It's called "adrenaline". Its a fairly well known phenomenon, actually. Some people's bodies react differently to high levels of adrenaline, which causes them to have the perception of time moving slowly, making mere seconds feel like minutes and minutes feel like hours. I've had this happen to me before, when I was driving a car behind a truck with a bunch of metal pipes and other stuff on the back, and the stuff all flew off the back of the truck. I was miraculously able to avoid all of the objects bouncing off the road toward me, and it felt like I had enough time between dodging each object, to hink about where the best opening to aim for to dodge everything and get out of harm's way, but it all happened in about 3 seconds.

You put the images next to one another and then pull in classic Scout images and you realize the only real similarities is the chamfered edges and that Scout is very much true to its heritage. What you start to understand is how much Rivian dipped into classic Americana for their design, not just Scout but Bronco and old school Jeep Wagoneer products.
