I had to pause the video because I was laughing so hard at "mmm...forbidden dip."
Ok, so apparently I had no idea what the purpose of these weights were. I thought that it was to reduce muzzle flip/recoil. I had no idea that it was to help to keep the gun steady as you pull the trigger. This whole video great, thanks for the breakdown!
TANSTAAFL
I do need another rabbit hole to explore... thanks 😂
So, here are my thoughts on this. Take it with a grain of salt. In air pistol, I'm hovering around 560-570 usually. I shoot a CM162 and I only use weights to adjust the balance of the gun. The front sight will move around and that has some psychological effects. if your trigger pull causes it to move, the grip or trigger pull is wrong. For me, the best way to gain confidence has been to move the front sight post as far back as possible. And no, the shorter sight radius does not have a negative impact. But the sight picture will feel a whole lot more stable which, in turn, makes pulling the trigger a lot easier mentally. Not sure how far back you can move it on the K12, but give it a try.
I shoot PPC 1500 and really like heavy guns, and the way they improve results for 50 yard stages. Just makes the gun and sights damp and slow and stable, and more resistant to triggering errors. However, like you said it does wear you out, so I need to do weight training in the lead up to a match (dumbbells and grip trainers) to avoid fatigue. Thankfully in 1500 it's all 2 handed so it makes dealing with a 1.7 kilo revolver manageable. Anyway cheers for the video, I appreciated your descriptions about how weight exponentially changes as it approaches the muzzle.
Going from a $1300 David pedersoli percussion style. This thing is affordable
Huh, I recognized this place from the very first moment in the video :))) I stay there every time I go to Perry. Feels like home away from home :)
Good luck !
I'm about to begin, This shooting sport, and I'm not sure which pistol to get? I want the Best. One, that will take me from beginner, to Para Shooter
IVE NEVER HEARD SOMEONE SO STUPID
I have had similar results with a nice scope combo. Inexplicable inconsistency.
awesome keep up the good work 🤜🤜👍👍
i'm stuck on 2 hands!
I changed to double action way back ago, more aiming time. Think about it. edit: I see a potential problem of starting for the hammer too soon.
Every SA shot is a wasted opportunity to perfect your DA game. You can't SA without shifting your grip so you are fighting a bigger battle. Plus a DA pull acts like a pump gun in that it brings the sights back into line.
Yup, I have seen guys shoot a high 90 slow, 100 8x timed, and 100, 5x rapid. SW model 15.
With my small hands short fingers double action, even two handed, is a huge challenge on a K-frame (or double-stack semi). Double action seems best, but only if it works for your hands!
Definitely not DA for me, but even with SA I lose my grip after the first shot when trying to reach for the hammer and cock it. I'm a terrible revolver shooter...
Currently searching for a revolver good video thanks !
Thank you, sir... and so quick to boot! Video was awesome, so was the smooth technique. Definitely must practice RF a lot to get that proficient. Thanks again. Loved the photos too.
Double action for me.
What revolver is being used? S&W model?
S&W Model 14, most likely.
How many shots do you get with the Short model?
Maybe 70 ish before I refill.
@@BullseyePistolis that with a full 250bar fill?
Are you shooting at 10 yards and how big is the black on the target? Thank you for awesome content
Thanks brother. The black bull on a 10m air pistol target is 2 3/8 inches. I’m shooting at 9.6m so I reduced that size by 10% to accommodate.
@BullseyePistol Thank you. 👍
I'm not as good a shooter as you by far but what I often see is a kind of 'bell curve' to my scores: starting low, climbing and then getting worse again. How do you see that in your case if you do eg 80 or 100 shots? (For your 30 shot practice session, possibly the results will be the same when the order of the pellets used is reversed next time you try?)
Maaaaan...what a super nice blaster! I hope you enjoy it for years to come.
Forgive me, but could you do a rapid fire with revolver sometime? Currently trying to get that down, but still a bit slow. This 50 yard series is way cool! I'd love to see you continue this. Thanks
For sure. Next time I have a day I’m gonna do more 50 yard videos and the revolver is first up? I thought I had a rapid fire revolver video. But I could do another non shooting video and discuss how I think of it.
@@BullseyePistol Thx! Look forward to it
Great shooting but I would suggest none of your results is because of difference in pellets.
You might be right.
Mount them n a Shadow Box with targets used and include the letters. You can add different things like pictures, an example of the ammo you used, just let your imagination guide you. But you can always add or remove items. Congratulations.
