so cuteeeee <3
My favorite tool when arranging flowers is a flower frog. You stick the bottom of the flowers onto the spikes and it holds them in the position you want so they don't flop around a lot
Oooh i’ve been wanting one of those! They seem like they can make for really unique arrangements!
I love seeing the process, my favorite knitting videos to see!
Your agnete is absolutely stunning 😍😍😍 and I love the little wonton workshop, I feel like trying to make some homemade ones too now
Yessss do it! Pretty easy and very fun!
Excellent job on your projects! 👏🏾🧶 Beautiful flower arrangement. 🌸 I like the way you styled your cardigan.💜
Cute!
I loved this! Your cardigan turned out so cute and this was so relaxing to watch!
thank you so much! Im glad you enjoyed!
Where's you yarn winder frommm? It looks like a turn table 😂
haha etsy!
I think your red tank could look super cute worn over a long sleeve top! 😀 maybe it would save you from frogging it
just found your channel and love your videos! I also have a tendreil sweater - I love the fit and I loved making it but I used drops air and it made me realized I don't love drops air held single rip
Oooh i havent used drops air before! What do you not like about it? :o
@@sweaterandspice Its super not breathable like most wools but it doesnt feel woolish and sheepy??? feels kind of acrylic to me - I love it on chunky needle with mohair but not a small gauge
omgg Erin so happy you're back! the mic on the yarn is such a cute hack and the Agnete Cardigan is such a great pattern, can't wait to see it all knitted up 😊
these bangs make you look 5 years younger easily
So nice to see you back !! Love the colour of your tendreil and the plan to only buy yarns where you can see the colour in person. I haven’t had bad experiences with online orders with colours yet but I generally also much prefer being able to get an irl impression of the texture and colour etc
Probably going to avoid mostly hand dyed online-only yarn (which makes me sad bc ive been wanting to try olivia&oliver) since places like KFO/etc have way more pictures of what the colors look like under different lighting! But we’ll see… 😗
glad yur back !
Love the color and zig-zag of your Tendreil Sweater. 💙
I missed your videos 😭😭😭😭
sorry for going MIA! 🙈
I have loved hearing about your knitting experience because it sounds like we have had similar pasts in having knit a bit as a kid and then picked it back up again after a long time of not knitting at all. Great overview to your experience and thank you for sharing!! This learning journey is fun, isnt’t it? 🙂
im also making the vienna blouse and glad to hear im not the only one who is a victim of it
hahaha so true tho
This was so great for so many reasons. I love how excited you are about how your projects are coming along. It’s infectious. I found this because I’m contemplating a tweed knit and went searching for some videos. Your tweed blouse is the BEST EVER. I love the fit on you so so much. I really enjoyed your Boston compilation at the end (was that homemade okonomiyaki?!?!) thanks for sharing that as well. I’m a brand new knitter in So Cal so I’ll keep watching to see if you talk about any LA yarn stores in future vlogs. Thanks!!
I love your Vienna cardigan! ❤ Maybe you knitted the icord along the edge a little tighter on the left side than the right side? That would make the left side seem shorter. You can probably pull this side longer when it’s wet.
def gonna try to aggressively block it longer!
I feLT that when you said your patience doesn't allow for longer sweaters haha. your pieces look gorgeous and smilla sleeves is now in my WIP queue!
Ahhhh your vienna blouse looks absolutely stunning!!! I loveeee the icord ties, the peplum and the very subtle marl in the yarns you chose! I can definitely see how it's a labor of love but the piece is amazing and looks great on you!
quick question, how can you actually buy the vienna blouse pattern?? i found the website but there is no “buy pattern” button whatsoever?
If you’re in the US there’s motherknitter where you can buy the pattern online I think but you also have to buy some Sandnes garn yarn with the order. I got my booklet from knitt.co but also had to buy 3 skeins of Sandnes garn andddd there was a flat shipping fee :(
Your knits look lovely ! Especially the Vienna cardigan, it is stunning on you. The stitches look so neat 🥰 Too bad the pattern is not widely available…
thanks! Yeah getting the Sandnes garn pattern booklets are kind of a pain in the US :(
I would frog it, mainly because i kow that i would end up frogging it later or never wearing and i don't like cutting yarn lots for surgery. I would also try to knot the button band with the rest of the cardigan because i dislike picking up for button bands but yeah. Good luck on your nova sweater. The saskie sweater is also in my queue after i do an easier colourwork one.
