities. It's a beautiful spot for a coffee and another great video. Thanks for sharing, Martin.
Late reply, but better late than never 😅 I have filmed the drone launching a few times, but the footage never really fits it unfortunately 😊 The only bad thing about the spot I chose to rest at is that the sun disappear rather early 🤷🏻♂️😅
nice movie,👍 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯+1👍 thank you for taking us along ☺
Fin tur 👍 Ønsker deg en fin kveld 😊
I hope you have fully recovered from your cold now Martin. I've looked up Autumn in Norway and it's from 1st September. It feels strange that we are so close in distance but have different starts for Autumn. Being further north it will hit you first too. It has done nothing but rain the last couple of days over here too. Lots of flooding. They told us global warming will be hotter summers and colder winters. Our summer was about 2 weeks this year. Yes, man does destroy everything he touches. No landscape is left unchanged. I had single expresso coffee once, and I had two cups. I thought I was having a heart attack. My pulse was that fast. It made me feel that bad. It could be an elephant 😂. The views were amazing as always. Will you be walking out to Denmark on the ice this winter, or doesn't it get thick enough that far out? Another great video, Martin. Thanks for sharing.
Autumn is beautiful! Although I hate the rain and all 😩 I think I've built up a rather hight tolerance for caffeine.. Probably not so good for things inside the body, but I like the taste and I don't feel any side effects so I see no harm (yet haha) I think that if we get as cold winter as we did last year it's definitely safe to walk out there! 😅😁 I have had hopes of doing a canoe trip or two but it takes a bit more to do than a normal hike.. With the canoe I need to usr the trailer and carry the canoe to the water etc.. It feels like too much work doing alone unfortunately. Thank you for always being here (and there) Chris! ❤️
Красиво!😮
Stunning mountains Martin. Winter is coming!
I think the closer you get to death, the more you want to believe in something more. The thought that you have been through all that heartache and suffering and there is nothing else seems so unjust. As for legacy, I just want to make sure that Amanda is financially comfortable after I've gone. I'm basing that on her age against mine. Another thing you think of as you get older is sin. I'm agnostic, but, if there is a God, then I've had it. But going forward, I have tried to live my best life. Hopefully, by doing that, it balances out the negatives. When you are younger, you see yourself as immortal, but life passes in the blink of an eye. It seems only a couple of years ago that Amanda and I got together, but in reality it's over 22 years. Grief is a big one. I've lost people before, of course, but always part of the extended family, not the core family. It isn't until you lose someone really close to you that you truly understand grief. It does get better day by day, but it doesn't feel that it ever will at the time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Martin and this podcast.
I don't know how i missed this one. Yes, you are right. I think we spend so much time being the man of the family and caring for others that we neglect self compassion.
Brilliant choice of music too.
The colours of the trees in the evening sun is beautiful ❤
It certainly was a slippy one.
It was very slippery some places! 😓😅
Amazing place to hike 🌿💚🌱
And a great hike it was too.
Mr. Norway. Definitely, I enjoy the colors along the trail. You stood atop of the mountain in triumph celebrating your victory with a cup of coffee. ha Your drone footage truly amazes me displaying the beauty of the rock formation, and landscape of Norway. Lime stones? Your perfect selection of music really intensifies the mood of the vid. Well done. Love it.
Mr.Norway, Plenty shower of the evening sunshine makes the mountain view so different beyond the extraordinary from my perspective. Wow I thought your drone may crash in to the top of the trees. very cinematic. The horizon line changes colors to the gold. You must have tasted your coffee special in a way. well done.
Mr. Norway. I see a sign of autumn approaching to your place in Norway. The trail is saturated in some places. oh no. Wow, ferns changed colors. Definitely, I started to see dressed mountains in red, yellow, gold, purple, and brown here. Beautiful bird-eye view paired with your thoughtful selection of music enhance the mood of your film. Well done. I truly enjoy it. I am back home from Mr. K's BD celebration. My comments may be vague, boring, and short for a while due to the conflict with yt gets worse. My comments are disappearing.
Nice video. Wishing you a great evening 😊
