Do not worry about commenters who knock the shakiness of your videos! I do have one suggestion however. When filming use landscape mode instead of potrait mode. By doing this your video fills up the entire screen (instead of black rectangles on each side of your video) and and enhances the "cinematic experience". You and your Sons are great and I imagine Dad is pretty awesome too. I hope you continue your adventures. Michael from Exeter, NH.

Thank you! Appreciate that. All footage from AZT and CDT already exists, so we can only make the best of what we have. Post CDT & going forward, considering insta 360 camera, which may help with stabilization (hopefully?) and resolve storage/issues. Or...open to suggestions for best easy to carry/easy to use camera for action video of future hikes/adventures. Thanks again - for watching and kind words.

Good to see you hiking the AZT, a wondeful rugged adventure. Qustion though, you went across the bridge at Roosevelt Lake onto Tonto Basin and back onto the AZT from there into the Mazatzals, what happened to the Four Peaks area? If you skipped it you missed an amazing part of the AZT.

The hockey puck is actually an adventure rider motorcycle hack. The kickstands are terrible for sand and the cost of a longer and wider kickstand is outrageous. A hockey puck is super cheap, bolts on and sometimes weighs less. They also last a few years so it’s a better alternative for most people.

You may not see this, im watching your videos in may 2024.. try a backpacking solar panel, I have one about $20, 10x8 and a few oz. bought years ago so im guessing they've improved. Also, a waist light setup for walking in the dark, lights the trails really well. Kind of pricey, but i dont see why one couldn't make one with a headlamp. Also, a pocket holder for your phone so you have 2 free hands. Of course would take practice.. love your videos and your children are wonderful!! I love their enthusiasm, young boys convo and humor!!! Mine are 49 and 39 , I miss those years, continue to enjoy!!! I also enjoy when they take take turns behind the camera!
