Those who view this as transphobia are absolute morons with embarrassingly bad moral compasses. Firstly, the character of Ray Finkle technically isn’t transgender, as he doesn’t actually identify as a woman. It’s just an elaborate disguise to help him get away with his scheme. Secondly, Ace Ventura’s been held by him at gunpoint and is now also held up that way by the police, therefore he has to do everything he can for his freedom. And thirdly, WHY are people offended by Ray Finkle getting stripped and humiliated just because he dresses like a woman, when he’s the one who’s caused all this trouble in the first place by doing WORSE? He committed MURDER, kidnapping and animal cruelty! Fuck him! I’m not saying you should make trans people unhinged criminals by default, but they’re also just as able to commit crimes as non-trans people. And they don’t deserve any more sympathy for committing murder just because they dress differently. And again, Ray Finkle technically ISN’T even transgender! 🙄
