登場人物の成長をこれほど強烈に主張する作品は、テイルズシリーズでもなかなかない。 だから、序盤～中盤あたりの胃がキリキリする展開が続くのは結構疲れた思い出がある。 ゲームの戦闘システムは好きだったんだけどね。

Just finished this after fifty hours. It was my first tales game and wow. The story, the characters, the word building, it was so unbelieveably good and I‘m so happy I was able to experience this blind. The greyness of the characters choices and the fact that not everything turns out for the best with the characters being full of regrets and trauma, but still willing to do the right thing is so brilliant. A piece of art. I‘m scared to try another tales game just because I know it will be almost impossible to trump the experience I‘ve had with this game. Surely one of my favourite games of all time, and I‘m so happy I can listen to this opening to reminisce about my adventure

Frrrr Remake Laaaaah

I'mma be honest, I remember having a sort of "grudge" against Tales of the Abyss. You see, I'd really only played Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia, the latter of which continues to be my favorite game ever, and I didn't have a PS2, so up until the time I played Abyss, I kinda scoffed at it. It was super childish of me! lol... Like imagine someone looking at X or Y game on a console you don't have, and hearing about how much it freakin rules and well... yeah it's kinda like that haha. Anyways, I eventually got around to getting a PS2. It was actually "late" into its lifecycle... as I recall, it was around the time of PS3's launch (and I say "late" cause I'm well aware PS2 games continued to be made years after PS3's release). I played Abyss and I could no longer deny it... the game was awesome. Now, it did not dethrone Symphonia in my eyes (I played that game at a special time in my life and honestly the memories associated are just too strong), but I did recognize how great a game it was. The music, the characters, the story... Amazing game. I know Bamco has announced that they want to remaster or otherwise bring some older games up to par, and I sincerely hope Tales of the Abyss is one of them.

tales of the abyss needs a remaster or complete remake, this game in the series was underrated IMO

This was the first and only tales game i ever completed. Never been able to get into others. Theres just something about this one thats lacking in the others. I wish they would remaster and port it to modern consoles and pc as its one of the best jrpgs on the ps2!

So much nostalgia here. Play this game during the ps2 era. And still the best game of Tales series. After Abyss is Symphonia. What I really love about this game is bexause of Luke character development. From ignorant spoil brat to a hero. Even if the whole world is his enemy, he still want to save it. I even git emotional during the tower of rem arc.

I really like Fujishima's character designs, I hope this gets game gets a remaster. Heck, I'll be happy with a Switch port of the 3DS version (as I've only played the PS2 version)...