I was wondering if you could help me out. I just started shooting air pistol this summer to help me with Bullseye Pistol. I shoot a Pardini K12. I love shooting the air pistol. I shoot R10 4.49 size in the heavy. Can you tell me what pellet size and weight would be to shoot. Love the channel. You’re a great mentor to all.
Thank you for the kind compliments. I love the R10 match but might suggest you try the R10 4.49 in the light weight. It might work a bit better for you. Have you toyed around with weights on your pistol?
@ yes I have. I’ve put all the weights forward towards the muzzle. I find it helps keeping the front end pointed down and it helps keeping the muzzle bouncing to a minimum when I get tried and shaking.
Most high end air guns come with the test target, showing the group and indicating the pellet size and weight, I think K12 also has a test target like that. Most pistols are happy with 4.50mm pellets light, 7.87 grain.
I started shooting airgun recently with that Huben GK-1 I love it but need to get an air tank set up.
Cool air pistol! Is it accurate?
@ very !
I bought a Colt Officer's 2nd Model[Heavy Barrel] in SAO out of an old bullseye shooters estate in 1989 [$300 Canadian]. It has the sweetest single action pull of any revolver that I own and will just lift the 1500 gram weight without breaking. The advantage that your Match revolver has over mine was a lot better sights. My K 14 is easier to shoot. Then I went to a M 52 S&W which I later sold to finance a pair of Pardini's in 22lr and 32spl. The Pardini pistols are much more forgiving than any of the Colt's, S&W or High Standard pistols and revolvers that I own.
Not the BAMCIS 😂😂
2:52 I'm more proud of my 3rd place medal in a DR match where Greg Markowski and Travis Jorgensen took #1 and #2 than some of my golds I've gotten at regional matches 😀I like to write down the match and scores on the back of the medal
watching your videos encouraged me to enter my club air pistol yearly championship... and I won! couldn't have done it without the 3 rules for life. thanks!
This makes me so happy. Keep it up. Congrats on the Win!
I shoot with a guy that has like 15-20 of these on his box(just the small round part)! Another guy has all sorts of stickers on outside. I'm still confused(need to talk to those guys) about all the different bullseye matches, CMP,NRA, president's 100, EIC, International pistol, and I'm sure there's more, I need a graph just to fit in my mind how they're related(are some open only to service or all open to civilians)
All the ones you mentioned above John are open to civilians.
Congratulations great achievement silver gold etc all great stuff
Thanks!
My letter from Christina when I legged out with service rifle had a typo. I consider that an added value. 😁
I can't imagine! That must've been pretty sweet.
Congrats !
Get some.
I'd say the revolver resembles a model 10.
Looks like a pre-war M&P or 1917. Can't really tell without a reference for scale
Nice! I’ve got the Darkfighter and it’s a nice gun for sure. I wouldn’t mind the Gunfighter as well. What trigger is that?
When I saw Accuracy X I had to see the video. That incredible group is consistent with their claims. That would be a pretty incredible group even if it was fired at 25 yards.
Does the pink paper signify something? At first I thought it might be your aim point but you said with the the dot it's point of aim, point of impact? Maybe it's for the 6 o'clock hold for iron sights? Now I want to test my 'efficiency' of all my guns! Would this be a quick comparator for improvement over time, easier/simpler than score average?
Off topic, but how do i determine the best spring weight for a 1911?
The problem with the dots is, the second it clicks, you start to miss all that info. Nothing lets you visualize your hold and wobble like a dot can. The wobble area like a heat map-if it’s centered over the black, that’s where the dot is spending most of its time, regardless of its brief trips to the 7-ring on either side. I abort twice as many LL shots with my wadgun because I can tell when I’m not holding centered. But my scores are consistently higher.
agree on the dot thing . my long line is probably 2 or 3 points lower with a dog. my short line is usually 1 or 2 points higher though. I need more time on a dot, or a setup i prefer
We all have Those Days.
I think I'll try it again for the camera to see if I can bring that group in a bit. After filming I probably shot 200 rounds rapid fire one handed at 50 yards to "get all the bugs out." Though the last of my recent 50 yard test series this gun was the first I shot that day. So there's that too.
Try a 5 inch Stealth Arms Platypus .
Oh man, I'd love to but I don't own one and don't have that kind of money lying around (anymore).
Thanks for sharing it's not easy letting everyone see a bad target !! Happy Turkey Day !!
You got that right!

Between slow, timed, and rapid which event separates winners from also rans.
For the people at the top? slow fire. For everyone else? rapid fire.
