I’m 4 months into my TRS adventure which was only supposed to be teaching myself to rappell but I found myself at the bottom of a mountain thinking now how the hell am I getting back up , and that’s what began my TRS adventure. I know I could’ve just walked back up but what’s the fun in that , Lol. I just really enjoy being out there on the rock with the added safety of always being attached to my rope. Looking forward to Yosemite soon.

I drive through here 3 -4 times a year and never see anything… is there a specfic time and day they fly? Best thing I have seen was an f16 on the deck out by Trona.

Nice catches, thanks for the upload. Question…. Is there a certain day or time of day that you’ll have a better chance of seeing them come through the canyon? Me and my brother sat out there for six hours one day and didn’t see anything. However, we did see an F-18 fly right over ahead of us on our way back out as we were crossing the valley floor, but nothing in the canyon. Thanks in advance :)

I grew up there in the late 60's thru the 80's, mostly bs'd at 18th Street, Newport point when I was 12-15, but went to the wedge when it was clean.............got my clock cleaned a few too many times, that wave has teeth. Stuck to board surfing after that. Kudos to the crazies that still rock it, but make sure your health insurance is up to date.

We were camping off 395 coming home from a road trip a few days ago and just at sundown an F18 flew in from the Death Valley side and started dancing around and above the clouds over the Sierras, in and out of afterburner for a good 5 minutes. Then he turned westward and disappeared. So cool.