I love your smilla sleeves!! Looks so good on you
Both sleeves are the same honeycomb pattern so you can call it a “modified design feature”! You did it on purpose. 😀
true hahaha
i love that sandnes garn sweater, i have that pattern book but i dont think i have it in me. I knit the Amy slipover last year and i think i feel the same about that as you do for that cardigan
ooh I actually want to knit the Amy slipover soon! hopefully before summer! hahah I cast on the blouse with a friend and that was the only reason I was able to start it, otherwise idk how long I would’ve put it off for
If you can stomach it, I am a big believer in frogging. If it bothers you now, it will likely continue to bother you.
it’s 🐸 time for sure
I think if the collar of the peacock cardigan is going to bother you, its best to frog it now before you get any further. You don't want to finish it and not wear it because of the collar. I can't wait to see your colorwork sweater!
I think the cream bolero is soooooooo cute you just need to style it with a dress
worst case i give it to you hehe
I’m all here for your red era, these colours are gorgeous !! And congrats on finishing that peplum cardigan, what a journey 😅 i think if i was you I’d probably frog the peacock cardigan - the surgery would be an option, as you said, but if you enjoyed working on the lace motif, I think I’d have more fun reknitting than figuring out surgery on the collar 😅
yea the idea of sweater surgery puts me off so much that I’d rather frog the whole thing hahaha
🐸 the 🦚 ! it’s still going to bother you since it still bothers you after all this time ❤ you’ll be happy you did if it turns out cleaner and closer to what you want
v true 😤
I love your Vienna blouse so much wow! You've inspired me to cast it on. I recently had a cardigan with a similar issue (one side was longer) and I realized I had knit the button band way shorter on one side- my tension got tighter and probably picked up stitches at a different rate too. Maybe that's what happened with your applied i-cord?
🤯🤯🤯 omg this is probably it
Your red sweater is so gorgeous - your knitting is beautiful! I love all your knits and I can see your enthusiasm for what you've been knitting so if that same enthusiasm isn't there for the cream-colored peacock sweater - frog it. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than working for so long on something that you'll feel "meh" about later. Hugs from Texas!
very true!!
Your Vienna Blouse is stunning!! ❤❤❤
thank you! 🥰
First off, Happy New Year! I love how adventurous you are with your knitting and your plans for this year! You've inspired me to go out and do some sewing and gardening this year so thank you! Can't wait to see your knits and I hope you share your other hobbies with us! Hugs from Texas !
My first sweater was also a two strand mohair project like why? Haha Beautiful projects though, loved listening to your experiences and learnings form this last year of knitting ❤
Omg yes to the gardening / raised bed goal, so cool!!! So curious to see what you knit this year!
I always have so many new things I want to learn every year too. Sewing is also on my list. You can totally build a raised bed. I have the paul and cargill sweaters on my list too. Love them.
In the initial pics you posted a brioche sweater. Can I ask which pattern that is? Seasons pullover? Thanks.
September sweater by petite knit!
if you’re into comfy wide leg pants i’d recommend the pomona pants sewing pattern by anna allen! the pants are very simple and you learn how to make a pocket. i’ve made 4 pairs of pants from it
I’ll add this to my list of sewing patterns to make once i feel ready to tackle garments! thank you for the rec 💕
the tennis break was great! 🎾
huhuhu tenk you
i just absolutely fell in love with the nomad jacket. im not sure if i have skills for it yet but its going onto my knitting plan for the year
I believe in you!!!
Good to know that Sandnes Garn Duo is scratchy! I can’t even stand mohair so I don’t I could take in scratchy top!
everything is literally so cute!!! i’m obsessed
The drawstring top, maybe you don’t have to frog the hole thing if you actually like the top. Maybe pick a column on each side of the front and back and put in a life line. Then cut the seam and redo the mattress seam where your lifeline is for a better fit. I haven’t tried it but in theory I think it could work! 😅 Overall a great year of knits! ❤
You knit so much in your first year! And you pick colors that suit you so well ☺
Oh my gosh the Japanese Stitch Bible looks AMAZING!!!!! I need to check that out!
Ahhhhh I love the poppy tee!!! Such a stunning colour (I like the striping!!!)
