In January, 2024, the good citizens of Princeton, NJ held a tea-burning to commemorate the actions of Princeton students who, 250 years ago, in January 1774, burned all the tea at the school in support of the patriots of Boston, who held a famous Tea Party of their own the previous month. Washington must've been a gambling man...
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
British or French ? (Equivalent to East vs. West) Who's side was George Washington on?- The actual question is, who was more in denial? EVERYONE. it was purely about SPICE_money and technologically advanced trade ambition. Both sides refused to safely incorporate and secure George Washington's ultimate influence until they had ultimate_loss. GRACE is the opposite of POLITICS. Both sides could have simply said: "Kindly, George Washington (or #JFC! 🫠 ) really/honestly we need you, and you will succeed in #sober_WISDOM with us. Okay? #OKAY ! As though Michael Jackson Prince and Kobe Bryant were still #ultimately_alive and well.

I would Ike to visit battlefield in Trenton nj
Washington didn't relieve him of command at the battle.
I don't think it was a big gamble. It was more like. Damn those red coats as Washington breath freezes in the cold . While looking across the Delaware at a warm looking town. What you going to do about it someone says. I will tell you exactly what I am going to do. I am going over there and have a beer 🍺. Washington say angrily. Get the boat. What should I do in the mean time. Some one says. Ahh I suppose ferry the men across aswell and rotate them out for a beer but quitely. Finally across. Washington says. Should we wait for more. No say Washington but you stay here and wait for more to arrive. while the rest of us brb 🍺. A couple of hours later. I am not going to pay you for this says Washington I am fighting for you freedom. Sir quite down a litte . I think he went to go get the British. As someone pulls Washington away and out of the bar. They run into some red coats and a brawl ensues. Do you know who I am you redcoat basalt. I am George Washington. Shooting starts and the troop coming to shore storm the city.
You can be outnumbered and outgunned, but strategy is the real key to success. Statistically the newly Founded America didn't stand a chance against the British. At this point in history Britain was the number one superpower of the world. So how did America win her independence and freedom? The battles were won with dedication, sacrifice, a willingness to sacrifice everything (including one's own life), and strategy. Where does strategy, such as the stealth of Washington as his army crossing the Delaware come from? It comes from confident leaders that stir inspiration in those around them. Leadership requires partnership, not dictatorship. Leadership is built on trust, not demands. Leadership only works when pride, entitlement, and power are set aside for respect, honor, and integrity. Washington was able to lead a stealth mission and gain the upper hand through true leadership. Washington had the respect of his men because Washington was a man of integrity. Washington was not above his soldiers, he served with them. That is a leader. That is how America was born. It is only with this type of leadership that America will continue to stand tall as the #1 world superpower. I can continue with this History lesson, but I don't think I need to. Britain did not lose from a lack of strength. The British held the title of #1. That was also the downfall of the British army under Cornwallis. His pride cost him an entire war, and a new prosperous Country was born. USA 🇺🇸
The world owes so much to General Washington and his army of Patriots.
The world? XD The fuck... You mean the United States

I think UA-cam presented me this link because I shoot reenactment videos from various eras. I was at Monmouth for the 240th, Saturday's event. I sat right behind the cannons and the cannonade was impressive. The procession and the advance of the Brits was quite a spectacle. I like your brief video of the history and added a like to the list.

Thank you brother
This is my educated guess but I think they put redcoats in is because there’s so few hessian re-enactors to have a comparable number to the Americans. So the redcoats my just be space fillers
Aim at the BLM scum. Victory over these vermin.
hmm. i want to tell, is that a real musket?
yes they are loaded with black powder
They know their drills pretty well that’s for sure
Hmmm. No redcoats there you say ? No matter, a mere technicality.

Hilarious! there were NO redcoats at trenton in 1776

@@knight0fren551 not at all... I didn't mean you... on the other hand, I'm impressed. I have studied that battle for as long as I can remember and even travelled to Marblehead, Mass to partake on the Col John Glover day up there. @@genkill3617 my apologies than and Glover was a Incredible Man and his marbleheaders were incredible! but the fact is there were NO redcoats at trenton as in the battle and ive Never heard of Any second battle of trenton And i have a ancestor whom served in Ralls Hessian regiment at trenton
also i have another ancestor who served in The British legion and fought at Kingsbridge in 1778
This was terrible. Nobody took hits for 1 and 2 the British were not present at that battle it was between the Americans and the hessians.
Now, teach that in your classrooms Great video!!!!
I an 3rd generation New Jerseyan so I know this story well. Washington’s troops departure from Washington Crossing, PA down the Delaware River to the state capital of Trenton, NJ is re-enacted every Christmas Eve. Never to forget their commitment to freedom and the founding of this great republic experiment.
this is taught in classrooms everywhere, lmao.
I know, I was there
All you need is one accidental musket bullet actually loaded and all the fun will be over when someone’s head blow wide open by a golf ball sized bullet (Yes I know they skipped a few process on the loading but imagine that, there wouldn’t be any reenactment forever)

Hey, wait a minute. I think the real battle was between the Hessian forces against the Americans. not England against America
yup 100%
Yea, I am right near where Washington crossed and it’s kinda cool
Yeah, the redcoats are a little out of place here. But we also have to be a bit more precise in telling of who fought whom. At the beginning of the revolutionary war the British crown was very short on soldiers. On the other hand, a whole lot of rulers of the many German principalities (remember at that time Germany was not a nation, but devided into a myriad of sovereign principalities) were short on money, but had good trained and equiped armies. And - as it is so often the case - demand met supply and since the inhabitants of such principalities were subjects to their rulers (as were the inhabitants of Great Britain) it was simply an act of selling a product to a customer. In this case about 30.000 troops from 6 different German principalities were "leased" by the British crown and shipped to the american colonies to fight for the King of England under British command against that "bloody rebels" who didn´t accept their status as subjects to the King. Most of all we have to be aware of the fact that an overwhelming majority of the troops were not voluntarily in America. Most of them came from very poor life situations with no perspective. Many were pressed into service against their will, came out of prisons or had the choice between gallows or to be a soldier. We see the "lack of motivation" in the high rate of desertions (about 6000 men at the end of the war) So we can say not "the Hessians" fought there, but a bunch of "items" from the "warehouses" of some German principalities were bought to do the fighting.
Marvin, basically what happened is on Christmas Eve, Washington and the Continental army crossed the Delaware River in the fog. While the Hessians were sitting down, singing Stille Nacht, being German, the Americans surprise attacked them, forcing the Hessians to retreat.
@@t._____keane Of course the Hessians were taken by surprise by Washingtons "all in" attack, which was his desperate attempt to save the revolution. Without his succesful attack, the area around Trenton would most likely still be British territory and you subject to the king. But one thing is for sure - the Hessians were not singing "Stille Nacht" as this song was composed not until 42 years later. And one more thing - "being German" is also not a correct term in connection with the year 1776. There was no Germany at that time and no one there felt like a German. If you want to emphasize the mentality you have to say "being Hessian", "being Bavarian", "being Prussian", "being Saxonian" and so on. But honestly, I don´t know how our Hessian mentality was back in 1776, but I would say that the Hessians celebrated christmas as most of us in the western hemisphere would do - unless we have urgent business to do...
lol but no one is dying at all
Would you?
imagine waiting an entire year for an event. You go in all kitted out, you spent so much money and you waited for so damn long. Then you decide, "I think i'll die in the first 5 minutes."
@@gabrielegenota1480 exactly! You gotta wait atleast 10 minutes before the muskets start malfunctioning😂
