If you can find an old electric recliner it will have an electric jack screw that raises and lowers the recliner. They usually have a 6 to 8 inch throw. That should have plenty of power and ram travel

You can also use a trailer post jack, that lifts the triler up off of the hitch ball. They can lift hundreds of pounds.

If you go to a medical supply company sometimes they have old electric hospital beds kicking around. The motor is just a hair bigger but it will lift a ton of weight.. 400-600+. If you where to build a new one.
